Her Guitar Hero: Closed Thread

She shrugged. “I’m not any song writing authority, but one of my favorites is Agony By Design. I mean, I listen to it all the time and it’s about relationships.” She smiled at him. “Maybe you should write what you feel instead of trying to cater to everyone.” She blushed as she looked at him, his handsome face illuminated by the lights from the dash. “You’re a good writer, don’t sell yourself short.”

She glanced out the window at the familiar neighborhood. She was a little surprised when they turned down Oakdale Avenue. “Do you still live with your parents?” She asked as they neared his parents suburban home. Cleary wasn’t a huge town, so to know where his parents lived didn’t exactly put her on stalker terms. The fact that her own parents lived three blocks down helped to. They had rode the same bus and had many of the same classes together all through school.

Zac looked surprised, "You actually listen to my music?" he said blushing. He felt absolutely amazed. Here was someone, a girl no less who actually liked and admired his music. "Thank you." he stammered, "Th that's just wow." he said as she told him how good a writer he thought her. He rode in silence just blushing, he couldn't find the words to express what she'd made him feel, how special, how important.

He was fortunately saved from the awkwardness by her voice asking him if he lived with his parents still. "Uh, no, I live in an appartment, but I, uh, we, that is the guys and me still practice in my dad and step mom's basement. I still think of this as my house." he said as he pulled into the drive of the ranch style house. The drive was long and nicely paved, and even seemed swept clear of leaves, and growing grass from the cracks. "Dad's a little anal about the yard." he said waving his hand at it, although it was dark so she probably couldn't see the perfectness of the drive or the manicured lawn. But it was a statement that Zac obviously made out of habbit, to explain the nature of the yard. "Dad complains that Kari puts him up to it, but... I think he's just obsessive about it as she is." he said with a small laugh, almost babbling to avoide the silence.

“Yeah, my dad is the same.” Kira gave him a reassuring smile, knowing that her father had manicured the lawn in the same manner. She remembered being forced to help him maintain that perfect yard. She hated it, she would much rather have curled up with a good book than pick up a rake any day of the week.

She watched as the house came into view, feeling the familiar warm swell attach her chest. It was just how she remembered it, the same color scheme, the same bushes lining the front wall. She smiled, wondering which room was his childhood bedroom, wondering how many nights he might have snuck out to see a girl or just go and jam with the band? How many times had he done this very same thing, the rest of the band go out and party and he came home and unloaded the truck. Although he tried to play the rock star, Zac never really was.

Zac pulled into park in the drive taking his father's parking space as he backed the truck in. His parents were out of town, "Parents went down to the lake." he said remembering before she could ask where his parents were. "Dad said something about wanting to do some fishing, and mom wanted to plant some more flowers." he said, "They bought a house on the lake with my grandparents a couple years ago." he added as he hopped out of the truck, moving to the back and opening the truck grabbing his guitar case, heading to the front door along the sidewalk. He produced the key and unlocked the door easing his guitar inside as he flipped on some lights. The house was clean, but quiet. He started towards the stairs assuming that Kira was following him. "Don't hit the walls or Kari will lose it, she really is anal about the inside of this house... I like to leave shoes and shit laying around just to piss her off." he said throwing a smirk over his shoulder.

He emerged into a large finished basement, half of which looked like a rec room with TV and couches and even a pool table, while the other half seemed to be their little studio/practice area. Zac moved to the wall, laying the guitar against the wall before waving at the expance, "Just set it where ever you can." he said to Kira indicating the bass she was carying.

Looking around she took in every detail she could. She mentally slapped herself, ‘What next dummy, going to find his hairbrush and steal a few locks of hair?’ She smiled as she nodded and placed the bass down in the corner. “Soundproof or are your parents just really tolerant?” She asked. Her dad had never been one for music. She had always been more of a writer when it came to creative expression. Her father probably would have hit the roof had she ever suggested he convert their basement into a sound stage. “So how often do you guys come here and practice?” She asked as they returned to the truck.

"There's some sound proofing." he said with a small smile, "Kari made dad put some in after one too many run throughs of crazy train while she tried to take a nap." he said. "God she wanted to skin me for that." he said smiling.

He considered her next question, "We practice a lot, not always here, but here's where we come to do much of our writing and such, its the place we feel safest to let out our creativeness if you know what I mean." he said shrugging, "Guess everyone's got somewhere they're comfortable with." he offered. He walked back up the stairs, but rather than heading immediately for the truck he headed instead for the kitchen, flipping on the light he revealed the huge space. "Not sure what Kari needs all this space for, she rarely cooks anymore." he muttered as he walked over to the fridge producing a jug of lemonade. He waved it at Kari, "Interested?" he asked, "I promise I haven't roofied it or anything." he teased.

