So for the fourth time his family had uprooted itself and moved to a new city, new state, hell even a new fucking time zone. Jack Carter was eighteen and had lived in more states than most people saw by the time they were eighteen. His father worked construction and made a healthy living at it. But part of the job required them to go where the work was. So every five or six years they moved to a new place with promising construction projects.
Jack found that it sucked trying to make friends in a new place all the goddamn time, only to have turn around and just leave them. So he stopped trying, and instead became rather introverted in the sense of his choice of activities. He had convinced his parents to buy him a very powerful computer and he found joy in playing online games. He made friend in games like Call of Duty, and World of WArcraft. The best part about these online friends was that no matter how many times he moved or even where he moved too, they didn't care. He could hang with them in a game no matter where he was.
The new house was in Subberbia, Michigan. Literally. The house was a four bedroom two story house that looked like every other house on the block, however their street was a culdisac. Jack looked around as he carried boxes into the house. Not a bad place to live really, but he wasn't going to get attached to it.
She came out onto her lawn at the next house to watch him with a curious look. Jack looked at her and instantly found her to be insanely hot. Which meant two things, first off she was out of his league on so many levels, and secondly she would probably make fun of him a lot. Typically popular cheerleading girl, though she wore a white tank top and shorts so Jack had no proof she was a cheerleader.
She waved at him and Jack smiled back politely as his arms were full carrying a box. Then he blushed and walked into his house quickly.
