aegis, so nice seeing you again. Thank you for sharing alittle about yourself. How are things in England? I am guessing you still have friends in the forces? I wish them all a safe return and my thanks for doing such a brave job. Congrats on your marriage.

England ? Well lets see, it doesnt rain as much here as most folks on your side of the pond thinks, but it does have its problems. For example, the country is being overrun by bleeding heart liberals who want us to accept every waif and stray in the world across our borders... I have my own views on that, but am not going to go all political on you !

Enough to say though, I am looking forward to next year when my beloved and I move to the States...

Perceptive of you to spot I may still have friends in the Forces. Absolutely true... Some on HMS Ark Royal, others in the Desert with 42 Commando... Like you, I wish them all a safe return... One of my friends though, has sent me a message, he says he saw the following in the for sale column !

"For Sale - One AK 47 Assault Rifle. One careful owner in Iraqi Army. Never fired, but dropped once. Free to a good home"

As for my marriage, there was a lot of luck involved in us getting together, but I reckon we are the perfect mixture... Whatever that mix is, it all works for us...

Nice to see the pics of your friends little one... They are pretty cute at that age arent they ? Could just love em to bits !

Hi Hongluobo, so nice seeing you again? How are things in China? Hope you are safe from the sars. What have you been up to?

Well the SARS is getting a bit more scary... what with the health alerts we are getting from the international schools, the Finnish guy who just died here and a Canadian in the hospital. Our all too short Spring has finally arrived with trees flowering, but also with the wind blowing from the north (probably will have sandstorms a few times due to desertification of the mongolian plateau)... am running an executive search business and barely getting by, but life is very interesting here... and I am also have so much fun on Lit with my threads and pictures. My Singaporean wife is always on Lit these days (Gusty Wind). If you want to see some photos from China, you can check out my Artsy Fartsy thread which I use for my non-erotic/nakey pictures.

I was just reading a story about the mongolian plateau the other night. It looks like the desert is spreading very fast. They did have some research going on about crow rotation that seems to help stop the spread in some areas.
I did not know you and Gusty Wind were married that is so cool. I have checked both of your threads in the past and I have to say some wonderful photos. Well I hope you are safe and everything is going well.

Hi Jade. Not much going on down here in the Heart of Dixie. Weather has been kind of screwy, but that's not a new thing in this part of the world. Charleston and Savanah are both great places. However, if you are looking for good beaches and friendly people come to the Gulf Coast. The beaches are wonderful here. Pretty good weather most of the time, and lots of fun to e had. Ok, I'm beating around the bush here. If you came to my neck of the woods we could meet and have coffee. If you had your heart set on Charleston or Savanah I don't really blame you for going to either one. They are wonderful places to visit. Anyway, nothing really much planned for this weekend. Just going to hang out with my friends and do some roleplaying. Think about what I said, Jade. If you think it's a good idea. Let me know. Catch you later, Jade. Take care.

I see our bleeding heart liberals are famous, thats free speach at work isnt it ? I dont like what they are saying, and to be honest, I wish they would shove off somewhere else. But, and here is the kicker, I took an oath to defend their freedoms, including their right to free speach, so I have to put up with it. Dont get me wrong, I thing they are way out of order, but they do have the right to say what they are saying.

Unfortunately over the last 25 years or so, this country has become more and more liberal, we have finally reached the situation where the indiginous population (irrespective of skin colour, religion or ethnic origin) is fast becoming a minority group. To be honest, thats one of the reasons we are heading to the states next year. The EEU, EU, Common Market or whatever you want to call it, really has had a detrimental effect on us in England.

A great deal of our laws, particularly those relating to "refugees" (80% are bogus) come from European legislation and have nothing whatsoever to do with our judicial system. The bad part of all this, is the only people in Europe who actually observe these laws, are the British. For example, Germany, France, Greece, and Italy (to name a few) regularly help people across Europe just so they can get to England rather than stay in whichever country they have been found in..... I could go on, but this is your thread, not mine ! (lol) and its time I got off my soap box...

I am with you about the men and women of our combined armed forces coming home safely. Over here, we dont do the yellow ribbon thing (although there is someone starting a campaign to do that), what we do, is to keep a light burning in the window so that our loved ones will be able to find their way home. My family did that for the safe return of my brother and I from the South Atlantic during the 1982 Falklands War, I only found out about it last year.... Kind of touching and brought a lump to my throat...

BTW: No need to thank me about kind words, I say it as I see it and I do like to tell the truth ! The truth needs no thanks !

Did I tell you my wife is 50% Japanese ? Tis an interesting combination... She has all the qualities of a typical Japanese wife, but also has a lot of the independant thought that her fathers side of the family has given her. Basically, I get the best of all worlds and I think it is a winning combination... For my part, I try to be the best best best husband I possibly can be... I dont always succeed, but at least I try and thats not something I see in a lot of people my age... Most guys in their 40s seem to treat women as doormats or housemaids, although I do admit that its not restricted just to us 40 somethings !

anyway, I seem to have rambled on a bit here, so I'll cut it short there and just say Thanks for being a Friend !

You better not be forgetting that Capt. Berk is only about five hours from Charleston.

Remember, the heat and humidity become oppressive as the summer goes on. Mid to late spring / early summer in both Charleston and Savannah are beautiful. The temps are still in the upper 80's and 90's in late September.
