For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

There is a big difference between assisting Israel in its war with Iran by conducting a limited, targeted strike on Iran’s uranium enrichment sites and “bombing the shit out of Moscow.” Russia is a nuclear superpower.
Oh waaaaaay bigger and I dubt Trump would do it - he's just shit-talking like an idiot

Ukrainian SBU eliminates Russian assassination team in Kyiv who assassinated SBU Colonel Ivan Voronych - a big loss for Ukraine

Russia sent a deadly hit squad to assassinate Ukraine’s top spy, Ivan Voronych. In broad daylight, five silenced shots rang out in Kyiv—killing a key mastermind behind Ukraine’s intelligence victories. But Ukraine struck back fast. In just three days, the entire assassination team was wiped out. This video reveals the shocking details behind the killing, the high-stakes shadow war between the SBU and FSB, and what Voronych’s death means for the future.

Ukraine is no longer quite so dependant on US Intelligence - Japan has has just revolutionized Ukraine’s battlefield intelligence.

By granting access to its cutting-edge SAR satellite network, Japan is giving Ukraine the power to see through clouds, camouflage, and darkness—anytime, anywhere. This real-time radar data is now directly integrated into Ukraine’s military systems, making Russian concealment nearly impossible. More than a tech upgrade, it signals Japan’s deepening strategic support and marks a turning point in Ukraine’s growing independence from U.S. intelligence networks.

Trump is going to supply arms to Ukraine … but only because other nations in NATO will be paying for them?

Transactional administration.

That was on the cards before he was elected. I'm pissed that it's taken him so long to get to what was inevitable. Mind yuo, I'm relieved that he finally got here. As longe as Ukraine gets the weapons, it doesn't matter how.

That said, I'm still not votimg for GOP in 2026, or Vance in 2028. Fuck them. FAFO.

Ukrainian forces have destroyed multiple Russian drone production facilities in recent weeks, including major sites in Cheboksary, Yelabuga, and Sergiev Posad. On June 9 and July 5, Ukraine struck the Progress plant twice, damaging antenna array lines used in Iskander missiles and Shahed drones. On June 15, another strike hit the massive UAV factory in Yelabuga.

These deep-range attacks targeted sites up to 800 miles from the front lines, crippling Russia’s ability to mass-produce drones. The July 5 strike was followed by successful hits on key components manufacturers in Izhevsk, Zubovo, and Michurinsk. Ukraine’s campaign is slowing Russian drone output at a time when monthly strike volumes have surged past 5,400.

It's All Over Now, Baby Blue - Russia's Navy is done....

Russia's Navy is a shell of what's it's claimed to be. A paper tiger of decrepit ships and ramshackle tactics....and now they're scrapping their one and only aircraft carrier.

Russia appears set to scrap its only aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, as reported by The Economic Times on July 12. Once capable of deploying 16 Yak-41Ms and 12 Su-27Ks, the 58,600-ton ship is now a symbol of failure after years of mechanical breakdowns, fires, and repair delays. A $98.47 billion naval upgrade plan announced in April is unlikely to reverse Russia’s naval decline amid mounting setbacks.

Russia’s ability to repair and sustain its navy is crumbling. Ukraine’s attacks have disabled key Crimean dry docks, leading to total abandonment of repair efforts in the region. With over 26 vessels damaged or destroyed and Turkey blocking naval reinforcements into the Black Sea, Russia’s naval forces are shrinking fast. Western sanctions, inflation, and a failing economy make recovery increasingly unlikely.

Cut off your nose to spite your face kind of thinking.

You were/are wrong. Perpetuating it isn't going to change that.

For those who think Zelensky is a dictator LOL

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has passed legislation approving the president's decree to extend martial law and general mobilization in the country for another 90 days, until November 5.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, an MP from the Holos (Voice) faction, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform. He specified that 320 MPs supported Bill No. 13471 "On Approval of the Presidential Decree on Extending Martial Law in Ukraine," while 304 lawmakers backed Bill No. 13472 "On Approval of the Presidential Decree on Extending General Mobilization."

Accordingly, martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine have been extended until November 5, 2025. Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. On the same day, martial law was imposed and general mobilization was declared, initially set to last until March 26. Since then, the Ukrainian parliament has periodically extended both measures. The previous extension was in effect until August 7, 2025.

The Ukrainian Parliament has to approve these measures - without their approval, they aren't legal. Martial Law has now been extended to November 2025. By the Ukrainian Parliament.

To a certain extent it is, but Trump's backstabbing of Ukraine was totally beyond the pale as far as I'm concerned, and Vance was egging him on. He may have decided to sell Ukraine weapons via NATO but I don't trust him in the slightest to continue supporting Ukraine in any way. It'd take 1000 Bradley's, a flock of Tomahwks and another 100 F16's and a good few Blackhawks to change my mind

The only one who can change your mind; is you. Stubborn refusal to do so, in spite of the clear evidence, is on you instead of Trump or me or anyone else.

There are times when being stubborn is a godsend. This is not one of them.

Latvia demonstrates to TACO how easy it is to assist Ukraine. All it takes is a little willpower and a decision not to side with Evil. Something that seems beyond the Transactional President

The first Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers promised by Latvia have arrived in Ukraine, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa announced during her visit to Kyiv on July 15 following a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Shmyhal confirmed that both sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation between Ukrainian and Latvian manufacturers, particularly in defense production, innovation, and joint development of military equipment and drones.

On July 1, Latvia’s government approved the transfer of 42 Patria 6x6 vehicles to Ukraine, along with spare parts, weapons, and ammunition, according to Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds. Spruds emphasized that Latvia will train Ukrainian personnel, equip the vehicles, and ensure their timely delivery. He added that Latvia’s military support for Ukraine will continue and is expected to reach 0.25% of the country’s GDP in both 2025 and 2026. The Patria 6x6 is an armored personnel carrier originally developed by Finnish company Patria to enhance troop mobility and protection. It can transport up to 10 soldiers, is powered by a 400-horsepower Scania diesel engine, can reach speeds over 100 km/h (62 mph), and has a range of up to 700 km (435 miles).

Unlike the USA, which has literally 1,000's of stockpiled Bradleys, of which a substantial numbercould be xferred to Ukraine without any impact to the USA's defenses, Latvia built these Patria's in their own plant and transferred them immediately to Ukraine, despite the risk that Putin may well turn on the Baltic States next. Latvia, a tony country, donated these to Ukraine, asking for no payment in return.

Um, MR was pointing out how DonOld (the corrupt, traitorous POS representing the U.S.) won’t FUND the Ukrainian war effort.

The U.S. (especially after signing that coerced rare earth minerals deal), of all countries, should be FUNDING the Ukrainian war effort; full stop.

DonOld (a corrupt traitor) PROFITEERING off the Ukrainian war effort is corrupt & cringe AF, and is a FURTHER embarrassment to / humiliation of the United States.

Hope that ^ helps.

'Not our war' - Trump's Nato weapons deal for Ukraine sparks MAGA anger

Putin supporters MTG and Steve Bannon are very upset that Trump agreed to sell arms to NATO nations that they will supply to Ukraine.

Republican Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene, a key Trump ally, and former Trump strategist Steve Bannon are among those who have criticised the decision, with Bannon telling his podcast listeners that Ukraine is a "European war".
