not to be a pessimist or anything, but don't forget all the heartache that comes with having one

i've lucked up w/ this one because for the most part he is so laid back. i don't have to worry about jealous tirades and accounting for every second of the day. also, he isn't very demanding. he does have his moments where i would just love to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle him, but for the most part, i would have to say this is the best relationship i have ever been in. strangest, but the best.

Need some help

I need some help from my Georgia freinds.

Will be heading to Savannah in a week and need some recommended places to take a customer out to eat.

Some place nice and relatively quite with good steaks/seafood and a well stocked bar.

I don't remember much about the steaks/seafood, but one really good place for breakfast/lunch/brunch kinda deal is Mrs. Wilks. It's been featured on tv, and books have been written about it, and the people there are very nice

The Old Pink House

Sapphire Grill (seating upstairs is much quieter than downstairs)

The 2 above are more romantic and higher scale. One that is kinda like an old piano bar is Suzabelles. I found it also in that citysearch.

I hear that Elizabeth on 37th (I think that is the right street # in the name) has excellent deserts and is nice, but I've never been there.

There are a few others that I have LOVED but I can't remember the names nor could I find them in any online locators.

Let me know if these aren't the types of restaurants you were looking for suggestions on and I'll see what else I can come up with.

How long are you going to be in Savannah and would you be able to spare an hour or so for lunch? It doesn't sound like you will be able to, but thought I'd ask just in case. *hugs* best of luck hon!

45 South is good, too, and in the back section of the Pirate's House if you're a history buff and are interested in the oldest still standing building in the state of Georgia. It's really cool and the food was actually worth the $50 a plate!

The Chart House on River Street is good and so is the Shrimp Factory on River Street. I've been to them both with Christmas parties over the last few years and I must say, very very nice.

We went to Loco's on Broughton for the hubby's Christmas Party this year, too, so if you're in more of a "bar and grill" mood, I highly recommend that one. Go sit in the loft upstairs and look down on Broughton. It's an amazing view.

Well I must say it was a good weekend even if I did work all of it. I did get a lot done on my laundry room. I hope everyone else had a nice one too.

DC, Man you have got to give ma a call when you get here. What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? I know of a few places myself. So how in the hell do you get from Texas to Savannah with a customer? Thats got to be a good story!! Let me know where you're staying.