She rolled her eyes, thinking to herself, ‘Like you’d have to give me anything to sleep with you.’ She nodded and took a seat at the bar, looking around the neat kitchen. There was a place for everything and everything was in its place. “Is Kari your stepmother?” She asked taking a sip of the lemonade. She had never known much about his family. When you were in love with someone at a young age they were you’re fixation, not their family.

Her parents had been married now going on 35 years and although the majority of those years had been happy ones; there had still been some rocky times. She knew not everyone had fair tale lives and she had never expected such. She would have been happy to have one guy to go to bed with every night at this point in her life. Hell, at this point in her life a warm body in her bed aside from her cat would be an improvement. Although, Indy was great in bed, he could sleep for days.

Taking another sip, she let her eyes catch his, giving him a flirtatious smile. She was not acting like herself. She was not the one to try and seduce a guy, perhaps thats why she never went on dates. Her mother told her she was a bit to outspoken to be so shy around men. She was loud, liked to have a good time and liked to be in the spotlight, these were things that often intimidated men. But she couldn’t see changing her entire personality just to try to find a man...but here she was, laying on the sex appeal...or at least trying to.

"Yeah she is." he said poring the lemonade, "Sorry forgot to specify that." he said as he slid the glass across the bar to her. "They've been maried since I was probably 9 or 10, I can't remember exactly." he said looking thoughtful.

Instead of taking the stool beside her he stood across from her leaning on the bar slightly as he took a long draft of his lemonade. He smiled back a bit shyly at her smile. Zac felt awkward and totally out of his element, he rarely if ever had a girl alone in his house, what was going to happen now? Was he about to have a one night stand with a girl from his high school? What was going on. Did he even want such a thing. "How long is your hair now?" he asked abruptely after staring at her for a few moments, gesturing at her hair which she had done up, probably because it was warm out, and the bar had been pretty hot. He then blushed, what in the world had possessed him to ask such a thing. "I mean, that was a dumb question." he said blushing, "I was just curious, because I remember when it was almost to your waist, and it used to fly back and hit me in pre-Algebra if you turned in your seat." he said, surprised that he remembered it so clearly.

Without thinking about it, she pulled the elastic band from her hair, combing her fingers through it as she did so. Her hair, red waves spilled over her shoulders and came just to the tops of her breasts. It was thick and heavy, the reason she wore it up most of the time, but truth was, she preferred it down, it looked better. She shook it, letting the tangles fall free. “Yeah, my mom went through this weird religious phase back then. She wouldn’t let me cut my hair. I totally rebelled in high school, hence the super short look and the bad dye job.”

There was an awkward moment of silence. She didn’t know what to do or what to say. She was really out of her realm. She had a feeling Zac was as well. He had lots of friends who were girls in high school, but not girl friends. Was the same still true? Did he still not have girl friends? She found it hard to believe, but it was possible. Part of her wanted to get up, cross the space between them and kiss him, let him feel what he had missed out in high school. But the more reserved part decided to stay put and sip her lemonade.

he smiled watching how the red waves fell around her face and brushed the tops of her breasts. He had steadfastly avoided looking there, despite the fact that her blouse left quite a bit exposed. But out of respect he had kept his eyes to themselves, but as he folowed the waves of the hair his eyes were drawn there and it was a long heartbeat before he flicked his gaze back up to meet hers, his cheaks noticeably redder than they had been. "Yeah, we all have that rebelious time I guess." he said lamely.

He felt so out of his league. He didn't know what to do or say. He wished to god he had more experience. She had to be much more experience than him, she was too pretty not to. She didn't seem slutty or anything, she just gave this vibe that she wasn't a virgin. Zac worked hard to give off the experienced vibe too, although, it was harder for he was in fact a virgin. "Thanks for letting me see your hair, you didn't need to." he stammered. "It loooks very soft, you must take good care of it." he commented drawing on anything he could say.

Kira smiled running her fingers through her hair. "I try, a lot better care of it than I took back then." She rose slowly, crossing the gap between them. Her mind, the part of her that housed all her inhabitions, all the reservations, every part of her that had ever made her think twice started screaming at her. She ignored it, this was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities, one of those things that if you didn't jump on you spent your entire life regreting.

She had enough regret, she had enough what if's and what could have been to last her for a lifetime. Kira wanted this moment, this time, even if it lead to nothing, even if this was the last time she would ever be this close to Zac Jackson...this was a memory she wanted. This was a time she wanted.

