For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

I'd be fed up with Europe as an "ally" too. And we don't even need to talk about Trump anymore.

Ukraine is no longer relying solely on the promises of its allies and is preparing to defend itself if security guarantees fail — Politico. The main idea is to transform the country into a "steel fox" that Russia won't dare attack again. What the plan includes:
  • A permanent large army — Kyiv insists on maintaining an army of up to 800,000 troops even after a potential peace.
  • Massive investments in drones, missiles, electronic warfare, and long-range attack systems. By 2025, Ukraine had ordered 4.5 million FPV drones and spent more than 110 billion hryvnia — three times more than the previous year.
  • Its own cruise missiles and ballistic missiles are being developed, capable of striking targets deep within Russia.
  • The plan includes developing its own cruise missiles and ballistic missiles capable of hitting targets deep inside Russia. Development of an independent defense industry capable of operating reliably even under the pressure of war.
  • Procurement of modern technology—tanks, artillery, air force, including the acquisition of up to 150 Gripen fighter jets.
The main problem is a lack of funding: The defense industry has the capacity to produce $35 billion worth of goods but only has contracts worth $12 billion.

Why Ukraine is changing its approach:
  • Trump ruled out Ukraine joining NATO, and alternative security guarantees are considered unreliable in Kyiv.
  • Experience with the 1994 Budapest Memorandum has shown that political promises can prove empty.
  • There are doubts about the US's willingness to actually punish Russia in the event of a violation of a future ceasefire agreement.
In Kyiv, they emphasize that even if international missions or agreements emerge, they should only supplement the Ukrainian army, not replace it. "With a neighbor like this, Ukraine must be prepared to defend itself," the publication concludes.

Ukraine needs to develop nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to targets in Russia.

Azov commander: Stop counting kilometers—Ukraine’s real war is psychological

A commander who survived Russia's Olenivka massacre says Ukrainians are focused on the wrong thing.

Lt. Col. Arsen Dmytryk argues that constantly watching the front line move on maps is driving people toward despair—when the real battle is psychological.

He points to a lesson from American POWs in Vietnam: you have to see dangers clearly without letting yourself believe defeat is inevitable. The optimists who thought they'd be home by Christmas broke first.

Likewise, "If you allow the idea that the enemy's victory is the most likely option, your personal psyche slowly begins to collapse," Dmytryk writes.

His bigger point: Ukraine is actually winning the adaptation race, changing faster than Russia can respond. That's what matters in a long war—even when the map doesn't show it.

Sweden and Denmark to donate new Tridon Mk2 air-defense systems to Ukraine to counter Russian drones

The governments of Sweden and Denmark confirmed they will move forward with a joint donation of Tridon Mk2 air-defense systems to Ukraine’s Armed Forces, with the aim of strengthening air defenses against Russian drone attacks. The announcement is part of broader European efforts to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities to protect its airspace and critical infrastructure—one of the targets of Russia’s strikes. The initiative will provide Ukraine with enough equipment to outfit a unit equivalent to an air-defense battalion.

Denmark’s contribution to the donation is valued at 300 million Danish kroner and will be financed through Donation Package 29, presented in December. According to officials, the agreement covers not only the air-defense systems themselves, but also the supply of ammunition and spare parts required to operate the Swedish-origin Tridon Mk2 systems produced by BAE Systems.

Denmark’s Minister of Defence, Troels Lund Poulsen, stated that “with the donation, Denmark is helping strengthen Ukraine’s air-defense capability in the middle of a winter in which Russian air attacks against civilian infrastructure are affecting the country’s energy supply.” In that regard, he added that “continued and massive military support to Ukraine is crucial to give it the capabilities needed to endure and continue its fight for freedom.”

From Sweden, Minister of Defence Pål Jonsson highlighted the relevance of the joint initiative and said that “the fact that Sweden and, as of today, Denmark are donating Tridon to Ukraine is significant.” He explained that a joint acquisition intended to support Ukraine not only helps strengthen its battlefield capabilities, but also improves Swedish, Nordic, and European security of supply.

The Tridon Mk2 system was officially presented in 2024 at the Eurosatory International Defence and Security Exhibition in Paris, as part of BAE Systems’ response to growing demand for air-defense capabilities among European armed forces. The company emphasized that it is a high-precision mobile air-defense system designed to fill existing gaps and increase the availability of air-defense assets across different operational scenarios. BAE Systems stated that the Tridon Mk2 “is a high-precision mobile air-defense system, equipped with critical munitions capabilities, including the programmable Bofors 3P ammunition, which forms the backbone of the system.” The company also indicated that the system has an effective range of up to 12 kilometers, depending on the target type, the selected ammunition, the sensor suite, and the terrain—giving it high operational flexibility.

Ahead of its presentation at Eurosatory 2024, BAE Systems Bofors President Lena Gillström said that “the Tridon Mk2 is the ideal solution for combat operations, where soldiers need a proven, high-precision and reliable air-defense system to keep the sky clear and protect both troops and infrastructure.” These characteristics position it as a relevant option for armies looking to complement higher-cost missile-based systems.

The Tridon Mk2 is a 40 mm air-defense artillery system, self-propelled and remotely operated, designed to counter a wide range of aerial and ground threats. It can be employed against drones, cruise missiles, aircraft, and armored vehicles, and is conceived to operate as a rapid-response air-denial system. Its modular design facilitates deployment, maintenance, and adaptation to new technologies. With this joint donation, Sweden and Denmark aim to tangibly reinforce Ukraine’s air-defense capacity at a time when the intensive use of drones and air attacks has become a central feature of the conflict. The induction of Tridon Mk2 systems will expand protection for military forces and civilian infrastructure, strengthening Ukraine’s defensive posture against a broad range of aerial threats.

