If you come to teh east coast, I'll give you the grand tour of the outer banks, and kitty hawk, and the lighthouses :)

Or my bedroom. Your choice.

Go for it you guys, that is a truly beautiful part of the country--not to be missed. Just be a little careful during the hurricane season. Oh yeah, and Jason is there too. ;)

I'd love to hear about your adventures. If one of you takes a laptop, be sure to check in and tell us all about your exploits! :)

No worries, TB. If we're staying with litsters, we're at least assured of having internet access everywhere we go, lol.

Damn, this'll be a great trip. Gracie, pack your bags!!

What about Alaska to see Arctic-Stranger and me. We even have an extra room over the sauna!

I know it is out of the way but he has tons of book and I will bake cookies…

Alaska? ALASKA?! Do you know how far out of the way that is?!?!

Okay. *adjusts route to involve Alaska* Those'd better be some good cookies, girl!

You left out Tennessee on your route through the SE US... thus missing BondageBunni, EKVITKAR, TNArkitect2B (sp?), and ... oh, yeah... me.

Why did I think you lived in the UK???

In any case, we'll certainly not want to leave out Tennessee. :D *notes it on map with thumbtack*

Oh, yeah... and CutieMouse in her bookstore in Memphis, too. So that covers all three parts of TN, lol - Western TN for Mousie, Middle TN for BB and (I think) TNArk, and East TN for me and EK.

And I couldn't possibly live in the UK - I don't add an unnecessary "u" to words ending in "or."

From Merriam-Webster Online:
Main Entry: com·mon·wealth
Pronunciation: -"welth also -"weltth
Function: noun
1 archaic : COMMONWEAL 2
2 : a nation, state, or other political unit: as a : one founded on law and united by compact or tacit agreement of the people for the common good b : one in which supreme authority is vested in the people c : REPUBLIC
3 capitalized a : the English state from the death of Charles I in 1649 to the Restoration in 1660 b : PROTECTORATE 1b
4 : a state of the U.S. -- used officially of Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia
5 capitalized : a federal union of constituent states -- used officially of Australia
6 often capitalized : an association of self-governing autonomous states more or less loosely associated in a common allegiance (as to the British crown)
7 often capitalized : a political unit having local autonomy but voluntarily united with the U.S. -- used officially of Puerto Rico and of the Northern Mariana Islands

So, in effect, it's another word for "state." Some people just like to be different.

Vancouver so you can very politey call on Ms. Shadowsdream, (if she's home) Manitoba (I'll give you directions to the town cause it's not on the map!) and I think Vixandra's in California somewhere right now. I'm close enough to Betticus that we could hit there next. And....

My car is HUGE....

Travel out from Hawaii, hit Gracey's... go up to Canada, then travel down to VT ! I can put ya'll up for as long as you'd like, as long as you're not allergic to my pups.
Contemplation, Ucellis and Niteloser are a stones throw from my place as well !

I'm not allergic, but I've been unfairly accused of spoiling blue kat's dawg rotten.

Don't forget me! :(

I'm in Kansas, very close to DVS, actually. And we've got living quarters in our 4 horse trailer, with a queen size and a full sized bed in there... so we can pack a bunch more in that way!

And I sincerely hope no one is allergic to just about anything, because we have them all here. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, turtles, fish... :D

We'd never miss you. lol And why did I think KC was in Minnesota?

Ok, who's in Minnesota that I'm thinking about?

Oh, and if you're in Baltimore, you're SOL. I refuse to be in the same city as the murdering son of a bitch. I might do something I'll regret.

As for Alaska, I figure we'll go to Alaska during the summer, to avoid the snow. (ick) And we'll visit the hot states druing the winter to avoid the heat. (double - ick)

And we'll definately do KC's last. lol A big north american lit part sounds like too much fun.

So, people, what interesting things is there to see in your state?

When Killi comes to Oregon we're going to go to Powells book store (of course). But I'm also gonna take her to the Saturday Market. It's this really cool outdoor market. It has one major rule, everything has to be made by the seller, and the seller has to be from the northwest. Plus it's successful enough that the stuff their is very high quality. It's where I buy most of my jewelry. You can get a set of sterling silver hoop earrings for $3. (And since I can't wear anything but silver, gold or platinum, that's awesome!)

I'm also gonna take her to the Ape Caves. (Assuming that Mt. St. Helens isn't still being bitchy.) It's under Mt. St. Helens, and really fun to explore.

Dude Canadians do that too. The u is necessary. Very necessary.

I sometimes correct myself from doing it. Maybe because I've read alot of British authors? I'll write "colour" or something similar and then have to go back, catch myself, and take out the "u."

I live in Hawaii, so it's GOT to be a habit picked up from reading.
