John Robinson looked at the wedding invitation one more time.

Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Quincy cordially invites you to the wedding of their daughter
Angela Sue Quincy
To
Robert Alan Jones

The rest of the invitation was a blur as John thought about attending his friend's wedding. He and Robert became friends at the gym, playing early morning basketball before they both headed to the office for the day. Robert is an engineer and John an investment advisor. After a few months of playing ball together, Robert came to John for some financial advice. John made a few smart investments for Robert and when Robert saw how much his portfolio grew, John became his personal advisor.

Now staring into his full-length mirror in his bedroom, he stared at his 29-year-old, 5'10" body that was still in good shape. His stomach was tight but not the six pack you see in all the commercials on social media. His thighs were large and the appendage that hung between them was enough of a size to satisfy the women he had dated.

He ran his hand through his light blonde hair and then looked at his muscular chest that he kept in shape by lifting weights and playing basketball with friends.

The small group of men got together regularly for cards and other entertainment. John was the only one in the group without a steady girlfriend. The men usually gave John grief about not having a regular girlfriend and tried to fix him up with women but he always found he hadn't yet found the right one.

John knew about the wedding for months, tacking the invitation onto his refrigerator. But now that the day was approaching in a few weeks, he knew he had to respond to the invitation. He had broken up with his latest girlfriend two weeks ago and didn't have a steady girlfriend to take to the wedding. Looking at the invitation, he whispered, 'I'll just have to attend the wedding alone.' He knew he was going to get a lot of teasing from his friends as to why he was all alone at the wedding. But he couldn't skip the wedding. That would not be good for his friendship. Sighing, he indicated on the RSVP card that he was attending alone.

John looked away from the mirror, seeing his two dark suits laying on the bed. He shook his head, knowing he had another problem besides not having a girlfriend. The suits were old and since he got his investment business started, he found he didn't need suits for everyday work. The suits laying on the bed were only worn in the past at funerals. Those were not appropriate to wear to a wedding which is supposed to be a gala event.

He thought of going to a men's store but figured why pay high prices for a suit he probably would wear once. John remembered seeing some clothing at the Quality Thrift Shop when he visited looking for some photographic equipment. Did they have suits? It wouldn't hurt to have a look at what the store might offer and besides, he thought, I'm most likely only going to wear it once.

At the store he looked at some photographic equipment before heading to the clothing section. The clerks were busy with other customers as he started looking at different styles of suits. In a nearby aisle, a woman caught his eye. She was looking at dresses and seemed to be deep in thought as she picked up one, surveyed it, put it back on the rack, and then picked up another dress to look at.

At first, John ignored the young woman, trying desperately to decide on what suit to purchase. But there was something about the woman that kept attracting is attention. She was shorter than him with a very sexy hour glass figure and a very healthy chest that made the tank top she was weaving look too small.

Again, he tried to ignore her but when he stepped to the other side of the aisle, she came into full view. Besides her chest being a focal point on her upper body, her full round ass cheeks, complimented her bottom part of her body. And in between, her warm bronze tummy, is exposed between her very tight-fitting jeans and tank top. It looked to John that she must have struggled to get into the tight jeans but he couldn't deny, she was a beautiful woman.

He turned his attention to his suit selection when an idea popped into his head. Why not get her advice. He held two suits and began walking toward the woman, looking at her dark hair done up in a ponytail. Her hair swung freely when she moved her head and then she turned toward him when he approached her.

"I'm sorry miss to disturb you but I was wondering if you could help me. I need to buy a suit for an event and I can't seem to make up my mind." He held up the two suits, one a charcoal grey and the other light blue. "Can you give me your advice on what you think would look good on me."

Angela's wedding was the week after next, and Christina still hadn't got a dress. Part of it was money. She was still in college and watching her debt climb at a terrifying rate. Part of it was her dread of the event itself. Of course she was happy for Angela. She seemed to really be in love with this Robert guy. The trouble was that her whole family would be there, and the first thing everyone would ask her when they saw her is "When are we going to celebrate your wedding?"

Christina had broken up with her latest boyfriend, who was banging a stripper on the side. She still had a year of college left, and couldn't see what the big rush was. Even Angela was in her late twenties, but Angela was slender and blonde. She seemed to draw men who thought about things like the future, family, commitment. Christina seemed to draw men who pretty much only thought about their dicks. She had her grandmother's dark Mediterranean complexion, and an hourglass figure that was all boobs and booty.

Which was the other reason she had been procrastinating about buying the dress. She had a plus size hips and bust, and a petite waist. She bought separates, but Angela had specifically asked that every woman in the family wear a dress. And that meant either something with enough stretch to function as a sausage casing, or buying a plus size and having it altered. Which brought it back to the money problem. Which is why she was shopping at Quality, two weeks before the big day.

She had found a cute dress that would fit her perfectly, except it was white, and she couldn't wear white to her cousin's wedding. Then there was the pink a-line that would probably fit, but there would be at least a couple snide comments about her cleavage.