Ukraine is becoming so proficient at downing drones that Russia is tripling (allegedly) the production of Iskander missiles.

Ironically, Iskanders are harder to make, more expensive, and less accurate than drones.

And the price of an Iskander often exceeds the value of the target it destroys.

If Ukraine hangs tough for another year, Russia will definitely collapse under the financial strain and internal strife (but Ukraine needs to up their kinetic sanctions on legitimate military targets - like Iskander production facilities and oil refineries / storage sites, etc).

👍

Yep, 100%. Their finances are going to shit quicker and quicker. Ukraine needs to just suck up the pain of the terrorist attacks and keep poundng their oil infrastructure, production facilities, eectricity and rail network, ports, and hit that 50k dead Russians per month.....

(And fuck Trump for not helping the Ukrainians with direct military aid).

And not just fuck Trump. You know what I thought of Biden - that applies to Trump, squared. Biden was well-meaning. Trump is just fucking evil.

Something EERIE is Happening in Pokrovsk... Russian Troops Are Too SCARED To Fight

Pokrovsk isn’t just another battlefield. It’s a place Russian soldiers fear more than the enemy itself. Units arrive in overwhelming numbers—then freeze, refuse to fight, or vanish entirely. Rumors of a “Pokrovsk curse” spread through the ranks as training disappears, logistics collapse, and morale shatters. In this video, we step into the boots of a Russian soldier sent straight to hell. And what happens next explains everything.

Ukraine's Rope-A-Dope Strategy is Destroying Russian Assaults

Ukraine is using rope-a-dope battlefield tactics to bleed Russian assaults dry, and in this video I break down why trading space on purpose has become one of Kyiv’s most effective defensive tools. This isn’t retreat. It’s geometry, timing, and systems warfare built around drones and pre-planned fires.

I explain how lightly held bait positions pull Russian assault teams forward, how Ukrainian units deliberately displace before contact turns lethal, and how drones, artillery, and loitering munitions erase Russian troops once they bunch up. This is defense as a machine, not a line on a map, and it punishes mass, predictability, and slow adaptation.

Kremlin Faces Revolt From Its Own Ranks

The Pokrovsk offensive reveals a structural breakdown of a superpower constrained by city streetlights. Historic maneuvers once collapsed empires in weeks, but current tactical reality involves advancing at 15 to 70 meters per day. This mechanical failure stems from a predatory paradox where high-end assets remain for regime protection while obsolete T-62 tanks go to the front. A nuclear power is strangled by streetlights.

Human costs surpass 1,240,000 in liquidations, creating a blood money economy where signing bonuses exceed lifetime earnings but leave villages decimated. Terminal stagnation mirrors 1917 internal ruptures where casualty lists dissolved the social contract. Macro-economic indicators suggest a liquidation of the genetic future as birth rates collapse to 1.3 and the working-age male population shrinks by 15 percent. Russia buys centimeters of dirt for centuries of debt.

11,625 tanks have been liquidated, representing 143 percent of the fleet. Annual losses of 2,400 armored vehicles against production of 900 units create a structural gap of 1,500 vehicles. Strategic intelligence regarding the collision between oil price volatility and industrial collapse remains the primary driver for stability. Understanding shifts in authoritarian power dynamics is essential for navigating the geopolitical reset of 2026.

SLAVA UKRAINI!!!

Side note:

Your continued need to try and include President Biden when discussing DonOld Trump’s FAILURE / TREASON regarding Ukraine is getting tiresome.

The realities of the Ukraine war that President Biden was dealing with were orders of magnitude more challenging & complex than what DonOld Trump inherited (President Biden had already established the coalition and logistics pipeline and incrementally authorized ever more sophisticated weapons systems as the Ukrainians proved themselves reliable partners) - and DonOld STILL FAILED (betrayed Ukraine, NATO, etc in service to Putin).

Building a Professional Army

Sniper training at the 199th Air Assault Training Center begins with ruthless selection and ends with full-spectrum preparation for modern warfare.
Only discipline, endurance, and professionalism make it to the final.

Going forward, Ukraine plans a permanent 800,000 strong Army, as US Security Guarantees have proved worthless.....

Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year.
Why did Putin not allow himself such brutal strikes on civilian infrastructure under Biden, whom Trump calls “weak,” but totally destroys peaceful cities and disregards the “strong Trump”?

The answer of course is obvious......

And for anyone who would like to help, Liberty Ukraine Foundation is running a fundraise for Engineering Equipment for Ukraine

This fundraiser is not about headlines. It is about machines that quietly decide whether Ukrainian defenders live or die.
Engineering equipment is what allows units to:
  • build and reinforce defensive positions
  • repair roads under fire
  • extract damaged vehicles
  • clear debris after strikes
  • move faster, safer, and smarter on the frontline
Without this equipment, everything slows down. And on the frontline, slow costs lives.

Liberty Ukraine Foundation is raising $120,000 to procure critical engineering equipment for Ukrainian units currently operating in the most demanding conditions. This is not theoretical support. These are real machines requested directly by units we work with.
Every dollar goes into impact. No layers. No delays.

If you have ever asked how to support Ukraine in a way that actually changes outcomes - this is it.
Help us reach $120,000.

And yes, I do put my money where my mouth is......
