How about some vintage Clapton and the song that made every parent cringe?

Cocaine

.

Some friends of mine had a yacht called Cockaigne. But after they found themselves the subject of a serious inspection by 'the rummage squad' at every port they visited, they changed the name. :)

'Lo Sugar :)

I don't know why that made me think of Rex Whistler. I have always wanted to go and dine in the Tate Restaurant with his mural.

Hello Honey :)

Do it. The last time I was there the food was pretty good and the wine list was even better.

I will! but I will go when I don't have Piglet whining along with me :) Last time I took her to a special meal out for high tea, she was very unappreciative and I couldn't drink champagne in case my supermom powers of supervision were affected and I dropped her under the train on the way back :D

(To be fair, it was a high tea designed for adult palates, not for piggly-wiggles.)

Ah, yes. I took an elderly friend (ie more elderly than I) for high tea in honour of her birthday, and she brought along her grand-daughter. It was not a happy event. :(

Every time I see the words "high tea" I get this visual and assume the teapot is actually nothing more than a bong.

.

For real low-down on the afternoon tea thing, see HERE.

PS. What is a 'Bong' ?
We have doorbells that go "Bing Bong" but I guess that ain't it.

A bong is what is often used to partake of marijuana when partying with multiple friends. They can be quite simple or very elaborate.

Bong a gong. Well that brought back memories of the infamous "talent" show that ran during the late 1970's and most of the 1980's. You pretty much needed to hit ON a bong before watching it. ;)

Enjoy some Chuck Barris and The Gong Show

:D

Bang a Gong - Get It On (T. Rex 1971)

The good thing about the '70s: quite a few people can remember them. The '60s ... not so much. What was that strange smell in the air? :)

Hey! I spent the 60s in Greenwich Village, and I can remember a lot of things. Well, the beginnings and ends of them anyway. The middles are a problem, though.

Hello, Tio :)

I 'think' I can remember the whole thing :)

Wow! The whole thing??? How??? I'm mostly with things like the time a friend came back from Israel and wanted to invent a new ecumenical ritual. Asked me over since I was the only atheist he knew. He had a stone from each bank of the Jordan, and used them to grind 7 grams of hash from an Arab dealer into a half-gallon of Talmudic wine. I woke up behind the wheel of his VW with the sun shining over the dune we were stuck in at Montauk Point with no more than a vague recollection of wanting to drive to England. And that's just one of quite a few...

Hey, Tio, you've just reminded me of one of my dreams. Except, of course, I was already in England. You wanted to drive a VW across the Atlantic? You shouldn't have had that last glass of wine. :)

Must have been the wine...very heady, not like the hash...
