for those who left

Stella has not posted here since March, but I asked another member about her and they said she is blogging and posting often elsewhere. I think-of course this is only my opinion-that she got tired of fighting the fight in the BDSM forum.

I miss dampanties and Stella Omega.

It's ironic that some posting here about how harassment drove of some really good writers, are guilty of the same thing. Ah well, hypocrisy and bullying seldom recognize themselves.

Equal to the hypocrisy of some who say they are leaving due to XYZ for their own happy place, but then still snaking around here to play little games.

But snakes aren't likely to recognize themselves either.

NO one eve wins an argument, especially on the net because everyone is of course always 100% right.

That cite is erroneous to the issue. Stella ran a two-year-long thread on the GLBT board about having had permission to gather discussion on opening a bi category. About eighteen months into that discussion you posted to the AH board (not to the thread she had) that you hadn't given her permission to gather discussion on that for you and that you had no intention of having a bi category. I'm not going to pretend that didn't happen, and, frankly, I believe Stella more than I believe you. I'm sure I'm not the only one who followed the discussion (although few probably realize you posted to an irrelevant board on it--although links were given on Stella's thread).

This is the relevant thread: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=814085. And post 127 on this thread links back to your denial on a different board. (See post 216 of that thread.)

In relation to this thread (those who left), Stella posted to a different thread that she was tired of being deep sixed on this and would be posting mostly elsewhere.

I have no idea why Stella left, but the links Pilot posted don't back up what he said. It seems clear to me that Laurel told Stella she'd be happy for some input, and that Stella could share the PM on the board for discussion, if she would like. Laurel did not say, "Put it to a vote, and I'll do whatever the majority wants me to" she did not say, "I promise there will be a bi category." And, in Pilot's links, I did not see where Laurel recanted giving Stella permission to share the PM or open the topic to debate. All Laurel said was that she never promised anything, and from what I can see, she didn't.

If Stella misunderstood, or people got over zealous in their enthusiasm, well, that can happen.

You didn't read through the whole thread I cited, did you? That thread was a sticky thread on the GLBT, which could only have been provided by admin. Not once did Laurel post to that thread (as far as I can see). She let the thread run for years and only posted she had no intention of entertaining the discussion on a different board.

So, when Stella said she was pulling back for being jerked around, I have no trouble seeing that she--and the issue--were jerked around.

And what's this to you, sheablue, other than your current campaign of attacking me on the behest of the self-proclaimed "best writers of erotica" voting and attack clique you're a member of?

The first ones I think of were all heavy hitters (all with multiple stories in the All Time HOF) in the GM category.

Robcub32 who is still cranking stories and books out, but in the paid market.

TimothyM who got fed up with the insanity of this forum and being harassed by anonymous comments.

(both of them are still active in the author community and posting at another site I'm also a member of)

Kitten2010 was in the paid market for a while, but got married and is busy with a new baby. She has been writing occasionally but posts at another site.

Rob is posting a story with the Wednesday Briefers too, if you didn't know. (It's a flash fiction grp run by Julie Lynn Hayes)

Actually, I did read through it all. I still don't see where Laurel made or broke any promises. I don't know about the sticky issue. Or why it matters. Why is it Laurel's fault if people kept bumping up the thread? Or where she posted more information about it?

I see that it's an important issue to you, and that you feel slighted or ignored.

I said I missed Stella, and you proposed this was the reason she left, so this conversation directly concerns me, as I see it. You made a statement, Laurel disagreed, I became curious and investigated the links you provided. Why did you provide them if you didn't want people to read them and make up their own minds?

That I disagree with you is not an attack. Are you so thin-skinned? I was not disrespectful to you at all. I am just continuing the discussion that I am a part of, as is my right. I just happen to disagree that the evidence you put forth proves your point. Show me where, in this thread, I was being disrespectful, or attacked you.

And honestly, who my friends are, or what writing group I am a part of, has no bearing on this discussion at all. As it hasn't the last several times you've brought it up. I'm a grown up person with my own opinions, no one tells me what to post or who to agree or disagree with. That's just silly. Again, that's not an attack against you, just my opinion, which obviously differs from yours.

Go back and read post 32 carefully and you will understand.

Post 32 from what? From where? I feel like I do understand. Wanna save me some time and explain it to me? (Said totally without sarcasm, I swear.) I've got kids to pick up from school, and wrangle for the rest of the day. Unfortunately no more time for internet investigations, or to reread what I've already read. I'm happy to read your Cliff's notes, should you care to provide them.

Though really, it doesn't matter what I believe, or you or pilot believe. No one can be 100% sure unless Stella reappears and sets us all straight. And I find that very unlikely to happen.

Ah, another member of the "best writers of erotica" voting and attack clique.

And just FYI, I believe it's "some of the best voices in literary erotica". If you are going to use our Amazon paid-market, advertising/marketing tagline (which has nothing to do with Lit) against us, please get it straight.

For anyone who continues to read this, please believe me when I say I am as tired of the constant references to the "voting and attack clique" as you all are. Please note who continues to bring it up totally out of context. For my part, I promise to ignore any more references to it, by anyone.

Post 32 of this thread, of course. (Were you just trying to be cute about that?) The subject is why Stella pulled back. There is, of course, the question of whether Laurel or Stella is right about Laurel’s interest in seeing discussion on a bi category with the possibility of opening such a category. I personally go with Stella considering the documented posting of Laurel. The “jerked around” aspect of this is that Stella provided a nearly three-year-long discussion thread on this, saying she had coordinated with Laurel on doing so—and Laurel didn’t say a damn thing on that thread. She denied she was considering doing this on an entirely different board—and after much delay. That’s jerking around. And it’s all indexed in Post 32 of this thread.

As far as this thread’s topic, Stella doesn’t have to come back and say why she pulled back. She already said why in this thread, post 270 (once again asserting that Laurel was on board with the bi category discussions): http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=746710&page=10.

“I'm tired of writing these proposals-- per Laurel's request-- and being poked at and jeered at and attacked for it... and MAYBE something happens, and maybe not, even though we jumped through the hoops. And maybe the writer asks to do it all over again because the outcome really wasn't what we hoped for-- and then there's big fat arguments about that, too.
“I've gone to tumblr and fetlife for my GLBT -- especially trans-- discussion.”

You can stick your head in the sand about seeing and following the threads/posts cited all you like. Doesn’t change what was posted about the admin jerking around that Stella cites for pulling back from Lit. posting.

And you can stop trying to make this about me. The issue is on why Stella has pulled back. And Laurel's post on this thread to that gave an erroneous cite of the issue involved.

FYI

Your summer anthology boasts 10 new stories by "The Best Voices in Literary Erotica"

The new one says "some of" as perhaps the digs here made someone realize how pompous the initial slug sounded.

So please get your own advertising straight.