Then someone was talking to her. She looked up and saw a tall blonde guy with a couple of suits. He was cute, and she felt herself smiling at him, and subtly arching her back without really thinking.

"It depends on the event, I guess," she said, looking at the suits. "The grey looks serious. Like, going to be in a room with lawyers type serious. The blue does nice things for your eyes. But it's probably too light to wear after maybe September?"

John watched the young lady eyeing the two suits he held. As she thought about the colors, he checked out her wedding finger. There was no evidence of a ring or an impression in her skin where a ring might have been in the past. He assumed she was single but with her gorgeous looks and knock out body, he was sure she had a boyfriend.

He listened to her talk about the color being dependant on the type of event. He looked at the grey suit and chuckled, "I'm definitely not planning on being in a room full of attorneys." He saw her soft smile as he told her, "As for wearing this after September .... well that's probably not going to happen. I only need this for a wedding I'm invited to and will probably only wear it one time."

John saw her eyes open a little wider when he mentioned wedding but she didn't ask which wedding he was attending. "So blue it is. Thank you ma'am for the input," John said and started to turn away to put the grey suit back on the rack.

But before he took a few steps, he turned to look at her, admiring her bronze skin. She definitely looked like she would have someone waiting for her when she left the shop. John looked at the pink a-line dress she was holding on her arm. "Hold your dress against you and let me see how it looks."

When she held it up for his inspection, he smiled seeing the contrast of the pink against her bronze color skin. "Yep just as I thought. The color matches your skin tone and I think it would look great on you." He didn't mention that he thought the dress would definitely show off her well developed breasts and most likely give onlookers a good view of her cleavage.

Seeing her smile and thinking she was going to laugh at him, John looked at his watch and smiled before she could speak. "Hey, thanks again for the advice. I have to get going to a meeting at the restaurant down the street. I hope you purchase the dress. I think it'll look great on you."

She watched him leave, and looked at the pink dress again. She held it up in front of the mirror. It was cute. And it was a good color for her. And no matter what she wore, someone was going to say something about it. She thought about the guy, and how he would look in the blue suit. She had thought, for a moment, he was going to ask for her number or something, and was a little disappointed that he hadn't.

In fact, he had left pretty abruptly. They had been having a nice moment, and then all of a sudden he checked his watch and bolted. She shook her head. He was gone, there was no point wondering whether he had been making up an excuse or really had to go. She took the dress and went to look for shoes.

John paid for the blue suit and left the thrift shop. On his walk to the restaurant, he thought about the young woman who helped him. She seemed pleasant enough and he cursed himself for not spending some extra time talking to her. But he was running a tad late for an important meeting with a client.

He didn't like to be late for meetings and always remembered his old college coach yelling at him and the team. "If you're on time .... you're late and if you're 10 minutes early ..... You're on time. Rushing into the restaurant, he saw his client had not arrived yet and breathed a sigh of relief. Checking his watch, he smiled and then chuckled .... He was 10 minutes early. His client showed up at the appointed time and John was ready for their meeting.

The meeting went very well and John smiled as he left the restaurant at the realization he had a new client. But on the way to his condo, his thoughts were not on his client but on the woman from the thrift shop. He admonished himself again for not taking the time to talk with her. As he entered his condo, he tried to console himself, telling himself, she was too beautiful not to have a steady boyfriend.

Over the next few weeks, John threw himself into work, early morning basketball with Robert and his other friends.

At the bachelor party a week before the wedding, Peter, Robert's brother, asked John if he found a girl to bring to the wedding. "PJ .... I haven't found a girl to bring to the wedding so it looks like I will be flying solo." John thought about the girl in the thrift shop and wished he would have talked to her. The rest of the groomsmen and friends made a few comments and John took all the good-natured ribbing in stride. By now he was used to being kidded about not having a long-term girlfriend.

On the day of the wedding, John walked up the steps of the church, seeing most of the men with a woman on their arm. At the entrance, an usher asked John, "bride or groom."

John responded, "groom." The usher smiled and gave him a bulletin and walked him down the aisle to a place on the groom's side. He looked over to the bride's side of the aisle, seeing some young women looking in his direction. He looked up to the altar, seeing Robert and Peter walk out and stand along with the other groomsmen. For a moment he felt alone and it was as if he were the only one in the church not with a partner.

Christina ended up getting the pink dress, and a cute pair of beige strappy sandals. The shoes were a little lighter than her own skin tone, which wasn't ideal, but she didn't think anyone would really come at her about it. Not when they could talk about her cleavage or her thighs, which the pink dress would show off a great deal of. It wasn't until she got home that she wondered quite why she had settled on the pink dress without even looking at the others.

It was because of Mr Blue Suit, she realized. At least he had asked for her advice before she gave it. He had told her what he thought without her even asking, and she'd bought the damn thing without giving it a second thought. It did look pretty smoking though, she admitted when she tried it on. Hot, but a little hard to breathe. Blue had good taste. Too bad the chances of seeing him again were essentially zero.

