Hi Krondarr, so nice seeing you again. What do you have planned for this weekend? Thank you for the advice on the south. Don't really have my heart set on any place really. I just want to see some of the wonderful history and buildings from down there.

Aegis, so nice hearing from you again. How are things on your side of pond? You don't h ave to tell me about liberal media and governments. We have the same thing here in Canada. I just hope all the brave men and women who are fighting in Iraq and those at home in the coalation that most of the people of Canada are with you and are ashamed that our govenment hasn't helped.

No, you never told me that your wife was 50% Japanese. I am so glad to hear that things are working out so weel for you both. Sometimes with a mixed relationship it is hard to make things work but I think you two are a wonderful example of how love can work. You have given me hope.

Rumblecarrot, how are you? Horseback riding? That sounds so fun. I haven't done that since I was a kid. Do you have your own horse? I hope you will post some pics I would love to see.

Canadian, what is happening with you? Any plans for the long weekend? How is your team doing in the playoffs? I know it is all that everyone is talking aobut at work?

I am doing just fine thank you. Yes the family is all safe and no signs os SARS thanks for asking. It is so terrible and I hope they can find a cure soon. The only problem I am having is with stupid pop ups when I am on line. I have no idea how to get rid of them. They are driving me crazy.
So you have any plans for the weekend? What is all new with you?

now those cookies really look yummy.... you should bake more often... and I am not so sure bi-cultural marriages are that difficult to work out... (except maybe with in-laws) and the children that result are ssooo incredibly beautiful and smart... of course I guess thinking Chinese like me probably helps as we have been together for 24 years now.

and Berk, my mom and my brother live near Beaufort... you around that area.... and Savanah is truly a beautiful place..

Hi Jade. Nice hearing from you too. Nothing to big planned for this weekend. Just my usual roleplaying on Saturday night. Sunday being Easter I will be going to my brother's house and having dinner there. I don't blame you for wanting to see the historical stuff. That's part of the reason I stay here. Hi Jade, well with a bit of luck and some patience, the soldiers, sailors and airmen currently in the Gulf area will be home real soon... as for the bleeding heart liberals, I feel they should go and try to do something physically impossible with their heads... but then from their attitudes, I think they have already done it !

I agree with you about mixed marriages, but you know something the 50% of my wife that is American kind of balances things out for us... As for hope, there is someone out there for all of us... In about September 1996, a "clairvoyant" friend of mine told me that I would be meeting an oriental woman, but she would come from the West, not from the East. She told me that I would meet said oriental woman at about the end of April, or the beginning of May 1997. I would not be introduced to her, talk to her on the telephone, or write her a letter. Well that kind of stumped me as to how we would meet.

Anyhow I forgot all about what my friend had told me. In December 1997, I got myself on the internet (AOL) and started surfing around and joining in the banter in various chatrooms. On May 2nd 1998, my (now) wife started chattering with me and the rest as they say, is history !

So you see, love can come from the least expected direction, when you least expect it !

I'm doing pretty well, princess. and I'm glad to hear you and your family are, as well.

I have been to Charleston about three times.. so , I don't go often. It changes a bit each time I go. I'd love to go again soon, and Savannah, also... only been there once.... stayed on a barrier island about 10 miles out of town, called Tybee Island; a very pretty and quaint community. From the north beach you can watch the ships coming in from sea to the Savannah river and Port Savannah, and the channel is so close in... they pass about 1000 meters offshore. There's so much to see in both cities... I'd love to be able to sail around the area and spend days or weeks exploring. It might even be fun to retire there and study and teach the history.

I've spent the weekend just hanging around the house.. it's been cool and damp here... some of us thought it was supposed to clear and get warm on Saturday - it didn't - we didn't go to the lake as we thought. When it's like that, I don't feel much like going to the lake. They've taken out the sattelite TV... too many problems with it... of course if the idiots would quit getting bootleg cards and actually PAY for the service.....
and the boat is too small to do anything with on a dreary day. It would be much different with three rooms and a place for the computer, TV, and all my books.

Nothing really new here... the house and boat are both getting more inquiries... I'm hoping something breaks soon.. I'm getting so stressed and frustrated that I'm becoming tense and short tempered at work... I hate that... I've worked so hard to get things settled down, and now, due to my temperment, I'm afraid I'm losing credibility and respect.

Well, this got longer than it should have... shoulda put it in a PM...

Hi Jade. My weekend was nice. Yes, I got stuffed with turkey and other good foods along with the rest of my family

My friends and I play a game called Champions. It's basicly a superhero game, but you can make any kind of character you want. I play a psychotic ninja asassin who smarts off to characters that are more powerful than he is. He is also a pilot, and is deadly accurate with all kinds of weapons especially pistols. Pretty crazy huh?

HI Jade, how are things? Ya, my team lost and are now out of the play offs. So now I will be shouting GO Canucks GO! Not much new happening here. Work is still keeping my really busy and I am planning a trip to Japan so allot of work getting ready for that. Anything up for the weekend?

Hi Jade. Nice seeing you too. Things are going well. Nothing too exciting going on right now. Thanks for the compliment, sweetie. Those two are some of my favorite characters. I think if you saw what I do with my ninja you would understand and appreciate how well I play him. The game is going well. My ninja just attained master status. I should mention that the setting is Star Wars with a twist. It would take too long to explain the twist to the story.

Hey Canadian. It's a multiplayer game, but it's not online. It is a paper and pencil type game where you roll dice for the random variable. The dice rolls definately make the game more interesting.
