George Santos

That he wore a dress doesn't matter at all. This is Lit. Half the site is about that. What matters is that he lied about just about everything, including that until the pictures came out. It also matters that the GOP is actively making laws to prohibit such behavior in many places.

What laws to prohibit what behavior?

I would start with the fact that it's irrelevant to anything in official Washington, and I might also point to it as a boy-who-cried-wolf situation...even if there does turn out to be any legitimate cause for concern, whose fault is it really that people aren't listening to the likes of you at this point?
Not if it proves illegal business dealings and collusion with our nation's enemy.

SO WHAT if he's a drag queen? Isn't that what the Left likes and promotes? SO WHAT if he lied? The voters elected him in a "free and fair" election, isn't that what the Left likes and promotes?
Hell, the Dems put one in charge of nuclear waste and another in charge of health. What the fuck do they have to bitch about. :D

^^^
The epitome of ignorance of the world around him.
Really? And you, who have been here since 2017 and who has made over 47,000 posts claims to not know who "AJ" is?.......Shut the Fuck Up.....lmfao
I Don't know who AJ is.
Being here since 2017, posts 47000+ times including posts with AJ posting in them, is the epitome of IGNORANCE....

Thanks for the laugh you fucking ignorant idiot.....*chuckles*

I am starting to think that George Santos suffers from Multiple Personality Disorder.

Arpy. You have posted just short of a dozen times in the last 48 hours or so, trying to blame the electors for Santos rather than the GOP which approved and financed his candidacy. Your obvious annoyance and frustration is more than enough encouragement to ensure that your opponents will continue to pile it on and blame the GOP for their incompetent vetting and financing of this person.

Personally I see nothing particularly surprising in the GOP advocating for a lying, dog killing fraudster, who dresses in ladies clothing, and seems of distinctly uncertain Gender. What are his/her preferred pro-nouns?

This ain't gunna let up Arpy.:D

No it isn't.

The guy's a proven liar. Yet all you want to do is somehow make what he said and did into something you can criticize on the basis that he's an R.

He's not a typical R, and the R's don't really want anything to do with him, other than the fact that their hands are tied because he was VOTED INTO OFFICE by his constituents and they can't stop him from being a member of Congress.

So what this really is, is you fuckwits thinking you've got some kind of political hook you can crow over.

Except it isn't working out that way because no one gives a shit about this guy.
Yes, it is. It's all about the hypocrisy with you lot, like voting against women's healthcare when you send your daughter for an abortion after impregnating her.

So you're saying that nobody voted for the stupid git?

The RNC does not have ANY say in who runs for public office as a Republican. To do so would be ILLEGAL. Which for some reason you're ok with when it comes to elections. Especially when it benefits your team.

That no one bothered to investigate this asshole prior to his winning the election doesn't mean that the VOTERS didn't vote for him. Maybe they knew about all of this crap and still wanted the lying scumbag as their congressman, you don't know. And since the voters DID vote for him, and he WON, then he is ENTITLED to be seated in Congress. You don't get to say otherwise. Neither do the courts because they cannot overturn the certified results of an election.

That's the law. Suck it up and deal with the fact that YOUR SIDE fucked up and didn't investigate him when they had the chance. If there's any blame to be had here, it's on your side of the aisle.

As for me, I'm not involved except to say he was LEGALLY ELECTED and if you don't like it, tough shit. It ain't my problem and I wasn't part of how it went down.

odd choice(?) gop-er to head ethics committee before santos investigations

this guy is a big trumpy, voted to reject the electoral votes of Arizona and Penn., and was himself fined for ethics violations. He's been handed 26 ongoing cases but, as yet, hasn't announced which—if any—he'll continue with or drop.

hmmn

his sole saving grace seems to be he did vote to investigate the events of jan.6th at the time, which hurt his standing within his own party.

Wild New George Santos Claim Astonishes Rachel Maddow: 'Surreal Is 1 Word For It'

https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/ip3/www.huffpost.com.icoHuffPost|3 hours ago
MSNBC 's Rachel Maddow on Monday aired an exclusive video of serial liar Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) claiming to have been the subject of an assassination plot and the victim of a mugging on Fifth Avenue in New York.

republican senator john kennedy said santos reminds him of Glenn Close's character in Fatal Attraction after his continued, extensive serial lies. santos wasn't happy:
"I am saddened that a distinguished senator from the GOP, whom I've respected would use such derogatory language against me," Santos wrote. "Language like that is hurtful and divisive, and has no place in Congress."
he's missing the point that he has no place in Congress, particularly after saying he'd quit if a certain number of people called for his resignation... they have, but he's now swearing he must serve out his term 'as a voice for the people who elected him'.

donut, anyone?

In a tweet last week, Santos said the suggestion he was a drag performer was “categorically false.”

However, it appears Santos himself may have confirmed more than a decade ago that he performed in drag as a teenager in Brazil, Politico reported. According to a 2011 Wikipedia entry written by a user named Anthony Devolder ― one of Santos’ aliases ― Devolder started his “stage life at age 17 as [a] gay night club DRAG QUEEN.”

since campaigns are legally required to keep receipts for expenses $200+, santos' multiple $199.99 claims are under scrutiny:

Campaigns rack up millions of dollars in expenses and thousands of line items per campaign, but it is rare for them to notch even one $199 expense, according to a POLITICO review of campaign finance records. FEC data shows more than 90 percent of House and Senate campaign committees around the country did not report a single transaction valued between $199 and $199.99 during the 2022 election cycle.

Santos reported 40 of them. In fact, his campaign accounted for roughly half of all expenses by all campaigns that cost exactly $199.99 — a statistical improbability.

one of which was from an hotel whose rooms start at $600 per night.
