I'm bored.

WoW is FAR too laggy to play right now (and has been for three days).

I am not up to painting miniatures, though I really should.

And I don't really feel much like working on my LARP.

And don't have the mental wherewithal to pursue the rather excellent debates that have been going on in a couple of threads around here lately.

Ugh, I'm a bad gamer.

Maybe if you snorted some jalapeno juice?

Man... I thought I was able to put WoW down after Brewfest. Gah... now ya'll are making me wanna get *this* title too. *big fat raspberry in all your directions*

BBL.

Then there's Thanksgiving and then there's Christmas!

Do. Not. Want.

WoW is only a full time job if you let it be. I don't really sweat achievements all that much, and don't really care about fishing and cooking and the like. I'm there to have fun with viv and MIS and that's it. viv is more into the achievements and does occasionally get lost in them. Not my thing.

The only reason I'm even trying to dick around with the dailies on the halloween stuff is that they actually give exp, and it is the only exp I can safely get with all the frikken lag right now.

I like the achievements that give titles and pets and mounts, mostly.

But I also think some of them are just plain fun and it breaks up the monotony of just questing.

It's not a full time job, it's at this point, a quarter-time hobby. It's just that I spend a LOT of time online, what with my job being there.

So when I get bored I tend to find a new game. Then they come up with an expansion and it's "WHEEE!" again.

the Thanksgiving one gives you a pet turkey & the "Pilgrim" title.

now, after growing up on John Wayne movies, I MUST have that title!

B and i got tired of the whole guild raiding thing the other night and rolled new toons.

Just to add some more to this. Note: light guild drama to follow, not for the weak at heart.

It's not raiding that I'm sick of. It's my guild leader/'s. One is a dude, he plays a resto shaman, and he's very good at it. The other is his gf/wife, she plays a mage, and she's very very BAD at it.

When I say bad, I mean terribad, awful, horrendous, and pathetic in every aspect of the game, from her retardedly low dps, to her inability to avoid large puddles of fire on the floor, to taking direction from me while I lead the raid. Oh, and to top it off, she thinks she's a great player. Illusions of grandeur, and quality, abound. Not only this, but she also has a small following of cronies who are deeply loyal, and equally bad players.

So, Tuesday night I log on and I am invited to an Ulduar raid by these two and I find myself surrounded by bads. A hunter, in damn good gear, who can't dps and is clueless about 90% of the content in Ulduar, and a ret paladin who is the alt of a hunter who is a carbon copy of the one currently in the raid, this does not bode well. Pet was on her mage, hiding, and I had had enough.

Maybe I'm an arrogant ass, but I think very highly of myself as a tank, and a raid leader. I've been told by enough people that I'm a great tank that I've started to believe it myself. Not one raid where the female half of our gm duo was present was a success, not one. They have all ended in dismal failure, and I do not have to put up with this crap.

So, and this is embarrassing to admite, I chickened out and ninja Dc'd. Meaning that I quickly exited Ventrillo and then exited the game via Alt+F4. This was me running away from a very frustrating night of raiding, and these bads. It was cowardly of me, I know, but the only other alternative I could see, in my limited scope of imagination, was either playing sick, a less cowardly method but one that leaves me feeling... soiled, or making a big stink bomb out of the situation. I choose the lesser of 3 evils.

I have a human priest named HisPet. The /sit sold me on human female. Perfect submission pose. He rolled a human warrior named HerMaster. We had fun running to Goldshire and laughed our asses off when the horeseman one shotted us. There are still ways to make WoW fun. :cattail:

And it was fun! Some of the most fun I've had in this game in a while, while not raiding (to be honest, seeing the crazy cat lady get 1 shot the other night was fun as shit!). Now, pet and I both have some Heirloom items to distribute around to our alts, so part of the fun was seeing my little lvl 3 warrior 1 shot kobolds with his massive 2handed skull-headed axe of death. :D Being overpowered is a hell of an ego boost!

So yeah, the way it's looking, with the situation within the guild, most of my raiding for the near future will be PUG raids, which actually aren't all that bad. The situation is not nearly as grim as it may first appear to be. :) I've just decided to take a stand, and have some standards about the people I lead into a raid. NO MORE BADS.

/end mindless rant about raiding in WoW

Its okay I have 103 on my main atm

I love the pets. And some are just not going to change on some characters.

My Engineer will always summon her mechanical squirrel. The druid will always summon her cockatiel (a gift from my husband)

I have pets on hotkeys for each character. Stat food, pet, any buff potions or scrolls...good to go.

i love summoning my tree frog when i am healing a raid on my druid. Just seems natural. I also have every color moth and some birds that go well with my treeform.

The only pets I have on my paladin are those that came as quest rewards and the like. I've summoned one exactly once, and that was the Wolpertinger. I wanted to get a closer look at the freaky thing.

That said, oftentimes I will flat refuse to hunt unless viv has Deathtongue out. That treefrog is just a good omen for us. He's happy killy mojo.

Last night i got the 3 wand charges along with the hallowed helm i needed to finally earn my "the Hallowed" title. Now i have 2 of the meta achievements outta the way for the "What a long, strange trip it's been" achievement for my violet proto-drake.

Next holiday achievements to work on are the Winterveil achievements. At least now, i have a little break from having to bust my butt making sure i get the right achievements done.

My mouth hurts too much to game. Dental surgery and Lortab puts a damper on my desire to fiddle with the computer.

I have a new extra nerdy response to inexplicable tells.

I don't know most of the abbreviations people use for dungeons.

Someone asked me "HH"? Today and I'm thinking...Honor Hold? Headless Horseman? What?

But I just say in return "Shaka, when the walls fell."

Who says sci fi and fantasy can't cross over.

I loved that episode. One of the BEST imo.

Me too! Husband and I say that to each other and to the kids. "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra!"

I'll also throw in some original Trek "Nonsequitur. Your facts are uncoordinated."

Lol nice.

My mage is officially Harlequin the Hallowed now
*happysparklyballdance*

I heard people talking about it. I hate Warcraft's AH and I very rarely use it, so I wasn't affected.

Yeah one of the guys in the guild was complaining.

He said blizzard gave their typical "we're investigating the issue" line.

He said "What the fuck is there to investigate? My Auctions went POOF fuckers!"

LOL
