Yes! If you're at the foot of the bed looking at the headboard I always sleep on the left. Even on business trips. From college forward, that was my spot

Acid reflux occurs more often if a person sleeps on their right side, so if you have a partner and both like to spoon, little spoon goes on the right side of the bed and big spoon goes on the left side, otherwise you both risk getting stuck in an acid-inducing position all night!

I’m always on the right, with the exception I’m sleeping with my lady away from home, then I’m closest to the door

Okay - my husband tries this fuckery... he needs to be closest to the door...
We fail every time - we CANNOT sleep on the 'wrong' side of the bed to save our lives (potentially literally in that case)

That kinda makes sense too, depending on home security and layout. My former military ex-BF said he couldn’t sleep by the window, and that it was a survival thing, in case anyone broke in through the window…so I had to sleep on that side, in both apartments we had, for 2.5 years

He didn’t make a point of walking on the side closer to the street either. My grandmother would not have approved!

When I’m sleeping with a woman I like the left side. It’s because when I’m laying on my right side facing her, I can use my left hand to caress her and for some reason that just works for both of us better.

Is it weird that that’s the reason? That there’s actually a reason beyond “just because?”

My ex-wife, while very vanilla, liked to have sex in public places where there was a danger of being caught (though she would deny that was a kink, heh. Also like me to use my hand to cover her mouth when she came, but wouldn't call that a kink either. Kinks were for "weird people."). Anyway, the craziest was in the woods, about 50 feet from the weekly hike of the Portland Audubon Society bird watching club.

But… If you don’t sleep touching anyone, you can sleep on your left side no matter which side of the bed you’re on!

How are you judging left right? I don't feel like reading everything to see the perspective.

If standing on the foot of the bed looking at it as if you could jump in. I prefer the left, but I sleep on the right. Sometimes I sleep sideways across the middle. I'm all over the bed actually. I've had a CA King to myself for a very long time so I play musical spots
