Happy birthday, luckster or late birthday as may be the case. I'd have sent congrats sooner, but an army of holy lawn gnomes delayed me with their incessant lawn gnominess. You're a great person and deserve every bit of fun that comes this way and you're the only member of Heaven's Forces that I so far have good things to say about. Thanks for taking such good care of my minion and I'm really rooting for the whole eternal happiness thing for both of you. I think you can pull it off.

I send you all my love and support your way on this momentous day and hope it was all fun and loverly and stuff and I send my effort to make the rest of your days joyous as well. Live well, luckster and enjoy. And if you ever need a favor, I am more than willing to help you out.

I wish it didn't have to be this way, but my birthday falls right smack dab in the middle of the last week of classes. Next week is final exams and sadly, I'm swamped with studying for finals.

One thing I will say, though, is that this birthday was pretty different. I won't say if it was good or bad, but the only three redeeming qualities of the day were: *vella singing to me over the phone (she has an incredible voice, in case you didn't know), *e-cards and your wishes in this thread, and the simplest card from my daughter (my Mom took her to get it but still...) that reads - "To the Mom who taught me it was OK to color outside the lines! Happy Birthday, Mom."



It's hard enough to be so far away from vella & the kids on my birthday (though they made it special in so many ways even over the distance), but it would've been even more lonely without all of your kind sentiments.

I woke up with a beautiful song in my ear and my girl still loving me, so yes, it was everything I could've wanted. Unless, of course, she'd been beside me in bed. THAT would have been perfection, but I'll get that gift in just a few weeks and all will be right with my world.
