Who said you couldn't do anything with a university degree? It seemed to me almost too easy getting a job after graduation. I sent a few resumes here and there, gaining a few interviews. Among them, I decided to work at a large, world-renown banking firm. Not so bad for a gal just out of school right? It was a great place, I loved it already, now in my second month working there. I was even invited to their grand party, held every September, where every manager, executive and adviser would attend (or so I heard).
I was, quite possibly, the center of attention at first. Every man in the busy setting seemed to be set on me and me alone. I found it odd, considering that most of these individuals were married and were clearly hitting on me. What was there not to like though? This sort of thing happened all the time. I had all the right curves and was not afraid to show it; I was dressed in a white tank top with the right amount of cleavage to compliment was well endowed chest and tight blue jeans that hugged my plump backside. Most people in here were dressed in a very casual sort of way, so I didn't feel like I stuck out like a sore thumb.
But I wasn't really into the party; everyone was seemed fixated on work and talked about how well their stocks were doing. I resisted the urge to scoff every time and found my way into another room, where about eight individuals were playing poker. Finally, something that was fun!
"Mind if I join in?" I asked, seeing how the game was just starting up.
