Nope. A job offer is a job offer and it's illegal. Hell Carson is intentionally vague on the position either because he knows he's breaking the law or because he think's he's in the clear with his games.

First of all, Carson did not reference being offered a specific job, or any job at all, so far as I can tell, but second, he did not say a word about his endorsement being tied in any way to his possibly being an advisor in a Trump administration. This is worse than grasping at straws. It's going nowhere, as you have already indicated. Makes Trump opponents look foolish, or worse.

No. Did he say Trump offered him a job or a position in exchange for his endorsement? If he did, that would be a crime. If he didn't, this is a bunch of bullshit going nowhere.
