i just recently rewatched it...it is soooo fricken good...i just wish covid and the venom movies didnt keep tom hardy from making a season 2. i really hope they pick it back up, but its been a couple years already.

I was thinking Dune....

i had that thought too because of the spice and herbert was probably commenting on colonialism and capitalism...but the dutch east india company specifically made me think of that show...same period as pirates of the Caribbean but much darker and sexier.
