Sitting in the student union, Marissa opened her laptop and logged onto her school email and started reading her new mail. One email in particular caught her attention, it was about rushing for sororities. She scrolled through the email and read about the various houses that were accepting pledges this semester, and got to the general meeting information where anyone interested in pledging could go to learn more about different greek houses on campus.

She smiled, thinking that joining a sorority would be the perfect way to make friends as a freshman. She replied to the email and RSVP'd that she would be attending the information meeting that evening, and closed her laptop, walking quickly back to her dorm to get ready.

She walked into her room and said hello to her roommate, who had also RSVP'd to the event. The girls got their things and walked to the public showers together, both finding empty stalls and taking showers before wrapping pink towels about their young toned bodies and returning to their room. Both girls did their hair and makeup before walking together to the Union where the meeting was going to be held.

Stefanie was stressing over Rush. Even though she was president of the most popular sorority on campus, Chi Omega, this was her first year dealing with rush. She was a sophomore now and had been made president right after rush last year. She was excited, but nervous because Kappa Kappa Gamma and Alta Delta Chi were both rivalry sororities of Chi Omega at Berkeley.

Stefanie wanted to ensure that they got the best rushes this year, and that meant planning, work, booze, boys, and everything in between. She had already arranged 2 of the most popular frats to bring some of their boys along to every single rush function that would include guys. They were definitely covered. Stefanie's boyfriend was the president of Phi Gamma Delta, the second top fraternity at Berkeley. They didn't always mingle, though, as groups...due to problems in the past between the two.

But it was a new year, which meant new everything! Stefanie had even gotten a new hair style for the occasion! She smiled and closed her planner, setting it on her bed. She kissed her roommate Ella's cheek as she walked towards the bathroom. She and Ella shared one of the rooms in the top floor of the Sorority House. Ella was rush chair this year, which made everything super exciting! Ella was a junior, but they'd gotten along from day one.

After her shower, Stefanie got dressed and blow dried her hair, applying light make up and ran downstairs with only her phone and planner in her hands. "Ella, run!" There was no way she would be late to the meeting. She had to make sure she, Ella, and Vanessa, the VP of their sorority perked everyone's interest.

Marissa and her roommate Amanda got to the meeting and sat down near the front, chatting excitedly about what sororities they were considering rushing for. Of course both girls' first choice was Chi Omega.

The room fell to a hush as the presidents and rush chairs of all Berkeley's sororities took the floor, introducing themselves and what they stood for.

Stefanie and Ella told all of the girls about their sorority and the way that it worked, what they stood for, and all of the things that they would do throughout the year. They made sure to be detailed, but also speak in a way that would get and keep the girls' attention.

They sat down when their turn was over and giggled to themselves as the other sororities tried to top them. Everyone said the best went last, but in their case, they almost always went first, and were ALWAYS the best. She, Ella, and the rest of the girls in her sorority were sitting in the back. Marissa and Amanda looked at each other and smiled, listening especially carefully to the girls from Chi Omega. They both knew it was the most selective sorority on campus, and decided they both wanted to rush.

They weren't nearly as attentive to the other speeches, already having their hearts sent on the coveted Chi Omega.

After the presentations were finished, there was a social where pledges could meet members of the sororities and ask questions or just talk about their experiences.

Marissa and Amanda started walking around, talking to a few girls, their jaws nearly dropping as the president and rush chair of Chi Omega walked up to them, reintroducing themselves.

"Hi! I'm Stef." she introduced herself, taking their hand.

She went through the day, meeting lots of girls, and that night they all sat around talking about them. "I really liked that girl Marissa." she blurted out.

"Me too. And her friend." Ella added.

"Definitely." they were all sealing the envelopes to the party coming up Friday night. Julia took the invites from everyone to take them to the post office and Ella and Stefanie laid back on the couch.

"What's up with you and Chad?" Ella whispered,

"What do you mean?"

"You slapped him."

"I don't want to get in trouble! Duh." she winked, knowing she was anything but a good girl.

Marissa and Amanda stayed at the social a bit longer after they said goodbye to Stef and Emma, both to be polite and have backup options just in case.

After about an hour, the girls went back to their dorm, giggling and talking about the events of the evening, and how exciting it was that They had already been invited to Chi Omega's first party of the semester.

The girls changed out of their outfits and watched a movie before going to bed.

The girls got up early the next morning and went to their campus gym to get a cardio workout and a kick boxing class in before class, already making sure they were going to look extra sexy at the party.

They got up at eight A.M., heading to the gym together, meeting Ella and Grant there. The girls worked out for an hour then took their pilates group, all before their first class.

Marissa's back was to the entrance when she heard two familiar voices entering the shower. She didn't turn around right away to look, but she knew right away that it was Stef and Ella from Chi Omega.

"Hey guys" Amanda said slightly nervously. She was definitely the more shy of the two girls, so it surprised Marissa when she heard her greet the two girls.

Stef heard a voice greet she and Ella and she peeked past the half-wall divider in the shower, seeing Marissa and Amanda in the shower next to them. She turned the water a bit warmer, laughing as Ella shrieked.

She was standing in front of a mirror doing her makeup as the Stef and Ella got out of the shower.

Stefanie and Ella came back to the mirrors after getting dressed, smiling at the two girls. "So, we're really not supposed to ask, but have you thought any more about sororities? She walked to her locker and pulled out her jeans and top, getting dressed and double checking herself in the mirror, wanting to look just right for her first class of the day.

