Hey All

Female Heroines

Hello and welcome, new here also and looking forward to seeing what comes about when you finally put pen to paper. I like sci-fi or wizardry/medieval style novels, but I also like stuff like Tom Clancy, and that style, and to be honest I have not seen too many female heroines. Good luck and I'll be watching for the stories to start.:)

Snork Maiden's new novel

Well yes ofcourse all this is leading up to the most anticipated novel of the 21st Century:)

I have a plot, and a plan it needs some more research but the prologue is reasonably imminent.

(I had thought about my college diary but then again lets not go there)

Can I be in the novel too? Can I? Can I? *jumps up and down*

but if you were to give me a role, make a kind prince or a magical creature (a nice one of course!) :)

21st Century novel

This one will not be like the Tom Sellek (?sp?) movie "Her Alibi", will it? (just kidding!) The College Diary sounds like a great place to start, changing names and all that sort of stuff, to add ananimety and curiosity, naturally. Keep digging we're anxiously awaiting, well atleast I am.

casting call

Actually I have a rather adorable half-orc assassin - who rather fancies himself as a cleric (although ofcourse he isn't)

And I also have a Mountain Dwarf who has a rather short temper and a Double headed battle axe.

I shouldn't give it al away should I ;)

Hello Snork, I can't belive I missed this thread until now. And boy what did I miss. First off, you are a wonderful to look at. :)

Second, I am also an author...sorta. I have many many idea's but don't have enough patience to write the story/books. But if you need any help what so ever on the book or around the boards or in life general, don't be afraid to ask! :) :rose:

Welcome to our world

Your pictures are GREAT!!:p
You are really a beautiful lady, with GREAT LONG legs, a beautiful smile, wonderful hair, terrific eyes, sensual lips, and a great body. Got any more pictures?? :rose:

I hope you enjoy and that we get to talk here sometime.

Olgentleman

reading now

I'm reading a lot of non fiction recently,
A lot of mythology, Norse, Roman and North American.

I particularly like the Norse mythos. I am also interested in the Celts and Wicca.

All good background reading.

Hi olGentleman - thankyou for your comments and welcome

What a cute outfit

Maiden,

With your arms holding your hair I come up from behind you, reaching around you slipping one hand under the leg of your shorts, the other lifting your top over your breast. My fingers gently rub your nipple as my other hand...... what would you like?

Welcome!

I know it has been said repeatedly and will happen again but Damn, you are so good looking. please keep the pictures coming.

as for females and fantasies, Glenn Cook has written the black company series and the main villian is a woman/sorceress who joins the good guys. in some of the novels, the lead character is a woman well. good sword and sorcery stuff.

please read my stories too. I like to write erotic fairytales and if they ever get my story off of pending, there is a story about what really happened with little red riding hood. also have one about Sinderella, emphasize SIN-....

I have the stories under my profile name or you can email me and will send them to you.

just start a thread and I know it will be poplular.
oh, by the way, congratulations on the baby on the way. parenthood is best thing that has ever happened to me. enjoy every moment of it.
bye
max

Sinderella

Now I have got to check those out. Adult faerie tales that appeals to me. :)

I'm reading non-fiction now too. I'm reading "A History of India". Got one on India before the British and then one on India after the British. I just finished a brief non-fiction about India and wanted to get a little more in-depth. India and Pakistan are giving us a lot of headline news so I thought I'd brush up a little on "previous" events.

I'm also reading the Puzzle Palace, a great book if you haven't read it.

I studied Rome last year at some length. It's fascinating. Didn't look much at the roman fiction or mythos, more a historical review covering Gaius Marius through Julius Ceasar. I should look a little beyond Ceasar, but the subject's a bit too large for now.

I love it when you're reading something and you come across something unexpected that goes into the brain's "A" file, maybe you could call them "Gems". Are you finding any "gems" in your reading?

The quote at the bottom of my posts for those who have asked, is a verse from a song written by Kate Bush, from her Sensual World Album. She is such a talented artist.

