The skirt is so large that I can hold two side of it backup over my head and have a cascade of ruffles down my back and then give it a spin. To say the least... I've never grown up.

Its actually a bare mid-section, two piece set and the patterned material is real handpainted Chinese silk that I got from an airline stewardess at a yard sale down the street for like eight bucks. Underneath I wear sheer harem pants that are pink with a snakeskin design softly printed through it but you rarely see them except when I do my long Sufi spins.

Since my work is usually more folkloric, I don't get to wear that one very much. Next March though I think I will for a big convention we have out here. www.rakkasah.com That crowd hasn't seen it yet even though I've had it for a couple of years.

The brunette pictured here is the one who made it for me. She's wearing pants that have two stacks of ruffles on the bottom. :)

Im not sure but that word ( rakkasah ) sounds very firmilar, I see that it is in New Jersey maybe I will stop down, although I dont dance it would be a nice photo Op,I havent shot in awhile due to being busy from school...
 
Yes, my same 'club' does a series in Jersey in October. :) It was here for many years first and we have our's in March. I wanted to go work at that one but my family here at home doesn't like me traveling as much anymore.
