How do you feel about readers wanting to email with you?

I've had a few emails over the years, but I can't respond to them as the email has my name on it. It's a shame, as some of the conversations would have been fun. I even got my first bit of fan mail, which was lovely!

My stories have some specific kinks that only a few people really connect with, I’ve invited readers to reach me on the forum, a few have.. A few have been gushing about their favorite parts and asking if I want to hear about their own experiences.

I’ve received a few reader emails but I’ve never responded to one simply because I want to keep everything Lit on Lit.

I have interacted with readers and some other forum kinksters through private messages and a couple on chat.

I understand if it’s not your thing but I’ve had some fun with fans.🥰

In five years I've had only two e-mail contacts, both okay. First one was basically lambasting me over inconsistent tense in my first LitE story, but it was pleasant enough, and we discovered that we were practically neighbors. He was poly; it generated a couple of exchanges bemoaning the area's vanishing opportunities for late-night adult play.

Second was recent, a fan requesting more frequent development of a character. Two nice exchanges.

There were some mildly bothersome contacts in PM three or four years ago, supposedly from a F who wanted to sext if not hookup. Sketchy as heck, so straight into the dustbin without reply.

Anyone who comments on or favorites one of my stories or favorites me gets a feedback communication that includes my Lit-specific email. I thank them and ask them a question (what made this story worth your action). Anyone who responds gets added to my email list. I sometimes share drafts with them or artwork that inspires or adds to my stories or material I'm not going to publish.

That's pretty much the limit. I'm obviously a straight, white-male so I don't get a lot of sext requests.

I got an email from someone who said she loved my story. Thats all good, but then she started asking me to go to other sites to chat about my story. Very weird. Or she started asking probing questions about how writing those scenes make me feel. As if she wanted to start some sort of roleplay with me, at least thats the impression I got

very rarely received unsolicited email from Lit. Most email feedback for me has been from other authors/acquaintances that I already knew, at least in the limited way you can know someone from the forums or a 20 minute conversation at a book signing.

Like @lovecraft68 (I've always wondered about the 68, btw), I'll answer anyone that reaches out. I've had email conversations with a very few about my stories and a few other things. Anything that even hints at something untoward gets ignored.

And so you know, I will not meet you and my avatar is not me. My fairy wings are much more elaborate and my boobs are a little smaller. 🤭
I just saw this.

The 68 is-sighs-the year I was born.

This is my fault because there's a story behind the name. I first began writing erotica in 2008, first thing was more a scene that a story. My wife and I were, and still are, into role playing, we'd do one every weekend. She was away for work one weekend and I had this great idea and didn't want to lose the characters so on a whim I opened a word doc and wrote this conversation between them, just words. Then I was like hmm and I hgave them physical descriptions somewhat based on my wife and I, then out of nowhere I wrote a sex scene and a little 'aftermath' talk.

Showed it to my wife when she came back, and she said "I love it, what happens next?" My answer was "I don't know." she said "I want to know, get on that."

I wrote another scene, then more and other characters, short stories in a bunch of different kinks. My wife liked reading erotica before I started doing it and found lit end of that year. She told me I should post there that "You won't be any worse than some of what's on there"

I hedged and hedged, and she told me if I did not set up an account she would do it for me, so she did. She knows I'm a big HPL fan and tossed my birthyear at the end to tweak me. I still didn't post any stories, and in 2010, she took the first story I'd written and uploaded it as a "present' because by that time she knew I wanted to, but for whatever reason couldn't pull the trigger.

So, not only is that how the 68 got in my name, but everyone here can be mad at my wife for me being here at all.

That's also not me in the AV, my nose isn't that long, and I have more gray these days.