Snork Maiden, first off, welcome. Second, you are very attractive. Third, the only books I read, for the most part, are fantasy. I have read the Shanara books, atleast some of them, and I enjoyed them, but Dragonlance and Lord of the Rings have to be my two favorite books/series. And mythology and celts and wicca? Seems like we have a few of the same interests.

Snork, great websites and pics. It's not every day that I meet a beautiful woman who likes mythology and many things that I like also. Hope to get to talk to you more soon.

FYI The photo's link on your index page doesn't work or doesn't link like it should. Either that or you haven't made the page yet. :)

BUT, great looking website, and I am impressed at how well its done. :)

Hrm...a hidden half-orc that thinks he can heal himself and others? Would be funny, gets shot at with an arrow and tries to heal himself and not able to. Be glad he isn't a drunk dwarf, then there would be a lot of swearing. :)

But aren't dwarfs usually short tempered and have a big axe?

Firstly welcome to Cibo, LovetogiveRoses, Dracoa and pulaski and thankyou all for your continued kind comments.

Cibo, No I haven't heard of Dark Age of Camelot. Arthurian Legends aren't really that interesting to me because they seem too played out. Gleaming Castles, shiny knights, idealistic quests for relics mashed up with a lot of religious dogma I find fairly repulsive.

As with a lot of English medival folklore it is for certain the Romans had a big hand in integrating their new Christian faith into the existing pagan environment.

Thanks you for your comments on my website :) it took me all evening to put together:/ - and yes the photo link doesn't actually link anywhere at the moment I just didn't have any time to do any more pages.

Hey Dracoa - I have read practically everything Tolkein has written - I throughly recommend reading the Silmarillion. It was supposed to be published along with the Lord of the Rings as a supporting book but at the time Tolkein's publisher refused. It was finally published about 10 - 15 years after the Lord of the Rings. If you read the Silmarilion first, the Lord of the Rings makes a lot more sense.

Hi Lovetogiveroses,

I was lucky enough to visit Rome a few years ago. Beautiful city and great friendly people, ice cream to die for.
An even more beautiful city is Istanbul, so much culture it is overwhelming. The whole of the mediteranean region is rich with mythology although I find the Greek myths much more enchanting, the Persian Tales from what is now Iraq and Iran are also full of wonderful creatures and djins and daemons.

Thank you for the warm welcome Snork. :)
And yes, I do agree with you for them being played out, but its fun never the less. :)

Even though I'm not a big person on religion and the backround of it, I'll take your word for it on the Romans helping make the new Christian faith.

And it only took you one evening to make that website? Wow, would take others a week or so to make it. But, hope to get to know you better while you stay here on Lit. :) :rose:

She's right

"As with a lot of English medival folklore it is for certain the Romans had a big hand in integrating their new Christian faith into the existing pagan environment."

To verify what Snork said, all the above she said is true and any looking in to world history would show this to be proven to any beyond a shadow of a doubt. Furthermore christianity only showed up in 1500-1800 B.C. and is a young patriarchal religion as are most that regretably hold sway in the world today. The most regretable being the denying women rights to be treated as equals to men by many in past and up to present day the repercussions seen.

The roman empire still exists in present days society with history showing that one of its emperors converted to christianity incepting what is known as the Roman Catholic Church. Where despicably abuseful child molestations have occured for multiple millenia and are being attempted to be covered in many parts of the world. Clearly apparent are so many of old roman decadent practices still existing in the "modern" world.

But of course most in the western world dont know a lot of, yet participate unknowingly in covering up the crimes of christianity. The most obvious in this is the St. Patricks Day celebration where twas said that he was responsible for removing the snakes from Ireland. The snakes actually were pagans upon whom christian cleansing/ genocide was enacted upon. And I for one do not celebrate mass murder for any reason even if it puts me at odds with every christian upon the planet.

Snork's use of the term "integration" and is perhaps the politest way of putting things upon a grander scale. With some integration happening in peaceful good manner. But there were others that are with out question acts of out right pure evil. Inquisitions, witch hunts, genocides, multiple abuses and more.. these are but a few reasons I myself am not active in any specific religion other than to uphold good with love and truth.

To reiterate, Snork is right and knows of what she speaks and I just thought to verify and add my own opinionated truths to ;)