"That's great. I mean, everyone seems to think sororities are only about parties and boys...yeah, there are great boys and fucking awesome parties, but we really stand for something. I'm glad you girls recognize that."

Stefanie twirled around, wanting to ensure she looked great before going to class. She and Ella were going on a double date with Chad and Grant afterwards, because neither had any classes for the rest of the day, so the boys were taking them out to lunch.

She would have invited the girls, but she figured neither had boyfriends, and that could wait till they were in the sorority. She watched Marissa check herself out in the mirror, and decided there was something a little off about her, but she didn't know what-yet.

Marissa and Amanda smiled when they realized they might actually get in. All four girls finished getting ready before grabbing their things and leaving the rec complex.

Marissa spoke up and as they walked out the doors of the gym. "So we'll see you guys at bid night tonight" she said optimistically, pushing the strap of her tote back up her shoulder, glancing at her phone to see that class started soon.

"We'll see." she looked her up and down, trying to figure out what it was about her that didn't seem right. She wasn't trying too hard, as Stefanie had seen in many of the girls on campus, but there was something she just couldn't put on paper.

Stefanie and Ella left, heading towards their class, whispering to each other about the girls. Of course all the top sorority members had a say in who would get in, but Stefanie really made it official.

Marissa and Amanda said goodbye to the girls before parting ways to go to class. Marissa couldn't concentrate during her statistics class, so instead she made a list of things she needed to do before bid night later that day.

After class, she met up with Amanda and got coffee and a salad before going back to their room to get ready. They went to shower again and dried their hair in the bathroom before going to their room and doing their makeup and hair and deciding what to wear.

The girls left for the bid night ceremony, wearing their best dressed and sexiest heels, getting seats next to each other in the front, ready to hear their names get called.

Stefanie was dressed to impress, even though the current situation was every preppy girl at her school trying to impress her. She had gotten her hair done, bought new heels, and looked stunning.

When she saw Marissa walk in with her redheaded roommate, she grinned. She couldn't seem too excited in front of the other sisters though, or they might suspect there was some kind of "under the table" deal going on.

"I'm so glad you girls could make it. Please give your purses to Samantha. I promise they're safe! Grab a name tag from Susan, and make your way in." Right now she and Ella had to greet everyone, then they could go inside. The girls looked hot, but not too hot. They were going to do well here.

Stefanie blushed as Marissa stared at her dress, "Wow, that dress is something else." she walked on, but Stefanie still felt flustered.

Marissa and Amanda walked in and were greeted by Stephanie and Ella. They handed over their purses, trusting that they were safe, and wrote their names on the name tags on the table next to them.

The girls sat on a love seat near the front, chatting quietly with one another, waiting for more people to show up and for the meeting to start.

When all the girls had arrived and the doors were closed, the three girls went to the front of the room and introduced themselves.

"Can everyone stand up and one by one introduce yourself and tell us a few things about you?" Stefanie asked, "Why don't you start, Marissa?" Marissa was at the front, near the end, so it was a good of place as any to start.

Marissa and Amanda quieted down as Stefanie and Ella entered the room with another girl from the house to begin the meeting, asking everyone to start introducing themselves, starting with Marissa.

"Sure" she said standing up, smoothing her skirt. "I'm Marissa Smith, I'm a freshman double majoring in nursing and business. I'm from Northern California and My Grandma and my Aunt were both Chi Omegas, so I'm hoping to be able to carry on the tradition" she said optimistically before sitting down, listening to the rest of the introductions.

"Thanks Marissa. That's great." she turned to look at the rest of the girls, "Having family members who were Chi Omegas does help your change, it's not just a myth, girls." she smiled, and pointed to Amanda,

"Why don't you continue, Amanda? Let's keep it going in a circle."

After Amanda introduced herself, the girls quickly caught on, and in a few minutes they were all acquainted. For the next thirty minutes, Ella and Stefanie filled the girls in on what their sorority stood for, believed in, and took pride in. It was their way of solidifying the girls' interest.

"We have some faults, of course. You may or may not become bisexual with all these hot ladies around!" Stefanie said, in an obviously joking matter. Most of the girls giggled, but Ella just smiled coyly,

"It's true. It happened to me." she winked at Stefanie, who blushed bright red.

Marissa and Amanda sat quietly after their introductions, listening to Stefanie and Ella, giggling with the rest of the girls at Stefanie's joke, not hearing what Ella said because of the room full of giggling girls.

The girls were told they could now mix, and drinks and cookies were passed around. Stefanie and the rest of the girls in the sorority were supposed to then talk with any girls that they had interest in or didn't know well enough to decide on yet. Ella pushed Stefanie towards Marissa and Amanda, "You're not sure about her friend, right? Get to know her better. I'm gonna go talk to these freshman."

"Hey girls." she wondered if Marissa had noticed not everyone's purses were taken or not. "How are you enjoying the evening so far?"

Marissa and Amanda mingled together, talking to a couple girls that lived on their floor, breaking off from them when she saw Stefanie. Marissa noticed a few girls with their purses, but thought maybe they just walked in late and hurried to find a seat.

"Hey Stefanie" Marissa greated her. "Great so far. We met a couple other members and they seem really really nice" she gushed, taking a sip of her drink. "And the house is beautiful" she added, in awe of the view of the water out the floor to cieling windows in the great room.
