yeah, more than once. but it's never been what i'm cooking. the worst was a dish towel and it almost got ugly fast.
not in a long time. there are many better uses of rain. for example, soft spring rains are perfectly made for porch sitting with a bourbon and a cigar.

One time....it turned out OK.....it was a dessert from the old Julia Child show....

Oh no, why made you remember me that? I thought I had succeeded in forgetting, or at least in pushing it to very back of my head. I don't mind people not being gourmet chefs; actually I love people not being gourmet chefs. I prefer the company of people who serve the same dessert almost every time because he/she 'knows' that dessert and is completely at ease and happy to entertain above people who serve something inedible because they want to be hip.
HYE made this same mistake yourself?

Oh no...I never try something "new" with guests....if I have people over, they get something even I can't screw up. Homemade mac and cheese is fav of mine...as is manicotti...and I make a killer 7 layer dip...plus I am pretty good at making Pepsi Slushes while in the bottle....lol..
HYE gone to a restaurant and had something so good that you tried getting the same thing at other restaurants to see if anyone else's could compare?
