That's all you need to slither in.
I can't see the word slither without thinking of slizards - particularly skinks and geckos

I see or hear "Electric Avenue", & immediately think of "Electric Boogaloo". (Not even sure I'm spelling that right.)
Then again, a few hours ago, I was discussing a TV scene with someone that involved a character purchasing an electric car... Gotta wonder if there will be a time when young children don't know about other/older types than that.

The look on the kids' faces when I admit that I have an 'ordinary' mobile 'phone, (ie., one which makes calls, sends texts and not a lot else) is really rather something to see. But they little blighters do no know how to behave in company. I was at a small dinner the other night on one young madam kept looking at her mobile phone.
She wasn't making calls, you understand, just watching what was going on on something (faceache?, Instant Gramm or whatever.
If she'd have been one of mine, I'd have smashed her phone.
I was having lunch with some friends recently. The people at the next table appeared to be some sort of extended family, the younger members of which were all intensely studying their smartphones. Until, that is, the patriarch asked the waiter for an empty ice bucket. The bucket arrived and was duly placed in the middle of the table. And then, under the silent scrutiny of the patriarch, each of the 'phoners' placed their machines in the bucket. I got the impression that this was not the first time that Father had made a ruling.![]()
I think it's a nice thing if everyone can put their phones away but I also understand that some people find it a way to deal with social anxiety.
It would be great to ease off tne dependence of our technology. It is unreal now I can watch a table of 2 20-somethings having lunch together and NEVER speaking ONE word. Noses in phones and taking/sending selfies. Social dynamicz are sure changing.
I like cake.
Bagels and Cream Cheese

Locks... with no keys.
Doors with no locks...
I remember days when we didn't lock our doors as a matter of course. Damn, I'm old!
When I was young, we walked twenty miles in the snow to get to... somewhere...
