Help with email

This past summer I deleted several email accounts I created for various reasons years ago and one of them was used to set up this account. Now that I have posted a story I can see people have sent me messages or feedback. I assume they went to that deleted email address because I can’t find them anywhere. I submitted a help ticket to change my email but haven’t had a response. I tried to change my email on my account to no avail. I have many ideas for more stories. Should I just make another account, with a working email address, and post all future stories from there?
 
As far as I know, you won't get a notification in your control panel that someone has sent you an email. You only see when they've commented or favourited a story.
 
Yes, you should use an email which works.

Not least because what if you have to reset your Lit password some day

Where do you see these notifications? If they're by PM you'll only get the red bell icon top of this page. If it's through Feedback, you'll only get a message in your email in box. I'm not aware of any other notifications.
