Here's How Donald Trump Could Become President

So you thought Don, sporting his stupid hat while handing over a box of frozen waffles or something, looked presidential? You set the bar pretty low, huh.

Um, well yeah.....where's Hillary? for that matter, where is Obama? Tee time?

Not clogging up traffic, not distracting disaster recovery professionals, not hogging the cameras, waiting until a visit is actually more helpful than harmful. Following the Governors wishes.

He took the time to lecture and offend the citizens of Louisiana, before hitting the links..

Trump has quite noticeably and very determinedly been going after the black vote the last few days. May be a futile effort, but it seems to have had a positive effect so far in the USC/LA Times poll, at least. Will be interesting to see if that support continues.

Check characteristics of candidate support:

It’s hard to imagine a much worse pitch Donald Trump could have made for the black vote

Sorry, 3b00b, he missed. He tried to grasp the black vote but his tiny hands just wouldn't let it happen.

Oh, well with that all planned, I'm sure any flood relief assistance to be offered by tge Clinton "charitable" foundaition can wait.

Nothing either candidate, or for that matter, the president of the United States can actually do, but the point being the same people that are making exvuses for her not showing up are the exact same people that vilified George Bush for simply doing a flyover

People were upset about Bush more for the performance of FEMA, and his obvious lack of interest in seeing that people were doing their assigned jobs. He put a horse lawyer in charge of the agency (his first FEMA director got the job as a reward for his role in the Florida theft), and then everyone acted surprised when it proved incompetent.

For Trump to show up wearing his campaign gear (talk about an amateur mistake) was all the proof you need as to what the purpose of his visit was.

If he really wanted the black vote -- which he doesn't; he's all in with the white nationalist community -- he'd actually talk to some black people. These latest speeches before white audiences are about trying to reassure traditional white Republican moderates who get nervous about overt appeals to racism.

I'm pretty sure Bush got vilified for "heck of a job, Brownie."

The president can (and presumably has) diverted resources. Trump is a billionaire. He can write a comically large check. This is literally, a frame for frame remake of 2012 and Super Storm Sandy and we all had this exact conversation. IT's like God reached down to give Republicans a do over and they decided "Derp, if having the rich guy show up in person and carry boxes for a photo op worked so well last time lets do it again!"

Really guys, we can't help you win if you keep ignoring us.

Trump may not win, but I don't believe he's as hated among the masses of non-white/non-black Americans [NWNBs or NBNWs] (the majority in my state) as the media makes out.

Sure, many hate him, but I listen closely to other peoples conversations especially when I hear the name "Trump" come up may radar goes up. I get the feeling that many non-white/non-blacks find him kind of humorous, and they may even respect some of his positions such as trade and putting America first. They may even find him kind of likable in some ways.

Yes, its anecdotal, but still I sense more outright hate against him from white liberals as well as the racist NWNB's like the LaRaza folks, etc. I don't think he's as hated as the media would like us to believe, even if they aren't ready to vote for him yet.

Of course he went, the most dangerous spot to occupy is the space between Trump and a camera. Maybe he'll even make a 'real' donation to charity this time.

That is the line most often used to describe Chuckie Shumer...

But your team was so fucking pissed that Bush only flew over...

:(

You're all flying over the cuckoos nest.

Bush and FEMA, for those of you whom have forgotten...

They were ready. The Democratic Leadership of Louisiana was not ready to ask Bush for help for political reasons. The Democrats let all of the escape from LA busses get flooded without mobilizing them.

How come none of the Democrats are quoting Mary Landrieu?

They're only repeating the Obama spin, Hillary would just be clogging things up!

We cannot help how large her ass has grown due to her sedentary, unhealthy lifestyle that forced her to take weekends off...

Let's face it...

Until The Donald went down there and embarrassed them, neither Clinton, Obama or the Democrat Party needed to talk to the voters of Louisiana because they are not a swing state. They are only the politicians of their side, not the American side.

The Trumpster taught them a lesson on what a President does; he goes to his people, all of his people, and feels their pain. Hillary and Barack are above all of that. They are not leaders, they are entitled rulers.

It's just one poll, but I wonder what caused that sudden jump in black support, which has persisted fairly well so far, declining only slightly. Will probably fall again soon to single digits, I would think, but we shall see.

8/18/2016 Trump 14.6 Clinton 80.0

8/19/2016 Trump 13.6 Clinton 80.7

Clearly, they're responding to Trump's belief that all black people are unemployed, live in slums, and commit massive voter fraud.

For someone who professes to know so much about how polls work, you sure do get excited by what is obviously a sample size fluke.

Sure, Alex, sure. Now tell us about how the lizard people secretly run the world.

Bwahahaha! :D

How cute, you have a nickname for your candidate.

And he goes to his people for a photo shoot and then flies home every night so he doesn't have to spend any actual time with them.

It must be exhausting to be so gottdamn wrong all the time. Adre was spot-on in repeating what the officials in the area politely asked for- for everyone to stay the fuck away so the relief efforts wouldn't be impeded.

Did Dubya have those same instructions regarding the fly-over?

Still waiting for that BMI, Porky. Funny coming from the guy whose idea of originality is parroting American Thinker five times a day.

These statements surprised and intrigued me:

Slavoj Žižek: 'Trump is really a centrist liberal'
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/apr/28/slavoj-zizek-donald-trump-is-really-a-centrist-liberal

"At a Guardian Live event, the Slovenian philosopher explains why he wants to ‘problematise’ Europe and why ‘the Donald’ is something of a paradox

Read Trump closely – it is difficult to do, I know – and if you extract his total racist and sexist stupidities, you will see that here and there, where he makes a complete proposal, they’re usually not so bad,” said Žižek. “He said he will not totally dismantle universal healthcare, raise the minimum wage, and so on.”

Trump is a paradox: he is really a centrist liberal, and maybe even in his economic policies closer to the Democrats, and he desperately tries to mask this. So the function of all of these dirty jokes and stupidities is to cover up that he is really a pretty ordinary, centrist politician.

Look, I know that with you and Throb it is very important to make yourselves feel better about yourselves by postulating that I have even worse problems, but it is not true.

You need to start asking Throb for links to his lies...
