Have a magnificent one darling. Us late December birthday people have to stick together. I remember growing up with 3 brothers. There are so many "happy birthday/merry christmas presents from them when we were kids. On the other hand, I could ask my folks for something "big" as it would count for both.

Ahhh the halcyon days of childhood.

Now for some mutual reflection from one almost Christmas baby to another...

As a kid, I never liked my birthday, for 2 reasons.

One: it was so close to Christmas that I got many "this gift is your birthday and Christmas" type presents. So, my birthday was like non-existant.

Two: I was born on my mother's birthday so I got lots of "this is for you and your mom to share" type presents. (those types of gifts were like hair dryers and electric curlers, etc.) Again, my birthday was like non-existant.

I feel differently now, of course. But I'm wiser and more mature about things and I appreciate things people give to me and do for me, whatever the occasion.

I love you too, doll. And I love what you do for me, every day... I hope that I can return to you, all this and more.

Wow you had the date of your birthday the same as your Mom's too and right next to Christmas. Gee, guess I had it easy. I just had to deal with it being Christmas Eve. I was lucky as my folks made sure Christmas was done on Christmas day, much to the chagrin of my brothers. I can still smile at that memory.

We all get a bit of perspective as we celebrate a few of them. Hope you had a great birthday this year and have a joyous and blessed Christmas hon.

You know, I do plan to make it an exciting one. Especially with my first of the year trip to see Des and whoever I get lucky enough to meet, too in Atlanta. Then I want to go to BC this spring/summer and see Ma'am Shadows. I don't want to let anything pass me by, anymore. ;-)
