From the article:
Anticipating a sharp reduction in aid under Trump, the outgoing Biden administration is rushing billions of dollars in assistance to Ukraine in its final few weeks. An aid package the White House announced on Tuesday includes a whopping $2.5 billion worth of equipment and ammunition, including “thousands” of rockets for Ukraine’s HIMARS launchers.
THANK YOU PRESIDENT BIDEN!!!

Did world war 3 happen yet?

I remember when Japan was going to do it.LOL. Nope, and it's not happening because of Ukraine. The real WW3 will be with China, and it'll be economic and asymmetric. We're already fighting that one.
I remember when Japan was going to do it.
Weird.
1980s.You do? Was that the while Japan military-industrial resurgence and imperialism thing? When was that? I thought that was just a few off-beat action novels.

You forgot to add that Honest Hunter Biden was on the board of the Ukrainian oil company, while daddy was VP! And the Dumbs think Trump is crooked. Wow.James Comer: FBI Doc Alleges ‘Business Person from Ukraine’ Sent ‘Substantial Bribe’ to VP Biden
WENDELL HUSEBØ7 Jun 2023
The FBI’s informant file of a $5 million bribery scheme allegedly linked to President Joe Biden concerns the family’s business deals in Ukraine, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed Monday.
In May, Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) made bombshell claims after reviewing an FBI FD-1023 form that documented the informant’s allegations of an alleged bribery scheme involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Joe Biden and a foreign national. Comer disclosed the informant tip is dated June 30, 2020.
“Yes, it is Ukraine,” Comer told The Just the News. “This form 1023 involves a business person from Ukraine, who allegedly sent a bribe, a substantial bribe to then Vice President Joe Biden.”
The Biden family frequently visited Ukraine for its respective business. Then-Vice President Joe Biden served as the Obama administration’s Ukrainian “point person” on U.S. foreign policy. He visited Ukraine six times while serving as vice president.

