GEN X UNITE!

I'm not technically Gen X, but I'm exactly on the border between Gen X and Millennial.
Or, as the video I saw on YouTube described us, Xennials.
It was an oddly spot on video for people of that border territory.

Anyway, my brain has always been more Gen X leaning.
Heck, when I was younger I honestly thought Millennials were younger than I am.
lol, I was probably in my late-20s before I realized I wasn't technically Gen X.
Still, old enough to know what latchkey kids were.
Still drank from the hose.
Loved Kool-Aid.
Our tv had bunny ears, and we gamed on an Atari 2600.
Was alive to see the Simpsons be a new thing
Was alive for Challenger and the fall of the Berlin Wall (as in the OP)
Oregon Trail and Carmen Sandiego were the two computer games in school.
Metal slides as kids.
The only time an alarm went off in school was when there was a fire drill.
Terrorism didn't exist (in the United States).
TVs were square.
Only banks and scientists had computers.
Our first modem was a dial-up that only had 2400 bps.
Most the internet were white background with a lot of text and very few pictures.
Lost connection whenever someone needed to use the house phone AND also remember what a phonebook is.
I may not technically be Gen X, but I have most the Gen X credentials. :p

City Gardens and CBs hardcore matinees.

Hardcore and punk rock was what we had instead of happy childhoods.

A friend of mine sent me this picture that was on Facebook, and that was me.

It was the first time Rollins played without black flag. I think it was Chris Haskett on guitar.

Prolly 86, I’m thinking.

My man, Rollins!

I was already out of college when it came out, young Padawan, but I do like Rockapella.
Yeah, '76, I'm a young X-er.
The reference makes me think of the show, :)love: Rockapella!) but I really meant the computer game. I played it in school along side Oregon Trail and a text-based stock market history game that I've never been able to find the name for.

You played computer games at school?!!! What in the Commodore 64 is that blasphemy?!! In the 80s we were too busy hoping the WANG minicomputers lab would ignite the entire school.

lol From middle-school on my schools had IBM (clone) labs. Middle school had those three games on it, so I played most any chance I got. I was a nerd. Think Dustin from Stranger Things, with teeth.
