Husband just built me a new computer. 90 gig of space. 90 GIG!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Very nice, I think we will just need to do some research and see what we can do to up grade, I don't understand how to completely build one but I am sure I will by the time we are done with both of ours. No way can we afford Alienware again :(

I'm incredibly spoiled. I know this.

Son got my old hand me down and he's running around on Warcraft. Level 30 since his birthday on the 20th. Yaaaay!

AHH! Not a murloc plush!!! You'll give that poor child nightmares. LOL... You should see me sitting on my couch doing my best murloc impersonation. What is it about those awful things that makes me need to imitate them? Imagining my gnome mage communing with murlocs. Who could resist?
I was at a grad party last night and someone mentioned Dragon Age... I don't know what happened for the rest of the party cause that's what I was talking about :D

God I love murlocs. Theyre annoying little buggers but asking people to imitate them is a great nerdy drunken party game LOL

They are almost...ALMOST as good as the original trees in Dark Age of Camelot...

Their death sound is indescribable. But I'll try...*clears throat* Blahbleeblahblahbleeblahblah beeblah...*choke to death which sounds like a hiccup as well*

like the sound in the last few seconds of this?

Hah! No, that's the new trees. None of the old, old sounds, which I can't find. But where hilarious.

That's a Lurikeen attempting PVP on a Saracen and a Briton from another realm. The "Huuuh!' sound is the noise that happens when Lurikeens get hit. That's HIS dying sound.

Ah, PVP and PVE at the same time. Ugly Camelot death. So much fun. That's what happens when you try to start shit from stealth in the forest.

So how is everyone's gaming addiction coming along? I am still very addicted to my new Zelda but the puzzles are too easy :( I cannot wait for a new Professor Layton game :)

After shooting our trip up to 70, we've stalled pretty badly and have only dinged once in probably two months. We can't get time to play ont he weekdays due to MIS' work, and weekends are often busy as well. We're probably averaging a few hours played each week.

Gonna let my Geek Flag fly here.

I'm an avid WoW player, 4 80's, all Horde. The new LFG system is AWESOME.

I've also been the DM for a group of friends since the beginning of 3rd ed. They never get higher than level 5, though.

I do have a pretty funny story about DM'ing, reminiscent of one of the first posts here.

A new player showed up at the weekly game, brought by one of the regulars. I told him to build a 4th level character and that I would get him into the group by some DM magic. He proceeds to tell me that he makes "unkillable" characters, and that WotC has based some of the characters in their books on his PC's. I politely inform him that there's no such thing as an unkillable character, especially since the DM (me) is a devious bastard.

He continues to brag about his prowess while taking 2 HOURS (!!!) to make a level 4 Barbarian. The whole time, he looks for the most overpowered feats and items he can get his hands on. I'm fed up by this point, so I tell him and one regular that they are going to do a side mission. They end up in a room with 3 Grimlocks, one of whom can cast Darkness. I killed the bastard with 3 level one npc's.

I then proceeded to tell him to roll another character and stop being an ass about it.

Welcome!

I'm trying to play my way through Neverwinter Nights...

I can tell ya I don't like being diseased so far. Nope. Not at all.

OooOOoo. I did not realize such a thread here existed.

So Eldest Son brings home a project. He has to make a diorama involving Native Americans from the local region. He goes through all this rigamarole trying to figure out how he wants to do it. I tell him to leave the people to me. So he goes and draws his background, draws some animals, and then asks me for the Indians. I take him down to the garage where my miniatures are, and pull out a tray with 40-odd 25mm RevWar period Native Americans (unpainted).

He thinks this is cool.

I let him choose three that he likes, and then he asks if I'm gonna paint them. "Nope," I say, "You are."

He thinks this is really cool.

So I clean them and prime them, and let them dry thoroughly overnight. The next day, he is pestering me as soon as I get home to see if they're dry. They are, of course, so I set up a little painting station by my desk, give him a brush, and choose some colours for him. He sits there painting for a while, getting my feedback, asking questions.

He thinks this is cool, and that I'm cool for helping him.

My son painted his first miniatures tonight (with a little help from me), and he had fun doing it.

I have no words to describe how cool _I_ think this is.

Yaaay! Painting warm fuzzies. I'm awful at painting, but my daughter and son and I had some fun painting Warhammer figurines. Although I don't think the marines were supposed to be in clown makeup.

I recently received the soundtrack for Mass Effect 1. Talk about atmospheric, the composer is certainly a magician. I am considering buying Mass Effect 2 based on the merits of its muscical score :)

Maybe because of spaceships too
