I disappear
ALL the time. I can't stomach the *MY BDSM is better than YOURS* that seems to be EVERYWHERE. I am sick of most people and their whiny little ways, their back stabbing bitch fests and their holier than thou attitudes.
When I first discovered LIT years ago, the BDSM forums were my home. I never posted anywhere else because the sense of community I received here was so damned awesome. The years rolled by and my interest waned a bit...but I still came here because I felt welcomed.
In the past 2 years I have seen many changes and, to be honest, they weren't very good ones. I no longer feel as if this is home but I come by for the people that make this place enjoyable (and the list gets smaller and smaller all the time).
So yeah, I get forum exhaustion but it is usually this board that gives it to me and that sucks.
