I couldn't get on last night. Phone Co. did some work up the road and managed to short out our service. I then had to go back to work to investigate an alarm fault. Ah, the joys of growing responsibility.

The two appointments over the weekend were no-shows, but we had one yesterday evening and another scheduled for either today or tomorrow (this one is coming into town and must move in by mid-august) Good to sell fast but, what to do if it does??? It took us 6 mos. to sell last house. I'm being sneaky and "casually" leaving a sales flier for the boat laying out

Hi Jade

Phone Co. wanted to wait until the next day to send a repairman out, I told them I needed the service fixed that night. I was about to call the owner and complain, but they came on out. (Nice thing about working for another utility in the same town, you tend to know people )

I haven't had any feedback on either the house or the boat. I know people that come in look at the boat flier, I place it a very specific way on the table and it is moved when I get back.

I need to get the boat in the Trader magazine but work has been so hectic I haven't had time. We are going through annual leak survey AND we are only six weeks out from end of year inventory. I'm walking a tightrope trying to keep just enough stock on hand without having so much to count next month. The fun continues.

I'd love to get on and chat with you, but our schedules just don't seem to mesh. Maybe soon.

Oh yes Tom Clancy is just a wonderful writer. I like his books better than most of the movies. I don't think that the movie does it justice. I did think "Clear and Present Danger" came the closes to the book.

May I ask are you really a shy guy? Or is this just something you made up?

Yes I agree with you, the books are better than the movies, but it always seems that way dosen't it?

And yes in some situations I am a shy guy in real life as well, but not in other situations.

It is so nice hearing from you. It must be nice having connections like that. The last time I needed getting someone out to look at my phone connection it took 2 days.

I am sure you will find a buyer anyday now. Than you will be able to go ahead and but that boat of yours. When you do I want to see pictures of it. You never know when I might be down that way on business and will just pop in.

Well have to get going for now but will try to be on later tonight.

I agree with Canadian, you do post a pretty pic.

Part of the phone thing is we are a small town, so service should be a little faster. I was just irked that I had to ASK for someone to come out that night. Anyway, I got what I wanted.

You've got an open invitation to pop in anytime.

My biggest fear is not being able to find financing I can afford on a boat with some age on it. BOAT/US, a membership services company, will not finance anything over 20 years old. Of the two boats I have found that meet my needs, one is 30 years old - worth about $30,000 and the other is 17 years old and worth about $55-60,000. I haven't really talked with anyone other than BOAT/US as I am only in the fact finding/planning stages. I did do a search for marine financing and got several sites to inquire of.

There I go again, talk about motorboats and I get a motormouth!