She stood beside him, looking down at him. Taking his hand she bent slightly bringing her face closer to his as she slid his hand, his long sinewy finger into her hair. "If you think it looks soft..." she said softly, her eyes meeting his, she was a heartbeat away from everything she ever wanted.

Zac had sat down on on a stool he had pulled around to face her as they spoke, and was surprised as she came towards him. She took his longfingered hand in hers. Hers were smaller than his but seemed strong, with slender feminine fingers, almost delicate. Her touch was soft, her skin obviously well taken care of too, although he didn't mention this still embarrassed at his earlier comment.

And then he was touching it, her hair was as soft as he had dreamed. His palm slid passed her cheak as it slid through her hair. She hadn't turned letting him comb through her hair that way, but rather had taken his hand and guided him to touch her hair as a lover might. He stood up slowly, extremely conscious that seated his face was in line with her full breasts, which rose and fell with her breathing. He stroked through her hair. "Its so soft." he whispered looking down at her now into her eyes.

They seemed frozen in time as he touched her, "No one has ever really let me play with their hair." he said. For an instant he had this image of gripping that hair in his hands tugging on it as he kissed her passionately, but he wasn't like that. It was just something he'd seen in a film some time. He blushed a little as they stood there locked in this moment with his hand slowly stroking through her hair. "Mine's not quite this soft." he commented finally as a way to break the silence, "It almost was when it was longer, but not now." he said chuckling. He wished he knew what was happening, what he should do, he wished he had more experience in such things.

Kira looked up at him, he was almost a head taller than her in her high heeled boots. She was trembling slightly, containing herself was becoming harder and harder by the ticking of the clock. She reached up, caressing his cheek, then down to the curve of his neck. She could feel the rapid beat of his pulse just under his lightly bronzed skin.

Her own heart was beating out of control, her breath was a bit more shallow than normal. "I remember." she said in a half whisper. His hair had been so beautiful back then, she had actually been jealous. She hated short hair, although she would never have told her mother that. She envied the girls who had been allowed to do with their hair as they pleased. But Zac's hair was like chocolate silk, resting on his shoulders in this wave of shiny splendor.

Rising on the tips of her toes, she leaned into him, their breath mingling in an intimate dance. Her heart skipped a beat as her lips met his, barely touching at first. Her breath caught in the instant that she pulled him closer, letting her soft full lips conform to his, to hold him against her, letting the moment stand in time.

He was surprised when she touched the side of his neck, and face. But he verymuch enjoyed the feeling. Her hand was soft and made him shiver slightly goosebumps raising on his arms as she leaned up so close to kissing him.

that moment stretched out the tension in the air palpable. Then she kissed him and he was so startled he almost pulled away. Fortunately he didn't never wanting the kiss to end, especially as she leaned in closer, her full breasts pressing to his chest as her lips, softer than anyone else he'd ever kissed, pressing to his. He wasn't very experienced but he had at least kissed. His eyes closed after a moment as he lost himself in that kiss his other hand sliding to her waist to help steady her where she stood leaned against him, the other moving through her hair to rest at the back of her neck lightly rubbing and tracing her skin.

A soft sound of pleasure slid from the back of her throat as his hand came to rest on her at her waist. Her own arm encircled his back pulling him closer to her, she could feel his heart beating along with hers, the breath she took was his and the breath she gave was hers. She could have happily died in that moment, the wash of emotions made her light headed as she moved the hand at the back of his neck up into his hair, cupping the back of his head. Her lips moved softly against his, pulling his lower lip between hers, suckling softly.

He returned her kiss, before slowly pulling to gasp for breath blushing. He did not pull back far, still realished the feel of her close to him. He was blushing furiously and didn't know what to say, if anything. Fearing anything he might say would ruine the mood he just moved both arms around her waist holding her against him. It felt so nice to have her there in his arms. She seemed to fit there so well, better than any other had. he let his lips brush hers softly again, not wanting her to think he pulled back because he disliked the kiss or kissing her but just he was shy and he needed to catch his breath. "Hi." he finally whispered breaking the sexually charged silence blushing. And then kicked himself, why had he said anything? He wondered if he'd now ruined everything by saying anything.

She laughed shyly, her eyes opening meeting his, "Hi, yourself." she said softly. It felt wonderful to be in his arms after so much time of wanting it, needing it so much. She laid her forehead against his shoulder, closing her eyes inhaling the scent of his fabric softener and detergent from his tee shirt. She kissed his shoulder lightly through his clothing, her hands moving up under his shirt, across the bare skin of his back.