She more or less starved herself for three weeks, eating a green salad for dinner and nothing else. She was getting lightheaded from time to time, but when the day of the wedding came, she could breathe just fine in the dress. She came with her sister and her sister's husband and their brats. She had a pretty good hangover from the party the night before, and was trying to drink enough water to feel human again without bloating herself. They shuffled to their seats, and she caught aunt Carol's disapproving look at her dress. It was going to be a long, long day.

When the music started ("I want it that way," as if she wasn't already nauseous enough), she turned to look back to see Angela walk down the aisle on her stepfather's arm. That was when she saw the blue suit on the other side of the aisle. She stared at him until Angela passed between them, and she realized it was him. Mr Blue Suit was here. She didn't feel hungover anymore. She felt fucking giddy.

Maybe she was just lightheaded from starving herself, but she never felt that between her legs.

John was sitting next to an elderly couple and continued to look out toward the altar. He saw Robert with a smile on his face, look expectedly down the aisle to the back of the church.

When the music started, John saw the people in the front pews rise. It was as if they signaled the rest of the church to stand and look to the back of the church. John, along with the elderly couple, stood and turned to watch Angela, escorted by her stepfather, begin their procession to the front of the church.

As he turned he thought he saw a woman who resembled the one from the thrift shop. She was in a pew across the aisle and several rows in front of him. She was in a pew with a man and woman along with two kids.

He wasn’t sure it was the same woman but the pink dress sure looked like the one he saw on the beautiful woman in the thrift shop.

Angela and her stepfather walked by and everyone turned to watch them approach Robert. His sight of the woman in pink was obscured by others in the congregation. But that didn’t stop him from trying.

As the wedding ceremony progressed his only thought was that he needed to find out her name and if she was married to the man next to her. God he hoped not and as the ceremony droned on all she was the thought on his mind.

Suddenly he didn’t feel so alone. His heart beat a little faster and he wanted the wedding to be over so he might meet her again.

Weddings have a reputation for being aphrodisiacs, and Christina had always thought it was bullshit. Not that weddings didn't get lots of people laid, but it wasn't anything magical about the event. It was a simple set of factors. Alcohol. Dancing. Men actually making an effort to look good. And added to that, the pressure generated by all her aunties asking her when she was going to get married, it was a wonder anyone single made it through a reception.

Then, add a touch of fate. A stranger she had encountered weeks ago at a thrift store and felt a hint of chemistry with. One of those stranger attractions that get filed under 'what if?' and mostly forgotten, but this one turned up and made her heart race.

"Jesus, Christina," her sister murmured as the pastor began delivering a sermon about the sanctity of marriage. "Turn it down a little."

"What?" Christina asked.

"You're practically panting," her sister said. "I know you didn't just run a mile. Maybe go rub one out so you don't start drooling before the reception?"

No rubbing would be necessary, though. The humiliation of being called out, however discretely, for being blatantly turned on in the middle of the church was more than enough to shut her down. She watched the ceremony, listened to the vows, sighed as they slipped rings on each other. Not that she wasn't still aware that Blue Suit was here, but she wasn't going to jump him. Not right away, at least.

At the end of the ceremony, there was the slow exit, everyone filed down the aisle, shuffling forward step by step. She saw the blue fabric ahead of her.

During the ceremony, John kept looking over to the other side of the aisle, hoping to catch a glimpse of the woman in pink. To say he was infatuated was an understatement. The last three weeks were filled with thoughts of the lady in pink and sometimes to the point of being obsessive, thinking about her for long periods of time.

And now, he was sure it was her sitting across the aisle with a woman and man. Wild thoughts flew around in his brain and at one point in the ceremony; he felt a certain stirring in his pants. John found himself breathing a bit heavier, wishing they would wrap up their vows so they could get on with the reception.

Finally, the preacher announced them man and wife and while Robert and Angela kissed, he looked over to see if the lady in pink was watching. But with so many spectators clapping and laughing, it was hard to see her. The blissful bride and groom marched down the aisle to the back of the church to the sound of congratulations and tears.

John had been to weddings in the past where the ushers released people pew by pew. But for some reason, the people starting filing out and the elderly couple whispered to John to go. John wanted to wait for the lady in pink but at the insistence of the elderly couple he squeezed into the pack of people walking toward the exit.

At the back of the church, he walked through the greeting line, telling the groomsmen and bridesmaids they did a wonderful job and looked great. He kissed Angela and shook Robert's hand, wishing them all the good fortune and happiness in their marriage.

John stood outside the church doors waiting for the lady in pink to exit. He felt a bit nervous and hoped he wasn't considered too foolish when she appeared. It seemed like a long time had passed and no lady in pink. Then through the open doors, she appeared and he felt like his breath was taken away.

He approached her from the side and said, "I see you took my advice on the dress. You look absolutely stunning." Then he blushed a bright red, realizing he didn't know her name. "I .... ah .....," he stumbled to get the words out. "I'm John." He held out his hand for her to shake and saw the man who was in the pew with her, standing behind her looking at him. He suddenly wondered if he was overstepping his bounds. "What if she was married?" Nervously he waited for her response.

