Here's How Donald Trump Could Become President

"...and I'm not sure I deserve it..."

That was actually brilliant.

When Trump was wondering aloud what his dad would think about him now, I'm pretty sure someone screamed, "You suck!"

He got to the boilerplate "uplift" part at 11:30 PM after a mere 70 minutes. More of this would have been better; instead we had a Leni Riefenstahl wet dream for what seemed like an eternity.

"More vengeance than hope. More hyperbole than details."

Lets move before thy raise the fucking rent.

Lmao

Are these people retarded?

Who chose this pretty important music.

omg

Also, I totally missed (but Twitter hasn't) that he gave shoutouts to his wife and Ivanka, but ignored the younger daughter, to whom he's been the ultimate absentee dad. No class.

"You Can't Always Get What You Want", which is playing now, is what he played before announcing his VP pick. lol

I was watching CNN and they did a CNN/ORC poll after Trump's speech. I'm surprised they announced the results. It was 75% favorable, including 57% very favorable, as I recall. A few shocked faces on camera.

They also reasonably pointed out that it was of people who watched/listened to the speech, most of whom would be folks who could stomach Trump to begin with. That's leaves a whole bunch of people out of the data set.

A more interesting CNN poll was the polling of their "uncommitted" focus group. 50 percent of them gave the speech a favorable vote. The previous night none in the group voted that they were more likely to vote for Trump after the Wednesday convention proceedings than before.

I find it troubling so many people won't even listen to Trump. I can't imagine not watching his speech tonight. I also find it troubling so many won't even listen to Hillary. That's very bad when such an important election is coming up. Ignorance is not the way to go.

I didn't see the part about the uncommitted focus group on CNN, but that sounds pretty favorable to Trump also, if I understand your comment about their attitude the previous night. I switched over to FOX and they had an uncommitted group also. One of those Frank Luntz groups. They were very favorably impressed with the speech, and a lot of them said they had decided to vote for Trump. Luntz asked how many had decided to vote for Hillary. Zero.

I'm looking forward to next week. This election is something else. In the meantime I'm going to see what I can learn about Tim Kaine. He's going to be Hillary's VP pick, I'm pretty sure.

I don't really find it troubling. The elections in America go on far far too long and if you don't know both of these individuals inside and out by now it's because you have specifically chosen not to pay attention and there is nothing to be done for it.

I don't have a problem with the length of elections. That's how we learn about the candidates inside and out. Not just the spin they love to put out.

Yeah, I don't have any trouble following what Trump is saying/doing from day to day--from his own, direct behavior.
