If you have used Yahoo to chat with them, at all, go to the contact name / info bar. Start typing one single letter into the bar, from A to Z. It'll show you EVERYONE you've added onto Yahoo Messenger, or (I'm pretty sure) mailed out to through Yahoo.

If you haven't contacted this friend through Yahoo in any way, I'm not sure how to help you, unless you skyped with them. In which case, Skype's elaborate and odd history is your best bet. ;-;