The bottleneck opened after the happy couple greeted everyone. Christina's niece and nephew were already complaining about how slow things were going, and she couldn't blame them. Whoever thought the best way to celebrate a commitment of love and passion in a church had a lot to answer for. The minister had basically lectured them on what it means to be married, and then done the vows and the rings. Once the bride had walked down the aisle, it had been boring. Or maybe Christina wasn't in the mood after her sister's crack about her excitement.

She hugged and kissed Angela, shook the husband's hand and leaned in for a quick peck, and then she practically skipped down the steps, free at last. She was just at the bottom, scanning the milling crowd for blue suit, when he appeared. He remembered the dress, and she grinned. He introduced himself. John.

Suddenly she was blushing harder than she ever had. Half an hour ago, she had been sitting in church, fantasizing about fucking this guy and she didn't even know his name. Maybe her sister had been right. She gave him her hand, her palm turned down, rather than meeting him palm to palm like a business handshake.

"Christina," she said, and she sounded so ridiculously composed that she giggled and added, "Cousin of the bride."

But he wasn't looking at her. He was looking behind her. She turned. Her brother-in-law was lurking there. Was he keeping an eye on her? Had her sister assigned him to chaperone her? Or was he just there?

She turned back to Blue Suit... John. Blue Suit John. Blue John. BJ. She grinned.

"Take a walk with me?" she said, wanting to get out of the crowd, away from her family. Alone with Blue John.

John saw her blushing when he spoke to her and when the woman offered her hand, palm down, John smiled. Seeing the way she presented her hand, John lifted it and placed a small kiss to the back of her hand as she told him her name was Christina. What made him smile brighter was when she told him she was the cousin of the bride.

"Nice to meet you Christina," he said as he let her hand drop. He noticed her head came up to his chin and that was not all he noticed. Her large breasts seemed to be pushing out of her pink dress giving him a very clear view of her deep cleavage.

When she turned her head to look at the man staring at them, John thought he might be her husband or boyfriend. But then he heard a female voice, "there you are." John saw the woman who had been sitting in the pew with them approach with two kids. The man and woman started talking to each other and John felt a sense of relief that the man was married to the woman and Christina was not attached to him. But did she have a boyfriend?

He smiled and said "Sure," when she asked if he would walk with her.

John saw a concerned look on the man's face but he didn't say anything as he and Christina walked toward a flower garden not far from the church. The sound of people having conversations filled the air as they waited for the bride and groom to leave the church.

He had some very vivid images of the lady in pink over the last few weeks and now he had a name, Christina, and she looked more beautiful than he remembered in the thrift shop.

As they made their way to the flower garden, he told her, "I wondered if you bought the dress. And I can see you look absolutley great wearing it." John takes another chance, glancing down at her exposed cleavage, wondering what it would feel like to touch and kiss her.

Arriving at the flower garden, he added, "And thank you for your advice on the suit. I got a few compliments when I first arrived at the church."

The flower garden was filled with splendid flowers arranged in a circular pattern with the centerpiece being a small water fountain. There were four concrete benches, one on each side and he picked one that faced the church. Sitting next to Chrisina, John felt a stirring in his loins and excitement in the pit of his stomach.

"I know you're the cousin of the bride and as you may have guessed, I'm a friend of the groom. Robert and I go back a few years, playing basketball at the gym on most mornings before we start the day. I'm also his financial advisor and I almost didn't come because I don't have a date. But Robert and his best man Peter made me promise to show up. I'm looking forward to the reception at the country club. From what I heard Angela's parents went all out on the reception."
John saw the crowd of people at the steps of the church, getting ready to throw the rice on the newly married couple. "What about you Christina? Are you here alone or is your date coming to the reception later?"

John waited for her answer hoping she was not waiting for someone. He also saw the two young kids running toward them and could only assume they were sent by the man and woman who was with Christina.

Christina blushed as John kissed her hand, though she had absolutely baited him to do so. It made her heart race because maybe her feeling was reciprocated. He wouldn't kiss her hand if he wasn't flirting with her, would he? Then he walked with her, leading her away from the crowd, to the garden, where they would be surrounded by flowers and quiet. She reminded herself to move her feet, one after the other. She reminded herself to breathe in, breathe out. She was dizzy even though she hadn't had so much as a sip of champagne. Who needed it?

When he told her she looked good in the dress, she stood a little straighter, and pushed her chest out just a little further, right as his eyes dropped to look. She blushed, but she kept her shoulders back. There was no point in having huge boobs and a low cut dress and then trying to hide it.

"You saved me a lot of time," she said. "I had spent literally weeks being indecisive. Not all in the thrift store, but you know?"

"And that suit... I mean... you look hot," she said, and giggled nervously. Did she really just say he looked hot? Couldn't she have found some more elegant or sophisticated way of saying it. She sounded a hair more articulate than a cave-woman.

