It doesn't appear that anybody lied though and the like they are accused of is counter productive. It's one thing getting caught in a lie that that furthers your cause but the like the admin is accused of isn't even productive to their end game.

You honestly don't believe there are terrorist cells (and probably American funded ones as well) stationed all over the world to take advantage of a "good" situation if they stumble into one? Tell me, were shocked when we got caught spying on Germany or just pissed about the incompetence that lead to getting caught? Because that's what you have to believe to keep this as a lie, that there are no cells of terrorists all over the Middle East (and likely in America) who have orders to jump in if there are riots or protests or anything that looks like an opportunity to further their goals.
