Yes, there was a lot of security.
No machine guns, but police EVERYWHERE! The clubs all had their own security all over the place. I also keep telling people that the "spring breakers" were great. There were lines to get i the clubs/bars, money all over and I never saw so much alcohol flowing yet everyone was patient and saw no problems. The worst thing I saw were a few kids that werer too drunk, but not obnoxious. There were also plenty of security there as crossing gaurds and ready to get you cabs.