They sat by a fountain, and he told her about his connection to Robert. She nodded, listening and picking up clues. Basketball, gym, financial advisor, no date. Then he asked her.

"No," she said. Awkwardly, she stammered on "My date is... he was... I'm not... available."

"Wait!" she nearly screamed. "I mean, I don't have a date. I'm not here with anyone. I AM available. OK, that sounds desperate. Can we rewind? Oh, no, I'm not here with anyone. Should we go to the reception?"

"I mean, we should," she said. "I should go before my ride leaves."

She didn't stand up right away.

John smiled when she mentioned he saved her a lot of time. Hell he was pisses at himself for not staying at the thrift shop and getting to know her three weeks ago. But that was in the past and he was very happy they connected again. He grinned when she told him he looked hot in the blue suit.

It was his turn to be a bit shy as he replied nervously, "really? Huhhh .... Thanks ..... I know you definitely made my search for a suit a lot easier."

John was confused for a moment hearing Christina stammer that she was not available and then fumbling for the right words to tell him she was not at the wedding with anyone and she was available. He could tell she was flustered as she asked if they should go to the reception and then suggested she should leave the flower garden before her ride leaves.

John saw the two young kids almost to the edge of the flower garden. When she didn't stand right away, he quickly placed his hand on her bare knee, gently squeezing. Then as if he burnt his hand, he he quickly pulled his hand off her knee and mumbled, "sorry about that." But he wasn't really sorry because in his mind what he really wanted to do was slide it up until he was touching her where he knew it would bring her pleasure.

A bit embarrased, he looked up to see the two kids laughing as they approached them. "I see you have two young kids apparently looking for you."

He saw both of the young kids looking at him like he was an alien. "Aunt Chrissy," she called out a bit breathlessly. "Mom and dad said you have to come and throw rice," said the little girl.

The little boy, however, stood with his arms crossed and stared at him. "Who are you? And why are you with Aunt Chrissy?"

John grinned and then let out a laugh. "My name is John and I'm a friend of Robert, the groom." He glanced at Christina and couldn't help but have his eyes drawn to her large breast. "Your aunt and I were having a nice conversation and getting to know each other."

John looked at both the young kids and told them. "Why don't you go back to your mom and dad and tell them we are coming to throw rice at the bride and groom." That seemed to satisfy the two kids as they looked at their Aunt Chrissy for her approval.

Before she could answer, he blurted out. "How about if I give you a ride to the reception?"

The two young kids looked at their aunt as well as John, waiting for her response.

Christina grinned when he said she made the search for the suit easier. She was sure she had blown it when she told him that she wasn't available, but he seemed to actually accept her explanation of what she meant. She was going to say more, but then he put his hand on her knee. She froze, mouth forming the beginning of a word she had already forgotten.
The moment only lasted a moment. He pulled his hand away. And then she saw why. Her niece and nephew. Sent to fetch her, because for all that everyone fussed at her for being single, they were quite willing to cockblock her at every opportunity. And apparently weren't above using the kids to do it.

She nodded that they would come, and then she had a thought.

"Tommy?" she said. Her nephew froze. "Did your mom tell you to ask who this man is?"

Tommy was eight, and had no poker face. He didn't snitch on his mom, but his discomfort made it clear the answer was yes. Aunt Chrissy grinned.

"Want to have some fun?" she said. "Tell your mom he is Lou Ciffer, ok?"

Tommy smiled. He liked pranks. He didn't get it, but he knew Aunt Chrissy was winding his mom up, and he was on board. She had him repeat the name.

"We're on our way," she said, and stood.

"I'd love it if you gave me a ride," she said. "Especially since my sister is about to not want me anywhere near her kids."

John tried not to laugh when Christina asked her nephew if his mom put him up to asking about him. He could see Tommy didn't want to displease his aunt and tried not to answer but his body language gave away the answer.

He wondered what Christina meant when she asked Tommy if he wanted to have some fun with his mom. When she told the young man that John's name is Lou Ciffer, he thought it odd. As the young boy turned and started running with his sister back to their parents, he remembered that the man was a musican.

But there was someone more ominous, more evil that would surely get a reaction from her sister. John looked at Christina, thinking that her sister was going to think he was the devil .... Lucifer.

When Christina rose from the concrete bench and mentioned they were on there way, John wondered what type of reception he was going to get from Christina's sister and brother-in-law.

He couldn't help but laugh when, after she accepted his offer for a ride, she mentioned that her sister would not want her anywhere near her children. John was sure her sister would take the joke in stride but he didn't know if she would or not.
As they made their way to the crowd mingling outside the church, John saw the young boy telling his mother what his aunt told him to say. John saw her look in their direction and then at her husband, saying something that drew his attention away from a conversation with another man.

When they arrived at the group of people, he saw Christina's sister and husband give him a good looking over. He wanted to apologize to them but a young attendant handed him a small bag of rice. The bride and groom were standing at on the top step of the church, ready to be bombarded with rice.

