I had my introduction to international cuisine on a Dutch Liner travelling from the UK to Australia. The meals for the first few days were a lottery. The menus were in Dutch, or the Dutch equivalent of Restaurant French. That bore no resemblance to French Restaurant French or English Restaurant French. .....
