Jason doesn't want everything. Or anything. He's content with his simple, austere, nearly solitary life in the country and isn't comfortable at all with the prospect of total change before him.

He liquidates the entire estate, selling off all properties and assets, stashes what money he thinks he'll need for the next 50 or so years, donates the rest to various charities, sends the Concubines on their way and returns to his former lifestyle knowing he'll never need to work again.

Instead of a "get", it could be the old man's dying wish. "It is my hope that my wife Bambi and my son Jason live together in the mansion where they can best take care of one another and get through their grief (or Jason's shock) as they transition into a new life without me."


Then, the ex's eyeball the pair, knowing just how large that mansion is, it's many spare bedroom's and the pool/jacuzzi in the backyard.

I like the premise - and three is an optimal number for storytelling. It is also remarkably similar to a story in Greek mythology.
How about each woman offers him something entirely different - almost like the three competing Greek goddesses offering prizes to Paris to name them the fairest of the goddesses: 1) Hera promised power - perhaps political ambitions, 2) Athena offered wisdom and skill in war - which in today's climate might be business savvy, 3) Aphrodite tempted him with the most beautiful mortal woman - Helen of Sparta.
Rather than make the ex-wives the (sexual) prize, have the ex-wives offer him a prize distinct from themselves.

So, the first two wives are more than just trophy wives. They bring something to the table besides big tits. This would make them successful in their own right and liable be less upset about losing the old man's cash. What is to keep them in the young man's household?

I am always amused by the fact that "bambi" is roughly Italian for "babe". (The Italian word is "bambino".) Makes sense for the (male) fawn in the movie, but if you know that, it sounds absurd for the mature stag later.
