The real trick is to appear confident, have a sense of humour, but also humble as if you've been treated like a gorgeous person all your life but you barely have time to reflect on this. Therefore carry yourself as if you believe you are a minor God, but in conversation do not mention 'I believe I am a minor God', and listen to her, (and don't gaze at her breasts, gazing at the bottom is much more polite if gazing must be done.)
Girls don't necessarily go for muscles, some Women find them unattractive or neither here nor there, though they do like a man who appears aware (though not vain) of his appearance.

Also, hit the dancefloor when you can. Women don't mind guys who dance badly, they think it's cute they have the confidence to show how badly you can dance. Or at least I do.

I am a bit of a prude as far as one night stands are concerned. I think you should always look out for STD's and people who you clearly haven't had time to get to know, and who may turn out to be insane stalkers.

That being said, my best advice... Don't "try" - Women can smell desperation like B.O.

Lesser advice: Dress well, carry yourself with confidence, listen even when you have no interest (that is, APPEAR interested even in the most mundane of bullshit) and, most importantly be yourself.

In closing, don't be afraid of what you might "think" are hot women. Most women have no idea they are hot and even if they do, so many guys are intimidated by their looks that they never get approached. After you approach them, you'll find what boring schleps they are anyway, so get in your night of disappointing sex, then never call. On to the next!

Genuinely listen to what she has to say.

And stop TRYING to 'seal the deal'... The more you TRY to get a woman that you just met into bed, the less likely that it's going to happen.

I've found in the past that I've had much more success in having a woman willing to take me to her bed after just talking to her like a human being (with absolutely NO intent of 'bedding' her) for an hour or two... Hell, there's even been a couple that took me home with them after only about a half an hour of conversation...
