Latest vase, this one has a bit of a different arched top to it, not really intended but more of a happy accident that pushed my into exploration

another just complete project, an Alaskan Dog

don't even ask how hard this was, nothing but nonstop back and forth zigzag cuts. I was ready to scream after a few hours of this.

and another... an old fashhioned mug, made from a downed tree. Has some nice grains to it, this was earlier today, then preceeded to give it some dark stain which really sets off the rough texture. Might leave the next one in natural color, cause it really was nice...

I must have hit the magic age when I lose all energy.. ha ha

That dog was so much work, but it came nice. nice time I make it out of hardwood though.

the mug is a rescued log, I would like to make more in the future. I will post another pic of it whan the finish is complete in a few days

Just finished this AM, a small rocking chair for a friend who just had a baby. Not like a newborn can actually hold himself up in a chair much less rock in it, but good for a stuffed animal!

Yes, more work than I expected of course, but it came out well

more work on the mug. a darker stain to bring out the texture a bit more

now I just need to give it more of a shine

This was a bunch of work but it did come out well. Maybe I will make more and try to sell some