The couple made their way down the steps and was pelted with rice as they made their way to their car. When they were on their way, John held out his arm for Christina. He wasn't sure she would link her arm with his but he told her, "So you like to play with the devil do you. That silver BMW is my ride and if you're so inclined to ride with the devil, I'll be happy to escort you to the reception."

Then he thought of some line from a Batman movie and grinned. "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" John smiled and thought this was going to be a fun night with Christina.

John seemed quiet as they made their way back to the front of the church to throw rice. Christina hoped he wasn't offended. For all she knew he was a deeply religious man who would take serious offense at being compared to the devil, even as a prank. She watched her sister's reaction. It wasn't much, but it was telling that she at least pulled her husband out of whatever game he was talking about to make sure John was not, in fact, the devil. For a moment, she thought they were going to come over and stage an intervention or something, but the day's rituals saved them all a lot of embarrassment.

After the rice, John offered her his arm, and she rested her hand on his elbow, so ladylike! He led her away, and she smiled. She was about to offer an explanation about her sister, but she didn't really want to ruin a nice moment with a deep dive into her family history. She wasn't even sure if this qualified as a date, but she was pretty sure that guys got spooked by too much personal stuff too soon.

Luckily, John spoke before she could say anything to spook him. Apparently he wasn't offended by the devil joke.

"I would love a ride to the reception," she said. She looked at the car, and raised an eyebrow. "Or wherever. You know... that's a pretty nice ride."

Then he said some cheeseball line that seemed wildly out of character, but it was familiar. they walked a few steps before she figured out where she had heard it. She giggled. She couldn't remember any lines from that movie to respond with, but she thought of the other joker, and laughed again.

"Why so serious?" she asked, as they got in his car.

John slid behind the wheel and started the BMW. He was thinking about Christina's comment about going wherever when she referred to the fancy car. Wouldn't it be nice to just take off and miss the reception? Maybe head to the beach or maybe some park where it would be quiet.

He looked at Christina and again his eyes were drawn to her deep cleavage and he felt another yearning course through him. Glancing down at her exposed thighs, he almost slid his hand over the consul and touched her. But he refrained thinking that if they had dated for awhile, it would be natural for him to touch and rub her exposed flesh.

Instead he spoke. "I didn't think I looked so serious," he responded to her question. John put the car in drive and proceeded to exit the church parking lot. He noticed Christina's sister and husband watching him and her as they drove past. The two kids were already in the car.

"I was thinking of the looks I got when we arrived at the church to throw rice. I was trying to figure out if they thought I was alright to be with you. They seem to be very protective of you."

John waited for Christina to answer him as she seemed to be thinking of what to say. Then he added before she could speak. "Just so you know ..... I'm not the devil." He laughed and chuckled. "I'm far from being a goody two shoes and I do love to have a devil of a good time ..... If you know what I mean."

"What about you Christina? Do you like to have a devil of a good time?" He quickly thought of something else. "I like the sound of Chrissy instead of the formal Christina. Can I call you Chrissy or is that something only your young neice and nephew can call you?"

Christina giggled when John said he didn't look so serious.

"Oh, you don't," she said. "It was just a line from a movie."

She waved to her sister and family as they drove past. The looks she got were precious. Of course they were concerned that she had gotten in a car with a total stranger. And her sister was annoyed that she had fed her nephew the Lucifer line. But they were constantly wondering when she was going to get a man, so maybe they could just let her get to know a guy for five minutes before trying to take control of the whole thing. On the other hand....

"They just think... I'm not too smart when it comes to guys," she said. "I mean, it's coming from a good place. I just wish they'd back off a little."

She laughed again when he said he wasn't the devil. "Oh, well. The devil would be a big improvement over the guys I usually date."

"Tell me what a devil of a good time is," she purred. "Everyone's idea of a good time is different."

"I'll let you call me Chrissy if I like your answer," she said. Then she whispered, "You can call me a lot of things if I like your answer."

John smiled when Christina told him her family thinks she is not smart enough when it comes to guys. And then followed that up with how the devil would be a big improvement over the guys she dated.

He chuckled at her comment just as the car hit a bump in the pavement, making Christina's breast bounce provactively. For a moment John's attention was diverted to her deep cleavage giggling before settleing down again. John again had to make a conscious effort not to place his hand on her bare thigh.

They were stopped for a traffic signal when she asked him to tell her what a devil of a good time is,. The way she purred seemed to indicate she was teasing with him when she added that everyone's idea of a good time is different.

John was thinking of an answer when she added that he could call her Chrissy if she liked his answer. And when she added in a low seductive whisper that he could call her a lot of things if she liked his answer caused a slight jolt of lust rush through him. He could think of a lot of nasty lusty words to call her if the time and the place was right. But before that could happen he needed to convince her what constituted a devil of a good time.

As they proceed through the intersection, another bump in the pavement brought another rise and fall of her breasts and John could only wish he could smother his face in her cleavage and other places.

