Is anybody else having a problem when you open a pic in a new wind/tab that its labeled x.jpg.jpeg? I have to then save to my HD rename and view....

ohh my main browser is NS 7

I'm having a problem too. Normally the pic opens in a new window. Now I'm being prompted to select the application I want to open it with? Mozilla Firebird user.

Hook848, your problem is different than Blaveks
You need to install User Agent Switcher
Install that and it will be in your tools menu. Most sites you need to do nothing with it, but if a site like this changes and asks you all the time, go up and set it to IE6.

This site never used to have to require it, but for some odd reason, within the past few days, some setting somewhere has been changed, and it is now needed....At least sometimes, for me at least. Sometimes I come here and I don't need to change it from default, other times I need to set it to IE6.
I'm using Firefox 0.8

lol its ok you bumped it so maybe somebody else could see it and try to help me... It requires that I DL it like NS doesn't reckognize jpeg as jpg

its stilll doing it its a pain

I didn't realize you were asking this question when I started one called "Irritating problem and mystery" I also use NS7.x and am having the same difficulty. Can't stand IE with its Pop-Ups and other security problems. would rather forgo the pleasure here at Lit than resort to it.
ANY help would be appreciated.

Yeah I feel very similarly... we need to attract some moderator attention maybe they can connect with some server maintence/issue people and get a definative answer. It appears that a PHP script has gone mad... lol

Have you considered just going and trying Mozilla , or even better yet, Firefox a shot at being your browser? They both are such sweeeet browsers, and both are based on the nuts and bolts of netscape anyway.

Give them a shot, you won't be sorry

OK there's a good question how do we contact someone on lit?

well NS is built from mozilla... but the feature I like the most about NS7 is the tab mechanism that allows you to have a bunch of seperate windows under one actual window and it doesn't have the messy multi file interface like word or vcpp

Firefox also has tabbed browsing. That's also one of my main attractions to it.

To get ahold of the big dogs here, I believe just hit the "contact us" button at the bottom of each page. That should send you to the webmaster according to what the cursor hover says.

Thanks you have been very helpful I am going to look into firefox if the DL is too big it may not be an issue as I run from what equates to a 28.8 connection. I will also try to get some dev attention.

Another big plus you may be interested in about with Firefox is it's ability to add a ton of Extensions
They are what make this browser so nice cause you can customize it so much to your own liking, But one that I really like is.......Pornzilla , So after you download and install Firefox, add the bookmark toolbar and then add some of these "bookmarklets" I personally only use the url increment up and down one, and it really comes in handy when you come across an open directory like This ....Alls you have to do is click on the first pic and then the "Up" button and it goes......very cool

Thats some hot stuff... After tommorow i'll do some research... Semester ends for me tommorrow so I will keep you informed.
