Dominic Roman
Age: 31

6'2"
190 lbs
blonde hair
blue eyes
physically fit

Bio: Currently Security for hire, ex-military (how else would he have learned what he knows now? ), former US Marshal (he was let go after an assignment failed which he was partnered with Jenna Landon)

Roman laid low now because he was persona non grata in the security community. His security work now was normally outside the legal bounds in most of the places that he worked. He also did not come cheap. His minimum retainer was $100,000.00, and that just got him to the meeting. Why so expensive? he is that good. It was well known in the right circles that his only failure was a case that was sabotaged from the inside. He was convinced that it was Jenna who had set him up.

Jenna Landon
Age: 30
Occupation: FBI Agent

Wow, when Dominic didn't want to be found, he didn't want to be found.

Jenna huffed and crossed her arms under her breasts as she leaned against the bar counter top. She had made arrangements to meet Dominic about an hour ago and he still hadn't showed up. But, deep down, she knew he was around, watching and waiting.

Damnit, this couldn't be a failure. This mission....this mission she needed Dominic's help. And she wouldn't take no for an answer.

And if it was money he wanted, he would be getting it. Thanks mostly to her father...a person that didn't like the way this had to be played but went along with it for his daughter's sake... for safety's sake.

Waving the bartender away when he tried to fill up the glass with more club soda, Jenna decided Dom wasn't going to show...at least not yet.

When people contacted him and told him that Jenna wanted to get in touch with him, he was hesitant to respond. She had already burned him once...big time. He was convinced that it was her. If she wanted to meet, Dom was convinced that she was going to try to get him again. Dom didn't make friends, but when people needed something done, they came to him. Maybe the government was pissed about something he had done.

Dom watched Jenna from across the bar. He was a master of disguise and undercover work. Here was no way she would recognize him. He called a waitress over and handed her a note and had her give it to Jenna. It said "go to Four Seasons Hotel. They have key at desk for you. 15 minutes."

Dom moved his location in case the waitress wanted to point out who gave him he note. He picked a place where he could watch Jenna and see if she made eye contact with anyone. He couldn't and wouldn't trust her.

"go to Four Seasons Hotel. They have key at desk for you. 15 minutes."

Jenna held in a curse and kept her expression neutral as she read the note. Damn him!

With a sigh held in, she tossed a $20 on the bar and stood up. She turned to leave the bar. It took a lot not to curse outloud but she didn't want to look like she had turrets or something...

**Later**
God, she was tired and in pain. The past 48 hours were a complete blur and seemed like it was years ago, but as it was, too much time had pass. She was on a deadline and didn't have time to play Dom's games of meeting here and there.

The key was to the 12th floor, penthouse. Figured. Always the best for him, no matter what.

Jenna entered the room, expecting to come face to face with at least 12 men with guns all pointed at her. But no, it was dim... there was someone here with her...

"Dominic?" She said, quietly.

Dom followed Jenna out of the bar..... making sure that she didn't make contact with anyone. He watched her get in a cab and then he followed the cab. He wouldn't put it past them to have an agent in a cab ready to take her anywhere she needed to go. He watched her get out of the cab as he pulled the car into the valet parking.

He watched Jenna walk up to the counter, get the key, and then head to the elevator. She didn't make contact with anyone. Dom got on the express elevator and went up to the penthouse. He turned one light on in the foyer, and stood in the dark awaiting her arrival. He watched her step into the room and call his name.

From the dark, he said, "Okay, you have your meeting. Make it quick. If I think you are setting me up again, I will kill you right where you stand."

"Dominic.." she started. She knew he was serious.

She knew he was still mad at her.

She knew he didn't trust her.

And the thing was, she didn't blame him one bit. "I need your help Dominic." She said. There was no time for theatrics. No time to play him or make him think she was playing him.

"I know you got some of the story about what's going on. Dom..." She pulled out her phone carefully when she saw him flinch and reach for his gun... she moved slower and turned it on, bringing up a picture of a little boy, about 18 months old, smiling at the camera. Jenna felt a stab of pain in her heart but kept her expression neutral, "This little boy... he needs our help." she said, showing him the picture.

Dominic watched Jenna closely. He had been betrayed by her once....it was not going to happen again.

"Oh, this is interesting. You need my help, so, you come looking for the person that you betrayed. Why should I help you?"

He looked at the picture on her phone. It was of a young boy. He was sure the kid was less than two years old. He looked back at Jenna, then at the picture of the kid again.

" who is the kid and why does he need my help? What does this have to do with me? Why should I trust you? Why should I believe this isn't an elaborate ruse to set me up....AGAIN?"

"Oh my God Dominic! Get over yourself!" Jenna yelled, matching his tone and his hatred. "You would have done the same thing for the job back then, admit it!!!" God, it hurt to yell.