He managed to get his mind right and said, "Well, for starters, maybe when you find a guy they get to know better, maybe then they'll think differently," he said with a bright smile and laugh. "You know someone like me who knows how to pick out the perfect dress for the cousin of the bride."

John had to get his mind back on track. "So what is a devil of a good time? Good question." John thought for a moment. "As you know a devil of a good time can mean a lot of things to different people. But to me it means having an exciting time and enjoying yourself immensely and having a fun and exciting experience."

He stopped for a moment and then added, "some people might think going to a music concert or some other event and enjoying themselves is having a devil of a good time."

He smiled and looked at Christina. "like today with you. I was excited to see you at the church. I know I should have started a conversation with you at the thrift store because I did find you very attractive. But putting that aside, I was ecstatic to see you sitting across the aisle, knowing that if you didn't have a date or were not married, I would get an opportunity to know you better. And we got to talk and now we're on our way to the reception where there will be music, food, champagne, and dancing."

The exclusive country club was near and John added, "If we hit it off and enjoy ourselves like we have already, we are on our way to having a devil of a good time." He couldn't help but chuckle again as he added, "and who knows maybe later when the sun goes down we can slip out of the reception, go out onto the golf course and you can dance with the devil in the pale moonlight."

He glanced again at the soft flesh on her thigh and the slight giggling of her breasts as he ended with, "What do you think Christina or Chrissy? Did you like what I had to say about having a devil of a good time? And do I get the honor of calling Chrissy which sounds more exciting and less formal."

Christina wondered if he was hitting the potholes on purpose, but she dismissed the thought. It was too nice a car for that. He was just distracted, she thought. Not that he didn't glance at the road every now and then, but she found him looking at her as often as not. She didn't mind at all.

When he spoke of himself as a good guy, she smiled. She was curious about him, and the idea that he was a good guy wasn't as off-putting as it normally was. Maybe because he had already shown he wasn't a passive loser. He had approached her at the thrift store, and again at the wedding. For a moment, she imagined dating a guy her family didn't hate. Inconceivable!

He went on a bit of a journey with his answer to her question. He was playing it safe, she thought. Maybe that was part of being a good guy? The last guy she had dated would have told her very bluntly what he wanted and that she had better get started or get out of the car. It had been a rush, but it hadn't left her feeling very good. Part of her wanted that treatment from John, but she liked that he was exploring. He was thinking. He was actually thinking about what she would like, which was probably a good thing. Maybe her problem wasn't that she gave guys road head, but that she dated guys who demanded it. Maybe a guy who doesn't go there the second time they met is a step up.

"Midnight stroll on the golf course?" she said. "I know there's a hole in one joke in their somewhere. Or maybe you just want to show me your wood?"

"I think that answer gets you Chrissy," she says. "We can talk about other things as the night goes on."

As John turned the car into the parking lot, he let out a chuckle when Christina mentioned a midnight stroll on the golf course. And followed that up with telling him there's a hole in one joke somewhere in the comment or maybe he wants to show her his wood.

He was also pleased when she added that he could call her Chrissy and talk about the other things later in the night.

John shook his head and smiled before chuckling. "Well Chrissy," he said with a big pause as he pulled up to the valet waiting to take his car. "I know where the hole is but I thought maybe instead of using my wood, I might just use my stiff shaft on my putter."

Just then Chrissy's door opened and a young valet hired for the reception was staring at her. John knew he was staring at her cleavage as she swiveled in her seat and offered the young man her hand. John was still smiling at his joke as he got out the driver's side and walked around the car to receive the ticket for parking.

"Well Chrissy," he said holding out his arm for her to take. "Let's get inside and start this party. Oh I mean having a devil of a good time."

Just inside the door, a hostess with a seating chart smiled politely. "Hi Christina." She looked at the chart. "You're seated at table 5 with your sister, husband, and their children.

The young hostess looked at John. "Your name sir?"

"John ..... John Robinson .... friend of the groom."

She looked down at the chart. "Hmmmm oh there you are. You're at table 22 with some of the grooms family."

John looked down at the seating chart, seeing only four other people listed at his table. "Would it be possible for Christina to be seated at my table. It looks like there are some empty seats."

"I .... I don't know. There was a lot of thought putting this together." She looked at Christina. "I guess it'll be ok. I'll let your sister know of the change."

"Thank you very much," John said as he turned to Chrissy. "Is that ok with you, honey." he said with a wide grin.

Christina laughs at the putter joke.

"That takes me to the limit of my ability to make golf jokes," she said. "I didn't think you were going to have such a snappy come back. I'll have to make sure I don't underestimate you in the future."

She gave the parking attendant a smile. Yeah, he was ogling her a little too directly, but the dress really did show a lot of cleavage, and she was having too much fun to be bothered by it. She walked away before he could try to chat her up or anything, and then she waited for John to catch up.

She got her table assignment, and he got his. She was just about to say they should meet up after dinner when he asked to change. To change her assignment. She gaped as the hostess squirmed, and then gave in. Then John turned to her, grinning.

