Hey I'm on Welfare, take it off baby!!

But you can flip whatever you buy with it. It's as good as cash. Hell back in the day you could sell the stamps themselves, good as cash.

There are lots of trailer park kids going to bed/school with another belly full of koolaid and oatmeal because titties n' beer made possible directly by welfare. It will happen all across the deep south, today, right this very second and continue on along as long as it's facilitated.

There is an element of the welfare crowd that will take their food money and go blow it on whatever their vice is...booze, gambling, drugs, sex...poof the food money is gone the day they get it. And as long as we as a society keep giving this specific set of folks anything of value they will continue to exploit it to fuel their addictions.

Personally I'm fine with it, it's going to happen but I think over all it's a small % of assholes and it really does help a lot of desperately fucked people. So *shrug* besides food stamps are really a drop in the bucket.

If we are going to attack welfare corporate welfare sucked straight from the genitals of congress critters is the welfare problem....RepOHz just don't want to highlight that because at that level there are just as many red hogs at the gubbment slop trough as there are blue.

It would have been possible to sell food stamps, but selling the groceries would not be as simple. It could be done, but there would be no difference between that and buying the food with an EBT card and selling it, so there is no difference there between the two methods of distribution.

The idea is to ensure that people use the food stamps or EBT cards to buy food and, although there is no certain way, placing restrictions on the cards so they can only be used at food stores would help.

I never said they were inherently different.....and no it's not hard to sell food, it has an intrinsic value to EVERYONE. Shit would take like 5 min in the hood...

The people who need it and use it for that are already going to....the folks flipping it for titties and beer are not going to be convinced.

Prove it.....

See this is just an assumption you have taken up cause for and you don't have the tiniest fuckin' shred of evidence to back it up, because it sounds good to the conservative herpaderps looking for another 'fuck america' bandwagon to jump on.

But just to clarify I want you to be a partisan bullshitter and tell us exactly how much titties n' beer will be prevented by having to walk across the street/next door to the next atm? Rhetorical question, if you're trying legitimately quantify the savings to the state from a law like this you're full of shit.... having to go to a different ATM not where titties n' beer are sold exclusively is not going to stop titties n' beer for those who are already burning their grocery money on titties n' beer. It's an unstoppable combo for those so addicted....

To actually stop welfare from being abused into funding party time would require a TOTAL from the ground up restructuring of our welfare system. It would cost a grip and improving things in this area would piss the GOP off to no fucking end because it might help citizens of the US. Which seems to be the thing conservatives hate the most....