She angrily yanked the phone from his grasp and put it back in her pocket. "I'm asking for your help because there is no one else to help me get my son back!"

Our son. She wanted to say, but with as mad as he was, she wasn't sure how he would take it.

"No. That is where you are wrong. My loyalty was to you first...then the job. I would have done anything to protect you.....ANYTHING. You on the other hand cared more about the fucking shitty job."

He was shocked when she said it was her kid. He had no idea she had been pregnant. Once she betrayed him, he had wiped her from his mind. He wanted nothing to do with her. Hearing that she had a kid said something to him. She probably had been pregnant when she betrayed him and it was her way of protecting her unborn child.

"How do I know it is your kid and not some picture you are using to try to get me involved in something that will be my downfall? You have done nothing to earn my trust. I should just send you packing... or I should just ......"

Damnit... he was right. At the beginning, she did care about the job. What did he expect? It was harder for a female in law enforcement than it was for men. She wanted to prove herself... especially toward her father, who was against it all from the beginning.

Then she met Dominic.

Her assignment was to get close to him, find out if it was him selling secrets of witness' locations to the 'bad guy', so to speak. Of course it wasn't but it was those that were under him and with that, she had no choice but to bring down his whole department and in the end, his career.

But there were consequences of course, his hatred of her and also...their last night together...

It wasn't until the investigation was over that she realized she was pregnant with his child. Who's else could it have been? Her lack of sex before and after Dominic was just that...lack of before and after him.

There hadn't been anyone else. And in her heart, there never would be.

"You should just what? Kill me?!" She grabbed his hand and the gun it was holding and pushed it up under her chin. Looking him dead in the eye, she told him, "Do it then Dominic. But not before getting our little boy back!"

He watched her grab his hand and the gun and put it under her chin. He kept his finger off the trigger...resting on the trigger guard. He looked into her eyes, and he heard her say it.

"What the fuck are you talking about? OUR boy? What do you mean by that?" He knew they had spent the one night together.....caught up in each other. That was, however, before he realized she had betrayed him.

He pulled the gun away from her chin. " why should I believe you. The last time I saw you you were selling me out. You can't say that it was to protect your child, because, if it is really OUR son, that couldn't have happened until that last night."

"We weren't exactly careful, remember?"

Of course he would remember it. They practically ripped each other clothes off...there was no protection used on either side because well...there just wasn't...

"Think about it Dominic, please.. put your hatred aside for me, I know it's a lot to ask... after all that's happened, I'm telling you the truth..."

"They took our son from my arms Dominic...and..." she knew after this, he would believe her, "They mentioned your name and Bangladesh.."

She watched his reaction...

He thought back to that night.....the passion...the uncontrollable desire. It had been building for months and they made up for it in one night..... It was reckless and wanton.

"Bangladesh? How did they know that I was the father of the boy? Wo did you tell?" He was asking questions, but he was still not totally convinced of her story. He didn't trust her even a little bit.

"Jenna, if I find out that this is another set-up, I will find you and I will kill you....slowly. The torture will be so bad you will beg me to let you die. Don't doubt me for a second. Now. What exactly do they say they want?"

She was never one to cry like a normal female. But the tears of relief were evident in her eyes as she blinked them back.

"It doesn't take a genius to figure out who he father is, Dominic.. you were the only man I've been with in that way and well.. rumor got around at the office once I started to show.."

Jenna grimaced as she stood up, the wounds still fresh from her confrontation with those that took her son. "This is no joke Dominic... I could care less about my job right now.. there's only one thing I do care about and that's getting my son back in my arms. As for killing me..?" She shook her head, "if I don't get him back then you might as well kill me because I can't go on living with out him...it's just too painful!"

"What they want? They want you. Plain and simple. I'm not going to lie to you about that. And if means I need to deliver you, then I will." It was then she pulled her own gun out on him, her hand all but shaking, "So, yes, I'm going to betray you Dominic. If it means the life of my son, I will do what ever I have to do."

"Oh Jenna," he said with a chuckle. " did you think I would come to any meeting with you without having a backup plan? If I don't make a phone call, you will not make it out of here alive, and your kid will be without a mother."

He waited for her reaction. He didn't have any backup, but at least it would buy him a few minutes to plan his next move. He wanted to figure out what to do with her.... short of killing her.

"So, Jenna. The choice is yours."

"OK... choice..."

Jenna smiled, a wicked look in her eyes, "..you want a choice.."

She held the gun steady...still aimed at Dominic, "I choose the life of my son.. Sorry Dominic, but really, you're not worth it."

She saw him start to protest but before he could get a word out, Jenna pulled the trigger.

