As Arthur awoke, for a split second everything was fine. His lover resting by him carrying their child, it was too perfect. He said good morning to her as well as they laid in bed. He wished he could prolong her with Prince Malagant, but he knew that it would have to happen sooner or later. "We should get ready" he said as he got up to get dressed as if here preparing for battle. "is everything prepared for today?"

Even though her words didn't give him and assurance, he nodded anyway as they went to the throne room. Arthur took his place as did many of his men as Scarlet stood there.

Before stood Prince Malagant, she eyed the man, she knew she had to be very careful.

"I only belong to one man Prince Malagant and it is not you" Scarlet said simply, looking up into his eyes she almost felt sorry for him. He of course was mad, and drew his sword. But her hands that were behind her back, showed with Arthur's sword in her hands. He went for her, even though she was pregnant she could still move, stepping out of the way she slashed his chest and he collapsed.

Arthur fought the urge to come to Scarlet's aid. He could see the insanity in the princes mind, filled with such anger and hatred, a thirst for power like none he had even seen. The conflicted had ended as soon as it had began as the prince fell to the floor, a large gash on his chest as he looked up at the ceiling. Arthur's men subduing the princes men while the guard looked over Malagant. Arthur went to Scarlet holding her close. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Scarlet just stood there, but when she felt Arthur's arms around her she smiled looking up at him. "I'm alright, I told you everything would be fine" She looked over seeing a bucket of water that the servant had left, she dipped the sword blade into it and the water ran off. She slipped his sword in his sheath and looked at him lovingly.

Her arms wrapped around him.

"I love you too" Arthur replied, giving Scarlet kiss after kiss as he held her close. The guard look at them for a moment before taking the prince and his men away. "So what do we do now?"

She smiled "Now we wait for our son to be born, to live life, can't stop living Arthur, Merlins most wise words"

Arthur smiled, "that was very... deep" he said as he leaned in to kiss Scarlet, the guards looking, while a few of the maidens swooned over Scarlet and his affection. It was then that Arthur went down on one knee and presented Scarlet with a ring. "Scarlet, you have been my best friend for so long. Aside from Merlin, you were the only one who ever believed I was meant for something. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?"

She was taken back, she knew he would ask her hand and marriage. But she figured he would ask later on, but Scarlet didn't hesitate for a moment. She wanted to be his wife as much as he did.

No more words needed to be said. He kissed Scarlet passionately, wanting to life her up but with her so along in her pregnancy, he fought against the urge. It was all perfect in his mind, his lover know his betrothed, and their child to soon be on the way.

Scarlet held onto him and silently sighed, she was very content and happy to have this moment with him. As he kissed her, she could feel her heart beat almost flutter. Her hand resting on his cheek, she was very content and she smiled.

"You have surprised me, I didn't think you would ask me till I gave birth to our son, it was a wonderful surprise Arthur"

He kissed her neck lovingly as they held onto one another. The guard had left leaving them both alone, the warm sensation in his heart soothing him as they stood there in the middle of the throne room, "what should we do now?" he asked her, hoping she had some suggestions.

She was taken back for just a moment, but she was very content. Sighing softly she thought and just smiled at him. "Well why don't we go for a walk in the gardens?" Scarlet said happily. Taking his hand in her own.

"I wonder what people will say about me, because soon all of your kingdom will know, if they don't already"