I said long ago there is good reason to believe that Joe Biden has been compromised by Ukraine and other countries.
It looks like Russia is transferring some naval assets (whatever is left?) from Syria to Benghazi (Libya) Unclear what that means, but it seems that the Russians ability to transfer assets/personnel back through the straits to the Black sea will only be at Turkey's pleasure which may be slow in coming. Their only alternative to get men and materiel home would be via Murmansk in the Baltic. It reflects again Russia's total inability to project power outside the Eurasian land mass. Strategically it is far more important than the US leaving Afghanistan because the US has a powerful carrier fleet and bases access in Cyprus and Diego Garcia in particular.
Indirectly, the Ukraine issue has helped the isolation of Russia from the Med and its access to Africa. The detail of how this conundrum will develop for Russia is very unclear at present.
What I don't understand is: Why, once the Assad regime fell, didn't the Ukrainian operators move to the russian bases and schwack the cargo planes while on the ground? Seems like a big miss.Interesting geopolitical ramifications aren't they.
I doubt whatever operators Ukraine had/has in Syria were prepared for the collapse of the Assad regime - it happened so fast - and those Russian bases still had a lot of Russians - I think the Syrian resistance wanted them out, rather than having to fight them.... and I don't know if anyone has any real idea how many Ukrainians were in Syria. I doubt there were many. What I don't understand is: Why, once the Assad regime fell, didn't the Ukrainian operators move to the russian bases and schwack the cargo planes while on the ground? Seems like a big miss.
LOL. Proving yet again that that the Biden Administration has been screwing Ukraine over and slow walking aid for the last 3 years. This is all aid that should have been provided over the last two years where it would have been REALLY useful. As it is, it simply proves that the Biden Administration was simply keeping Ukraine on a tight leash by restricting their supply of key ammunition in particular, all in a useless attempt to provide Putin with an off-ramp he will never take. Also proves the whole ammo shortage was engineered by Biden, and was completely needless, but nevertheless resulted in key positions being lost and thousands of Ukrainian soldiers dyeing to help Democratic Party political posturing. Revolting and sickening political malarkey from the traitorous Biden Administration who, thank god, will soon be gone.
All this last minute flood of dollars is NOT to help Ukraine - if that was the intention it would have been spread over the last two years - Biden has ALWAYS had this funding available and could have done this on an ongoing basis, when it would have seriously helped Ukraine. If Harris had been elected (puke), this funding would have simply expired, unused. The only reason it's happening now is the traitors illegitimately and traitorously running the USA in Biden's name are trying to screw Trump over before the handover.
Now, my guess is, Trump will simply say nothing and this aid will all go through with no moves to cancel anything after Jan 20th - it simply helps Trump, who has no intention of walking away and abandoning Ukraine, and allows him to keep the anti-Ukraine aid patriots happy - because Biden can carry the can for all this spending, Which WILL help Ukraine.
In the meantime, he can position the negotiations with Putin, which WILL fail because Putin's demands are NOT ones that the USA could ever accept, as having failed due to Russian intransigence, which they will because they are, and Trump can then do exactly what he said he would do, and flood Ukraine with more weapons - a few hundred Bradleys and more F16's would go a LONG way to changing the balance quickly. More Abrams would be nice, but it's good IFV's and equipment for the existing Brigades that don't have it, along with HIMARS, air defence, and artillery ammo that Ukraine needs badly. BUT to keep a lot of the base happy, Russia needs to be seen as turning down perfectly reasonable agreements first - and Putin can be guaranteed to do that, this allowing Trump to position himself as, "well, I tried, but that Putin, well...."
Trump can then open the floodgates and supply the weapons the Biden Administration has failed to deliver the the last three years. Cheaply. Because he can sell them to Ukraine at book value via land-lease. No loan. Ukraine will pay. But they will not pay the inflated "replacement cost" meaning they can afford to take the loans.....
Realpolitik by everyone - Biden, Trump, Ukraine.
Of course they will reject them. Putin can hardly afford to accept them. Not after almost a million casualties. The war will continue. Russia is on it's next to last legs. Their armor is almost gone. Ukraine now has more effective artillery and more accurate. Drone production is stepping up exponentially. The drone wars are only beginning. A Ukrainian sea drone just shot done a Russian helicopter off the Crimean coast - Russia has already lost the naval war. They are on the verge of losing the air war.
Once the Russian glide-bomb threat is reduced, Russia will have lost the air war....and Russian manpower is running down. They are close to being unable to keep running the human wave tactics that have kept them in the war for the last year. European support is building - Lynx and Fuchs IFV's will be rolling off the production lines, and god knows what else will be delivered. 2025 is the year this war will turn in Ukraine's favor and Ukraine will be able to take the initiative.
Russia will reject two reported Trump proposals to end war in Ukraine, says Kremlin
Ukraine's GUR Successfully Destroys Aerial Target with Magura V5 Naval Drone.
On December 31, 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence special unit “Group 13” achieved an unprecedented military feat by destroying an aerial target using the Magura V5 naval drone. This marks the first instance in history where a naval drone, armed with missile weaponry, has been employed to neutralize an airborne threat.
The R-73 missile, in its "Sea Dragon" adaptation for naval platforms, represents a significant leap in weapon system versatility. Originally developed as a short-range, air-to-air missile with infrared homing capabilities, its thrust-vectoring nozzles and wide-angle seeker have been repurposed to engage aerial targets from a surface platform. This adaptation involved reengineering launch mechanisms and fire control systems to ensure compatibility with the Magura V5’s autonomous operational profile. The missile’s infrared guidance allows it to effectively track heat-emitting targets, even under high-mobility conditions, making it especially lethal against rotary-wing aircraft such as the Mi-8.
During the operation near Cape Tarkhankut, Crimea, the Magura V5’s advanced detection and targeting systems identified the Russian Mi-8 helicopters. Likely utilizing a combination of radar and electro-optical/infrared sensors, the drone locked onto the targets before launching the R-73 missile. One helicopter was destroyed in mid-flight, while a second sustained critical damage but managed to retreat to its base. The precision of this engagement highlights the effectiveness of integrating sophisticated missile systems with unmanned platforms.