Dominic turned and took the bullet in the shoulder. He slid across the floor and took cover...fully anticipating another shot. The gunshot put his backup team into action. They came bursting through the door. "Do not kill her. Not yet. Take her alive."

The entry team took her down and used zip ties to bind her wrists behind her and her ankles. Then they hog tied her and gagged her before they dragged her out of the room and down the steps to the waiting van. Dominic did not go with them, but he gave orders for her not to be harmed. He was going to be the one that dealt with her....and it was going to be very, very personal.

Two shots were fired.

Jenna let out a wicked laugh as she was taken down by Dominic's goons.

She heard him call out about not hurting her...oh, Lord, if only he had said that earlier as she rounded kicked one guy, her foot connecting with his jaw, knocking him to the ground.

The butt of a rifle was shoved in her back and 3 of the 8 men grabbed her, pushing her down to the floor.

A black hood was placed over her head and tightened as she was rendered immobile.

******************
She couldn't say how much time passed as she hung from the ceiling by her wrists in the dark cell. The black hood was still on her face and a shock collar was bound tightly around her neck... she found out what it was when she tried several times to struggle against the binds on her wrists.

There was someone else in the cell with her. That much she could sense.

Dominick had the men carry Jenna out and throw her in the back of the van. They weren't to very gentle with her. After all, Dominick did not tell them to treat her nicely, he just told them not to hurt her....his men took that to mean that they weren't to to kill her.

The men took Jenna to an abandoned warehouse. It was ready for them. Dominick had anticipated Jenna's plan, and had developed a plan of his own. The men chained Jenna spread-eagle to a wall and left the hood on her head. When Dominick got there, the men left. They knew Dominick was going to pay them well for the job, so, they followed his instructions carefully and kept watch outside, and they would not come back inside no matter what they heard.

Dominick approached Jenna. He walked up next to her and whispered into her ear... the hood still covering her head, "so, how do you think you son is going to do now that he will be without a mother?"

She smiled beneath the hood. Jenna felt the heat of Dominic's body close to hers. And when he spoke. His voice...his tone, was deadly. Something she should have been more aware of...and scared of.

"I'll let you know when I actually have a kid..." she whispered back to him.

That was a mistake.

A hard punch knocked Jenna's head to the other side...where she immediately tasted blood in her mouth.

Dominick winced as he struck Jenna...the bullet wound in his shoulder shooting pain down the entire length of his arm..to his fingertips. He knew that he was going to have to do something about that. The bullet had not exited his body...it was still lodged in his shoulder.

"So, I see that you have not changed much. That makes me happy, because it is going to be very enjoyable to hear you make your stupid, smartass comments as you are dying. You are going to make this even more fun than I thought it would be."

Dominick then took out his knife and began to cut Jenna's clothing from her body....slowly. The sound of the tearing material echoed in the large room of the warehouse. He took his time. There was no hurry. She was going to pay.....dearly. He left her chained to the wall in her bra, panties, and the hood. Then, he poured a bucket of ice water over her head.

The water was a surprise but the ripping of the clothing wasn't. She had heard Dominic use this technique before... and she was prepared...kinda...

Gasping from the cold water, Jenna leaned her head back, hood and all, laughing, "So, get it all over with already Dom... why drag things out? They're looking for us right now and I gaurantee you, they're going to find us in less then 2 hours..."

She was taunting him and they both new it. Trying to get a rise out of him..

"Oh, no Jenna. There is no hurry. If they are going to be here in two hours, then I am going to make this last for an hour and 59 minutes. I am going to use every last possible second. I have nevertheless one this before, but this time it is personal. I know I am not supposed to take anything personal, but this wound in my shoulder, and your previous betrayal are very, very personal to me."

The hood remained on, and he poured another bucket of ice water over her head. Dominick the went over and picked up to wires that were connected to a bank of batteries. He walked over to Jenna and took off his mask and showed her the wires. Then he replaced the hood.

"Really Dom?" She said, gasping from the second dousing of ice water, "Weren't you the one who said things couldn't....shouldn't get personal?"

Her eyes widened sight at the sight of batteries in his hands...even if ever so briefly she knew what was coming...and the look in his eyes..she had never seen it before...for the first time in a long time Jenna felt a small stab of fear....

"you don't have the balls Dom....." Jenna muttered....

Jenna reacted exactly how he had expected her to. He knew she would try to put on the "tough guy" act. That made what happened next even more fun for him. He touched her hips with the wires sending electrical current through her body. The intensity heightened by the presence of the water on her body.

"Really Jenna? Did you really think that would work on me? And yes, I did say things should never get personal, but this is different. I forgave you for the betrayal from years ago, and exposed myself to try to help you. What did I get for that? I got shot." He ripped the hood from her head and looked into her eyes with a glare that showed his hatred. "So, despite what I told you years ago, this is personal.....as personal as it gets."
