HG thread, should I?

Sushi

Flirty, it is ok if you don't like sushi, but I love it. Truth be told, however, I'm extremely limited in what I actually eat. I pretty much stick to tuna, yellowtail (a kind of tuna), and salmon. I will eat the broiled fresh water eel every once in a while, but it isn't my favorite.

I tried Uni (Sea Urchin) once and didn't like it.

If you ever go to a sushi restaurant, try the salmon skin hand roll. The salmon skin is broiled, and is crispy like bacon. It is very good. There are also always some cooked cut rolls to choose from.

One of my all time favorite foods is Miso soup. To me, it feels like pure nutrition. My wife, who lived in Japan for a number of years, favors 'white' miso, which is very mild and almost sweet. It is nearly impossible to find in restaurants, however.

Another all-time favorite is a kind of tofu shooter with ponsu sauce, green onions, and dried bonito flakes.

As for beef, I tend to favor the Rib Eye, although I make a tasty machaca (shredded brisket) with an old family recipe. Tri Tip is also a popular item at my house. I tend not to cook roasts, mostly because I don't feel confident. I have a good cook book, and should read it sometime. Bison is very good too.