"You did not get permission to call me honey," she said, her face neutral. "That's bold. And switching my seat assignment without even asking me? Very bold."

"How lucky are you that I find boldness very sexy?" she whispered, leaning closer, and then she grinned. She presented her hand, for him to escort her to their table. "Honey."

"So," she asked on the way to the table. "Do you know the groom's family at all?"

After John asked Chrissy if it was alright to change her seat assignment and teasingly called her honey, he waited for her to chastice him. And he didn't have to wait long. As they walked away from the receptionist, she scolded him for not having permission to call her honey. But she added that it was bold for him to say it and to switch her seat assignment was very bold.

John could tell her anger was fake and deep down she liked his comments when he saw her grin after telling him she found his boldness very sexy. "I'm glad you find me very sexy honey," he said as she took his hand. He leaned close to her and whispered in her ear as he squeezed her hand, "And I find you extremely sexy. I'm looking forward our walk in the moonlight."

"No I don't know Robert's family," he replied when she asked. "I'm sure Angela, her bridesmaids, or her mother arranged the seating chart because we didn't bring a date." John added with laugh, "little did they know we were going to find each other after our famous meeting at the thrift shop."

Up ahead John saw the table they were assigned. Four older people were talking amongest themselves. They looked to be in their 50's and 60's. John assumed they were aunts and uncles of the groom.

John spied the open bar nearby and no one was at the bar. John squeezed Chrissy's hand, directing her to the bar. "What do you say we get something to drink before we meet Robert's relatives?

The older bartender eyes were definitely drawn to Christina's cleavage as he wiped some glasses. "What will you have to drink? We have beer and a full assortment of liquor.

"I'll have a bourbon on the rocks," John said. The bartender turned his back to get John's drink.

While the bartender poured John's drink, John put his lips close to her ear and in a teasing tone only she could hear, whispered jokingly, "I don't want you plastered before you get a chance to walk barefoot on the green and dance with the devil."

The bartender, sliding John's drink on the bar smiled and asked Christina, "And you miss? What will you have this evening?

"White wine," Christina answered the bartender, smiling. She shrugged at John. "I will try not to get plastered."

"But just in case," she says with a wink. "Can I rely on you to take full advantage of me if I do get plastered? I am hereby, sober as a judge, consenting to walking barefoot on the green, dancing with the devil, and any activities that may develop as a result thereof."

She giggled as the bartender delivered her wine.

"He's your witness."

She looked at the table where they were assigned, and the older crowd.

"Wow, they really stuck you in with the hot young singles, didn't they," she said. It was possibly worse than being stuck with her sister and family. "It's not too late to skip out for cheeseburgers. We'll miss all the embarrassing toasts, though. Angela's brother can be pretty hilarious."

John chuckled at Chrissy's comment about trying not to get plastered and would he take full advantage of her if she did. "You bet I'll take full advantage of you," he replied as the bartender returned with her wine.

"You can count on me to be your witness," the bartender responded taking full advantage of staring at Chrissy's deep cleavage. "And if he needs any help .... wiping the counter .... I'll be right here."

John looked at the bartender with a glaring stare. "I don't think that will be necessary. I can my honey just fine if she is or is not plastered."

Turning away from the bar, John took her free hand as they walked to the assigned table. He listened to her comments about the older people at the table but knew there was no way they could slip out now. John squeezed her hand. "Well let's make the most of it. Maybe there not as bad as they look."

John put on a polite smile as they arrived at the table. "Hi .... I'm John, friend of the groom and this is Christina, cousin of the bride.

A man with salt and pepper hair returned the smile. "I'm Patrick, Robert's uncle and this is my wife, Gloria. As Patrick smiled and eyed Chrissy's oversized chest and deep cleavage, John noted his wife had had platinum blonde hair and a wore a lot of makeup. She too, like Chrissy, wore a low cut dress that showed off some her cleavage. She had a cutesy smile while her her eyes were glancing up and down his body.

The other man at the table was quick to add. "I'm Duane and this is my wife, Bridget, Patrick's sister and Robert's aunt." John noted Duane used some type of hair dye as the color was deep black. He too betrayed his interest in Chrissy's low cut dress. His wife Bridget, was dressed more conservatively with a high neck line that shielded anyone from seeing what was hidden under the dress.

John held Chrissy's chair like a true gentleman which was not lost on the two women on the other side of the table. Their eyes continued to look at him as he sat and then the inquisition started.

Bridget had a smug smile on her face as she held her wine glass close to her lips. "You two look like a cute couple. How long have you been dating? And how did you meet?"

The men's faces showed a little disgust but they knew their place. And before either John or Chrissy could answer, Gloria chimed in directing her questions to Christina. "Isn't that your sister walking this way and didn't I see you and your sister at Angela's bridal shower? And what a cute dress. I bet your young friend can't keep his eyes off you."

There was no doubt to John Gloria was comparing her own low cut dress to Chrissy's dress. He had a feeling Gloria liked being the center of attention and she may be thinking Chrissy is barging in on her territory.
