Yeah, I dislike the Dolphins football team for two reasons: they kept my Chicago Bears from going undefeated in 1985 and they have a former Bear head coach as their coach. That last one is actually a reason to be sympathetic with them, but what the hell.

Grew up in Milwaukee, yeah yea, I know cheeseheads and FIBS don't always get along, but hey, I'm one of the few that doesn't mind either....spent a few years workin in Chicago after school, before I moved to the mountains. Will ALWAYS be a Packers fan, but, a few years in Chicago made me soft on the Bears, as long as they're not playin' the Pack, I root for them too.
As for the dolphin's coach...hmm...I don't know if it makes me sympathetic to them or hate them more for stealin' a great NFC coach. Oh well....what do you think about the whole playin' in Champaign fiasco for next season? Funny thing is, the football stadium at Champaign probably has more seats than Soldier did! That's one thing I don't get...college football, there's like a zillion more teams, a zillion more stadiums, and the stadiums are still bigger than the pro ones. Go figure! THink the new stadium will actually get done on time? Be the first time anything in Chicago got done on time I think.

Matt - you and I seem to have quite a bit in common. I'm originally a cheesehead too... and thus a life-long Packer fan.
As for college stadiums, I think part of the reason they tend to be bigger is that you automatically are going to have a good base of fans in the students at MOST schools. If you can sell season tickets to 40,000 students every year, then you CAN build a nice sized stadium.

Yeah, I see the point there, and I also understand that most big schools, have at least another 20,000 in alumni tickets every year, but christ, most college stadiums are pushing 100,000 seats, and pros only have 40,000 to 70,000. Unless you count the colisseum which was built for the olympics anyway.

Hi Matt,
I am probably one of the rare Chicago area people who do not hate the Packers, unless they are playing the Bears. I grew to like the Pack a few years ago when I had Levins, Brooks, Freeman, and Favre in a fantasy football league. Now it is the Rams that I kind of root for, for the same reasons. I wish the Bears would get someone with a brain to run the offense and call plays, their five yard passes kill me.
As far as them playing in Champaign I think it will be very strange. It might be a road game like setting in many ways, I think that stadium still has turf. I also saw their schedule and they play virtually all playoff teams next year, so we could suck.
I doubt the stadium will get done on time because they are still fighting over it as it is being built. I have never seen that before.
I have been to Milwaukee a few times for summerfest, which is always a blast. I can never get over how clean that city is compared to Chicago!
