Ok, ill report in with geek news.

Someone I hardly know has invited me to a draft of M:tG (everyone paid for by them) for their birthday. I got a text, and I'd only talked to the guy once or twice. I know he's silly rich (inhereited), but im uncertain whether I want to accept. Also in Mtg, i wrecked someone playing EDH... I had a creature out that gives me anything an opponent sacrifices. He decided it would be a good idea for both of us to sacrifice our whole boards (but keep 3 permanents each). The look on his face when he realised what he had done was priceless ^.^

I bought SC2 on a whim, and now I know my PC is outdated. I guess my 4 year old NVIDEA 8600 is no longer up to scratch. Fuck. On the upside, time for new graphics card and a little bit more RAM

My WoW character approaches 100 mounts. Fuck yeah! My chessex dice arrived.

Upgrade "died to the lich king" to "did pretty well against the lich, and still died".

While Sindi ate our collective lunches last week, we dropped her on the third try this week, and did so with 8/10 standing. It gave us a lot of time to batter ourselves against the lich king, and I gotta say that our crew did really well. Each try was better than the one previous, and they adapted to changes in strat right away. Good stuff.

Though, damn, off-tanking in the lich king fight is a frikken bear. Adds all over the place, and juggling that stupid necrotic plague as well. Lotsa fun.

Honestly, I enjoy it. ICC is fun. The sindi fight is like a bollywood dance number, and the lich king is just flat complicated. I like the challenge.

And it helps that our progression raid has almost gotten to the point where we can clear to the lich king in one night when we're working right. Last week was one-shot after one-shot all the way to sindi. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for enough attempts on her. I'm waiting for the point where we can one-shot sindi.

We're still working on Blood Counsel, only 1 try so far, but we got the Plague Quarter a couple weeks ago. We raid with IRL friends and it's hard to get everyone organized with work/kids and all that. Plus SCII decimated our group so other than weekly raid hardly anyone is on. I'm anxiously awaiting Cataclysm though.

The three prince fight is a pain. Even with as solid a group as we've got right now that fight teeters on the edge. The mechanic for the shadow prince tank is so wacky that it's all too easy to lose him.

Plague took us so long that we didn't get to Blood wing at all on the first night this week. So we bounced that to the second day. Raid comp changed (happily) and we had a ferocious amount of DPS compared to the previous run, and much better healers. Know what though? We still wiped twice to the stupid blood princes. After that, however, it was one-shots all the way to the Lich King. Yeah, we one-shotted Sindi. I'm really proud of our crew

Then, well, Mr Lich King stomped our collective shit in solidly for the rest of the damned night...