He shivered slightly at her touch. Her hands felt good on his skin. He tried to relax under her touch, He was so nervous. His hand came up to stroke her hair holding her head to him. He missed feeling like this. He had held a woman before but never at great length. It alone was very exciting and hoped he wasn't embarrassing himself by seeming too excited. He hoped she couldn't feel it he didn't dare move, for he knew he was hard. Just her kiss, her touch was exciting him so much. "Thank you." he said finally, not even knowing why he did. For the kiss for the hug, he didn't know for what he was thanking her, maybe everything.

"Thank you." she said as she held him pressed close to her, the feel of his hand in her hair sending sparks through her. "I'm not usually this forward." she admitted quietly, more to herself than to him. She was blushing, although he couldn't see her face. She was never this forward, but it was nice to be in the driver seat for once. She liked the feeling of being the one in control, the one who jumped first. And it was apparent he liked her, at least, at least found her somewhat appealing, she could feel the hard evidence now pressed against her lower belly.

He pushed her back slightly, "What are you thanking me fore?" he asked tilting up her chin exposing her blushing face to his searching gaze. "You're sweet." he said to her words about being forward, "I... liked the kiss." he said softly, I mean." He blushed embarrassed, "I like feeling you pressed against me too." and wished he could sensor his words but they spilled out. "I think you're very pretty." and he grabbed his lemonade and took a drink to shut himself up before he said too much and ruined the moment. He wished he didn't feel quite so awkward. It did feel right in her arms, less awkward than he had expected but he was still so uncertain, afraid of screwing up.

Kira smiled at Zac her voice soft as she spoke. "Thanks, I like kissing you too." She took a step back, giving him a little space. "Maybe you should show me the rest of your parents house." she said, a gleam in her green eyes. "You know, the living room, the bathroom, your bedroom." She slid her hand into his as she pulled him out of the kitchen.

He blushed at her words, the words "Your bed room." evoking tons of images in his head. He blushed furiously but lead her through the kitchen into the living room flicking on lights as he went, pointing out the TV and various other things. There was a large fireplace built into one wall. There were pictures up on the mantle, pictures of his smiling family. "My sister lives with my mother." he said to explain the fact that there were pictures of a younger girl, but he had never mentioned a sister before. "I don't see her very often." he said as he lead her through the decritive doors into the hall. "This leads to the bedrooms, the bathroom is to the left, mine is to the right, my parents is straight ahead and down further." he explained walking to his door and opening it flicking on the light. His room still managed to be cluttered despite the fact that he rarely stayed here anymore. His posters from high school were still up on his wall. "This is my room." he said a bit awkwardly stepping into the room so she could stand in the doorway and see it all.

The room had a desk against one wall, and the foot of the double bed was directly to the right of the door. With a small night stand up by the head of the bed, and his dresser directly across the way.

Kira stepped into his bedroom, surprised that it was pretty much the way she had imagined it. She had dreamed of this place for years, all through middle and high school. And, on occasion, when her fantasy would be them younger she would imagine this place as well. Sometimes she had opened the window and crossed the sash, curled into bed beside him. Hundreds of hours of fantasy now flickered behind her eyes as she looked slowly around the room, looking at his posters of rock bands.

She moved to the bed sitting on the edge, bouncing playfully up and down. "Comfy." she said as she smiled at him, her hands on either side of her. She tried to hide her nervousness, tried to exude sexual prowess, but she was sure she was failing. She wasn't a virgin by any stretch of the imagination, that boat had sailed in college. But she hadn't been easy either, she hadn't been with a lot of guys, not that she was saving herself for marriage. But she was not a wham, bam, thank you ma'am kinda girl.

Zac stood awkwardly in the doorway. He nodded to her comment. ""Yes it is comfortable, I miss it when I'm in my appartment, the bed there isn't nearly that comfortable." he said. He crossed in front of her and sat down on the edge of the bed beside her although not too close. He was totally out of his element here. What did she want to happen. This was one of those times he wished that he could read minds. He knew he should go unload the truck, finishing taking everything inside, but if he blew this he might not get the chance again. This potentially could be worth having an amp get stolen.

Kira placed her hand on his thigh, touching him gently. "I used to have this huge ass crush on you in school." she said quietly, embarrassed at her own admission. She looked up into his eyes, melting into them. She leaned forward, slowly closing the distance between them, her hand lifting to gently caress his cheek once more as she touched his skin. Her lips touched his as she drew a breath. Her eyes closed in that second as the culmination of so many years of desire pulsed through her veins. She wanted to feel him beside her, inside her. Wanted his bare skin on hers worse than she had ever wanted anything in her life. Would this be it? Would she finally have what she had wanted for so many years?
