Harris for President

I doubt she lost many fans by her, “I love my black job” comment. What I think it has done if anything is cause her fans to google “I love my black job” and “Black jobs” eventually finding Trump’s comments at the Black Journalist Conference, inspiring them to have an opinion about Trump and perhaps inspiring them to ensure such an Ahole is never their president. Even if they never had a previous interest in politics or their only interest in politics is to silence Trump.

That “black jobs” comment originated at the debate that President Biden was pilloried for, while the rapey, racist, misogynistic, corrupt orange traitor / convict, DonOld Trump, was given a free pass by the corporate media, etc - despite making that racist “black jobs” comment, telling a LIE every 90 seconds, and FAILING to even answer the questions posed by the moderators.

I just think that it was unfortunate timing. Simone was in a unique position to perhaps heal the divisiveness in your country in a small way. She is aware that at least half of Americans support President Trump. That's the problem we face right now and we aren't dealing with it well. Not matter which side you're on, half of the people are on the other side. You can't marginalize half the population.
You miss the point that anyone in America can express an opinion. How you interpret that is up to you. It appears you believe she should not have spoken up on the matter as it might have seemed divisive to half of America or those Trump supporters as you denoted them as being. If that is half, then what effect did it have on the other half? You didn't address that. Is the glass half full of promise, or is it half empty? You looked at it as half empty premise, the distracted point of view.

What would you consider a comment should have been from her regarding healing divisiveness?

It's important to remember that America is a land known for open expression. You've voiced your opinion, and Simone has done the same. Both carry equal weight, and it's this diversity of thought that, when expressed respectfully, can lead to a more comprehensive understanding.

No, I didn't miss the point. Free expression is one of the reasons America is great. Are we at the point where we are settling for half a glass? It seems it, and I think that's bad. I think being an Olympic Athlete is an incredible honor, and as a representative of America on the world stage, carries a lot of responsibility. As talented as Biles is, her country certainly played a roll in her achieving elite status as a gymnast. I trust she knew that she made all Americans proud. I question the wisdom of making a political statement on foreign soil.We now alienate and demonize Americans who have values different from our own to our detriment as a society. In my personal and professional life I interact with far more people that do not share the same values as me. But, I respect them as individuals and I treat everyone the way I would want to be treated. No one I interact with know's my political position. I am not ashamed, but politics don't define me no govern the way I interact with others.Like three quarters of Americans, I believe that the current administration is leading America in the wrong direction, so I support politicians whom I think will bring about change.

You question why she exercised her right as an American to do what makes America great

An irate Donald Trump has pointed the finger at the 'school administration' for the swathes of empty seats that greeted him at his Atlanta rally. The former president drew a noticeably smaller crowd than Vice President Kamala Harris did in the pivotal state of Georgia just days earlier,

I listened to his rant ten minutes before turning off the television. Besides declaring there were thousands outside who were not let in to hear him, he denigrated low-IQ Biden and low-IQ Harris and also put in a nickel's worth of hatred about how he freed more prisoners without paying money.

The people behind him had that wandering-eyed look of people in church pews praying for the sermon to end quickly.

Poor weird 86-year-old convicted felon had a bad day.

Biden/Harris is sending American troops to the Middle East. Speaking of Low-IQ, that has always worked out well. How was Biden/Harris' day?

If WeirdOld got upset when Kam 'became Black', what will he do when she becomes President?

Just Dumb is a guy who wears eye-liner.

say her name! Say it right!

Vice President Kamala Harris could become the most powerful person in the world, if she wins the presidential election in November. Despite the fact she has been in public life for years and explained how to pronounce her first name, many people still get it wrong.
the correct way to say Kamala is, in fact, Comma-La.

Kamala is a common and popular female name in India, from where Harris’s mother, Shyamala Gopalan immigrated to the United States. It means “lotus” in Sanskrit and the flower holds deep symbolism in Indian culture, representing purity and beauty.

i have to admit i was mispronouncing it as CAR-mah-La 😳

her middle name, Devi, is pronounced DAY-vee and means 'goddess'

but let's face it, surely no-one will mispronounce "Madame President," right? 👏
