aHem. That other birthday wish is from last year. But, you're right on time for this year, so your memory seems fine.

Yes, my birthday is the day after tax day. I know, it's a little sad. But, when you think about it, after you've paid your taxes, you can celebrate with a party.

And this year, I've actually got something to celebrate! Woo Hoo! But, I'm kind of tired now, because I went down the street and had myself a great Mexican dinner to celebrate. I've been eating kind of skimpy stuff the last few weeks, trying to save money. But, I splurged tonight.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes, everybody. since my birthday falls on the day after tax day, I thought a bit of tax humor could be fun. When I did my taxes recently, I realized I owe Missouri $1. Kansas won't require you to send in anything under $5. If you find you owe them $4, you can just forget it. They won't hunt you down.

But, Missouri does require that you send them any amount. So I'm required to write a check for $1, put a 45 cent stamp on it (or whatever is current today) and mail it to the Missouri treasury.

I think this is interesting due to the fact that they have been so slow with my unemployment claims that I've been forced to spend many times more than that $1 in credit card interest to keep myself afloat. But, would I ever be able to claim that? No. But just let me forget to send in my $1 to them, and see what happens to me.
