what a day...
got my grades, didn't do as well as i wanted... parents are pissed...
bad hair cut
bad day at work
migraine from hell
best friend left to go back to school today

fuck fuck fuck :( i think i'm going to go cry.

You need somene to hold you in their arms to let you know you'll be alright

*Grabs sexielexie and hugs her tight*

Come here, sweetie.

Come a little closer.

There. Now rest your head on my shoulder while I rub your temples.

Go ahead and cry it all out. Things will get better.

There. There.

*hugs Lexie close*

Hey kiddo. Best thing to do on a day like that is to remember that tomorrow will come. Hair grows out, migraines end, new semesters start, friends come back. I hate days like the one you described. I feel over run and incompetent. I feel like i can do nothing right, but worse I know I did nothing wrong.

I am a student and a teacher. Grades do not reflect effort and commitment. Parents always worry. I now I am a parent. I am sure I always will. Probably be a pain in the ass when the time comes.

If I had had your day I would soak in a tub, play some music I liked and sip some wine. Well not with a migraine. Find something to do that you love to do tomorrow and go do it. Have a blast and put a few hours of fun between you and today.

Smile.

Enjoy this while you can. Problems intensify when you reach the 30 somethings.

Here..

take some of my chocolates. My own personal stash of Sees.

Guaranteed mood enhancer:)

I told you not to cut your hair, Lexie. ;)

I'm sorry you've had such a hard day, babe. A woman with your intelligence, sensitivity and wit will pull through. I'm sure of it.

sorry to hear about your bad day and the migraine. *ouch* Have you got a bath at your place? A nice bubble bath and some lavender to refresh, relax and hopefully ease your migraine. :)

Did you see i found a link for your insomnia thread? I hope that you can find the kavakava through that link.

I knew the hair cut was going to be a bad idea.

Sorry your day sucked.

I agree with Juicy, chocolate. Lots of chocolate. And a soft teddy bear. You do have a soft teddy bear I hope? If not let me know and I will see what I can do about that.

:(

i'm really not that broken up about my hair, it's just another thing to add to the whole mess. i'm sure that once i wash out the twenty gallons of crap the woman put in it i will feel better about it. i didn't do anything extreme though, i played it safe. or so i thought. just about an inch and a half off the bottom to get rid of the nasty ends and what was supposed to be a rich red-brown color that is very close to natural for me.

i'm a lot more upset about the grades, and even more so about my parents' reaction. they aren't paying one red cent for me to go to this school, they have no right to get so pissed.

*sigh*

i passed out for a few hours but insomnia strikes, as usual. i appreciate everyone's kind words. sorry i've been whining so much lately.

When are we going to get a new AV? I want to see what the 'new do' looks like.

They are your parents and they love you. They probably aren't really pissed. I am sure they just want you to do better. What year are you in?

What better place to whine than here? We understand. Rant, rave, whine, gloat, let it all hang out. Make yourself feel better. Today is Saturday, do something fun. Go someplace. Get out of the dorm, or where every you are staying. Take care of yourself before this becomes something more serious.

:)

*cough* 2:26 am. I am writing so haven't taken my kavakava yet. See my post up yonder in this thread. Hoping i have found a link for you.
Good luck with your parents.
You haven't been whining at all.
Explain to your parents the insomnia thing.
I hope they will love and understand what is going on. :) Sleep deprivation is a cruel thing and can happen to anyone of us. Part of being a parent is accepting the unexpected.
I know I would understand. As for the unexpected? *sigh* my oldest son reminded me today that in 1 year and 9 months he can go for the first part of his license.

Hang in, honey. :)

Parent's do bitch....that's much of their job once you get to be an adult. Mine do it all the time. They're professionals. If there were a league, they'd be the champions. Of course they love me, but...well...they bitch.

As for the hair, the color and length aren't nearly as important as how much is left for a guy to tangle his fingers in, right? ;)

And the insomnia? Yeah..I get it a lot. I find that when I get desperate, I take a dose of NyQuil and read something really tedious. That always knocks me out. It's not the ideal solution, but it does put me down and out.

But you always knows you have hugs and more from me. :D

(((Hugs)))

The Last Word?

Girl,
Be glad you have parents that do care, even though they may be pains in the asses. *smile* I have a girl in my building that keeps cutting herself and her doctors are not even sure THEY can help her. About the hair? We are usually harder on ourselves than anyone else . . . therefore is probably is fine to everybody but you. Cheer up and get out and exercise. Have a great day!
